This lens is made with focus on the price and looks very affordable.His whole body is made from plastic which makes this lens very light.Also the focusing mechanism is outside of this lens which makes holding camera little difficult and you have to watch your fingers where they are if you do not want messed up the focusing mechanism or you can use manual focus.There is a better lenses on the market for not too much money then this in this class.

I bought this lens that came in a package deal with the Canon Rebel 2000 and the Tamron 100-300mm f/5-6.3. This is the lens that I use 90% of the time, and it has held up very well. The pictures come back very sharp and the quality of the prints are very good at most focal lengths. However, there are a few things I should note about this lens that I'm not too pleased with.

1) The autofocus system is a little slow and rather noisy.

2) The zoom operates in an odd way. Most zoom lenses are shortest at the lowest focal lengths, and extend at the higher focal lengths. This lens,however, is shortest at about 50mm and gets longer for both 28mm and 80mm. It's kind of an odd setup, and it has led to a small problem. If I have the focus set to infinity or near it, and have it on autofocus, the zoom ring is sticky, or hard to move when I get to 28mm. If I have the same setup but put the lens on manual focus, rotating the zoom cuff will actually rotate the focus ring a small amount, until it is away from infinity. Now I don't know if this happens eventually to all of these lenses, or just mine. But this problem did not happen until several months after I purchased and used the lens.

But overall, this is a very nice lens. It is small and compact, and perfect to leave on the camera all the time. As I said before, the pictures turn out great, which is all you can ask for in a lens.

This is the lens that came packaged with my Nikon N80. I've used it for over 1 year and deem it average. The autofocus is slow and noisy. Lens flare is an issue at almost every focal length. And the focus ring rotates which makes using a circular polarizer something of a pain. For [the price]it is passable. However, I recommend that you dig deeper in your pockets and buy something more robust and without the aforementioned niggling problems.

This is a great lens. I use it with a nikon SLR camera and although I am a beginner in photography, this lens makes it easy to look like a professional. What I like most about this lens is the the feel. The lens is very sturdy and has a rubber piece for easy control. Highly recommend.

I purchased this Ionizair hoping that it would be an inexpensive alternative to the much more expensive Ionic Breeze series from the Sharper Image. However, after just a week of running it in my room, there was nothing on the filters! I had placed it close to a particularly dusty area with plenty of ventilation on the sides (about 4 feet from the closest wall), but a week of running yielded nothing on the filters. Additionally, I am prone to allergies but my symptoms did not improve. I would not recommend this product. I returned it.

I purchased two of these. One of them stopped working about three weeks after I began using it. I ended up wrapping both of them up and sending them back since Amazon will not take back anything after 30 days. Maybe I just got a lemon??

I hardly sneeze anymore, so I know this little sucker is working. It also adds a nice ozonic scent to the air. One day, when the price comes down on the substantial ionizers, I'll get one. But for now, this one fits the bill.

As for the lens, they work well. They are not something you would
expect to find in a professional photographers bag but then again a professional photographer would have a much more advanced (and expensive) camera. For the home photographer this is perfect.

The multi-lens set (in conjunction with the lens adapter) expands the usefullness of the DC240 camera. Wide-angle, telephoto, and close-up lenses allow you to capture great pictures in most any situation.

The wide-angle lens lets you get more content into your shot. Those panoramic shots of the landscape are now possible. With the telephoto lens, you can zoom in (2x) on those faraway objects. Finally, get super detail with the close-up lenses.

A fine accessory for a fine camera.

1) it's all plastic

2) it's gonna cost you about... per year to keep this machine operating (replacement wick, air filter, and bacteria killing chemicals). that's a great business model for bemis, but not for the consumer. there are other models that humidify without wicks and without the use of chemicals.

This product definately lives up to the humidifier side, but I found that it was only decent as an air purifier, not really measuring up to some of Bemis' other fine products.

We bought this product, as part of our Dr. Weil '8 Weeks to Optimum Health' regimen. And, we really love it. During the winter, when the bedroom gets so dry, the humidifier really does the trick. And, it may be in our heads, but the air really does seem to be cleaner than in the rest of the house.

This product has great air quality ratings (HEPA, etc.) relative to other products in its price range, and was easy to set up, etc.

Our only gripe is that it is a bit of a pain to clean. You need to take it all apart, etc. However, this may be the case with all of these products, and thus, may just be par for the course.

We recommend this product whole-heartedly.

Save your money. Had seen others write that filter was assembled backwards and other flaws. They were right.

Cheaply designed and made. Get a Heliopan from Adorama, you'll be very pleased.

