Does not work with Nokia 3650
This adapter does not work with a Nokia 3650 cell phone! I purchased this because it was the cheapest USB/Bluetooth adapter and from what I had read they pretty much all worked the same. What a mistake. After doing a little research, I've found other postings on the web of others who have had similar problems trying to get this to work with their phones.

Unfortunately, I got the adapter a few days before the phone and I've already thrown away the box. Oh well, $25 down the drain...

Operating range is poor
I purchased this item so I could HotSync my Palm Tungsten T3 from my couch which is 15 feet from my computer. According to this product's specs, that should have been well within its operating range. I was very disappointed to find that it only worked within a 10 foot range. I have tried contacting IOGear via email, but they have not responded to my query for help.

Works great!
I had no problem installing this on on XP machine. It doesn't work with Win 2003 server yet, but tech support said they are working on drivers and will be available soon.

Iogear's customer support is good, I emailed them and received a response same day.

Works great with my Sony Ericsson T-610.

    Get the Nikon 70-300 instead
This lens does have some nice features, the most notable of course is the ability to go from a semi-wide angle shot all the way to 300mm and zoom in. The lens has a locking feature that allows you to lock the zoom.
Unlike the other reviewers I was not happy in the least with the prints I got using this lens. I took six test rolls of film and found the pictures to be sub-par. The auto focus on this lens seems to be the main culprit. Even in conditions with good lighting this lens seemed to be forever focusing, and half the pictures still seem to lack focus. The color separation was horrible on the prints. Until I bought this lens I never had a problem getting good pictures using automatic settings on my camera (N70).
I brought this lens back and bought the Nikon 70-300 and continued using my Quantray 28-80 for the majority of my shooting. The difference was noticeable, immediately noticeable. The Nikon lens focus's quicker, and the prints come out a heck of a lot better.

    Wishful thinking
Having carried two cameras (Nikons with Nikor zooms) to give me a range of 28 to 300mm, I thought it would be great to have the same range and only have to lug one camera. Being a loyal Nikon fan and user, I was somewhat leary of the Tamron Brand. I did some research and used the lens to take some test rolls. The test results were fine. The Zomm action worked very hard in the beginning & Within six months it was so loose that you could not hang it over your shoulder without locking the lens, because it would extend to 300mm on its own. I just returned from Alaska and the Tamron was not satisfactory in my opinion. Half way through the trip it started to take longer for the auto-focus to focus - if it did at all. During a glacier trek it was damaged - I'm not getting it fixed! I'll lose 100mm and buy the Nikon 28-200 Zoom.

    Nice piece of equipment
I've been using one of these for about 18 months. Mainly in Asia so I have no feel for cold climate performance, but it seems pretty well resistant to humidity. In that time I've shot approximately 380 rolls of film, with this lens responsible for about 70% of the frames that's about 9 - 10,000 pictures, exposure accuracy and focusing have been excellent (Nikon F90s and F100). For a lens of this focal range it is well protected from flare. I have routinely produced acceptable 11 X 14 prints (100 ISO film). My biggest complaint is that after a "wearing in" period the lens doesn't creep, it runs, and you have to get used to using and, not forgetting to, releasing the lock. This does make for complications on "down hill" shots with the camera on a tripod.

It isn't perfect, but for an all-in-one lens for touring, it comes pretty damn close.

    Vignetting is a BIG problem
Cut-off corners should NEVER be a problem with a lens accessory marketed by Kodak for its own cameras. Auxiliary lenses are available from other makers including Sunpak. Perhaps they will show less vignetting or none at all. In any case, blocking part of the viewfinder is inevitable, as is some image softening with any accessory lens - even the superb Schneider-Kreuznach optics once made for the classic little Kodak Retina IIIC of the 1950s.

The other review has one inaccuracy
I just received my lens, and I read the instructions. You have to use your zoom button and zoom all the way out in order to get a full picture. This is the first thing noted in the instructions. If you don't, you will, as the other review said, get a picture that only fills the center of the view--the rest will be black. It definitely pays to read the instructions. This is actually a good tool--I took a few pictures of the same shot with and without, and the extra zoom is significant.

    Great Product!
I just got this lens and used it with my Kodak DX4530. It took very good photos on the Auto setting. Got a few nice wildlife pictures. It's important to follow the instructions in the manual: (1) to use the optical zoom so that the picture fills the entire view and (2) to use the LCD screen. The blocking of the view finder with the accessory lenses is not unique to Kodak. It happens with other point-and-shoot cameras because of their design. If you want to do more with your point-and-shoot camera, this is a good way to go.

      INCOMPATIBLE, INCOMPATIBLE, INCOMPATIBLE! Ugh!
See the excellent review below which lists the pitiful handful of Sigma lenses that this teleconverter is compatible with. I wish I'd read it before I ordered it (I had to return it after opening it, the list is only INSIDE the booklet*). I have several wonderful Sigma lenses, but none are on that list, and the ones on that list would duplicate what I have, so I have no intention of bying one of the few lenses this teleconverter could work with. *Also inside the booklet is a warning that trying to use the lens with any lens not on the list may damage both the converter and the lens. Well, yeah, a quick glance shows that they used the standard connecting bayonet at only one end (the camera end) and used some strange lens-specific screw mount at the other end. And the possible reason: My Nikon camera body has plenty of space behind the bayonet mount in case the lens needs to extand back a little, but this teleconverter extends FORWARD beyond its front so only a lens with plenty of space "in front of" the bayonet mount (ie, at the lens' camera end) would be able to mate with this. So it looks like they have to specially design lenses just to be compatible with this odd teleconverter, and that would explain why the list is so short.

      Buyer Beware!
This converter not only work only on Sigma Lenses - BUT CERTAIN SIGMA LENSES!

The converter will work in MF mode only, unless noted, on the following APO lenses:
Macro 180mm f3.5 EX IF HSM
      300mm F2.8
      300mm F2.8 EX HSM (AF)
      Tele Macro 300mm F4
      Tele Macro 400 F5.6
      500mm F4.5
      500mm f4.5 EX HSM
      800 F5.6
      800 F5.6 EX HSM
      1000mm F8
      50-500mm F4-6.3 EX RF HSM
      70-200mm F2.8 EX HSM (AF)
      70-210mm F2.8

This has really turned me off from Sigma, as this IMPORTANT information is NOT listed anywhere!

      Great teleconverter.
This 2X teleconverter is a great addition to any fast Sigma lens. I use mine with my Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 HSM. It is sharp, well made, and a relative bargain. I recently used it to shoot at Road Atlanta and was very impressed with the results.

Of course, it is not designed to use with Nikon lenses, only Sigma lenses on Nikon bodies! And that job it does very well.

Not really a review, but a caution
There isn't enough info for this item and it's really my fault that I didn't do enough research on this item, but recommendation information for this lens adapter might suggest that it can be used with the G3. It's absolutely wrong -- the right lens adapter is LA-DC58B. The appended "B" is important! Be sure that if you're buying the G3 or G5 and need the adapter that you get that one instead.

As such, I'm sure this lens adapter works fine on the G1 and G2, but I can't be totally sure of this, having not used it.

Works as expected - wrong color for the G5
I am the proud owner of a Canon Powershot G5, and I bought this Adapter to be able to use my 58mm Circular Polarizing filter. It works well for that purpose.

Now for some facts about the adapter:
      * It is made