I have other Tiffen filters and I love their overall quality but I ordered this polarizer on-line and it was defective. After studying the lens itself, I found that it was assembled backwards! As you look through it from the male threaded side of the lens, there was no polarization but looking through from the female threaded side I would notice proper polarization (I set out a bowl of water with sunlight shining on it at an angle). I quickly returned this one and went to my favorite local camera store to purchase the same filter, at least I got to inspect it before buying. I highly recommend this filter but if you buy on-line be sure give it a close inspection as soon as you get it!

What a revelation! For the longest time I had been taking photographs without a filter only to end up with hazy skies and washed out scenes near the water. I got this filter before my honeymoon to Tahiti and as a result I came back with fantastick pictures. You simply turn the filter to get the correct angle for the UV rays. Clouds appear crisper and blue skies are much more vivid. The filter also helps to drastically reduce reflections particularly off of water surfaces.

This is a re-tread of Canon's APS 55-200 lens. It complements the 18-55 that comes with the Digital Rebel, but doesn't really have much else going for it. So-so image quality, and cheap plastic/poor quality construction. In general, a wobbly lens is NOT a good thing!

If you're looking for something in this price range, I would recommend the 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 USM. For about the same money, you get ring USM, better image quality, and solid construction.

If really need the longer focal length, spend the extra money for a 75-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM which has image stabilization and comparable image and build quality to the 28-105. Or invest in a 70-200 f/4 L, which while pricey, is a vastly superior lens that will last a lifetime, and hold its resale value.

I bought this lens to complement the 18-55mm that came with my Digital Rebel, giving me a complete range from 18-200mm. Given that the Rebel effectively makes all lenses more telephoto (multiply by 1.6 for 35mm equivalent), and that I like to shoot in the range near 55mm, this lens seemed like a better idea than the more readily available 75-300mm lenses.

Its build quality feels a lot like that of the 18-55mm, a little wobbly but nothing that interferes with using it. Autofocus seems a bit slow sometimes, but that may also just be the smaller aperture (and less light), especially at the telephoto end. My only real complaint is that the lens has some softness to it, especially past 135, even when I use a small aperture and mount it on a tripod.

For the price, though, it's excellent, and should hold me for the years it'll take to save up for L-series glass.

I thought it included adapter and booklet but the only items inside were round polarizer and uv filters.

Note to buyer, I thought I would get adapter ring,filter holder and booklet with this product but I didn't.I only recieved 2 filters, uv filter and polorizer included.

It seems Zenith has quality control problems they are not dealing with. I bought a Zenith TV which had both a tuner and power supply failure within its short 3 1/2 year life span. The repair was more than the TV was worth! The tuners are junk and the power supplies are inadequate. I also purchased a Zenith DVD player that failed to work right out of the box!

I will never buy a zeith again... We bought ours and it lasted 1yr and 9 months and quit. The cost of repair was greater than the cost of a new TV. I would think a TV would last longer than a yr and 9 months.

I ALSO had the PIP fail in my unit, in fact - it never worked out of the box. Zenith service sent someone out, they had to haul it away for a few days (couldn't fix it onsite), and I got it back. Worked fine ever since. No other problems. So, only that little annoyance, and I'll give it 4 out of 5.

I've been trying to get good results with the Coolpix 5000, but with very limited success. The problem is the back light source -- and that the camera automatically zooms to 1.4x digital zoom. So, you start off with an iffy light source and the loss of image and resolution -- no thanks! It is also not exactly rugged material in construction, either.

If you do get this, the best light source seems to be a light box (which I don't have) or setting your computer monitor to a blank word processing page and adjusting the monitor's brightness. On the other hand, experimenting with various light sources (color and intensity) could create a whole new avenue for manipulating the results, but I'd rather do that in Photoshop, etc.

Bottom line: ok for fast and dirty, but forget it if you want high quality transfer from slide to digital. Save your money: get a print and scan it.

I bought this outfit with the hopes of copying slides and stills with my coolpix 995. I can say that it does a fair job if you get an even light behind the lens. If not...forget about it. Then I saw the quality of a coolpix scanner, scanned image. I am now saving for the scanner.
My advice is if you are looking for a easy cheap way to transfer negative and get decent quality this is the ticket.
If you on the otherhand are going to take the time to scan lots of your precious memories you may want to purchase a higher end scanner.

I love this, but don't expect the same results you would get with a top of the line film scanner. You'll have to work a little harder yourself to get the light right. It works great with a light table, or overcast daylight. Sunlight works for dark negatives or slides. Just remember, the color of the light you use will make a difference in the copy. If you use this outside point the lens straight up toward the sky (away from the sun), find a white wall, or hang a white sheet, paper, or card to aim at, and be aware of where your shadow is falling, otherwise you may get some unwanted shadowy background, or muddied color in the copy. I use this with a Coolpix 950 and have had spectacular results with black and white copy negs and good results with both color negs and slides.
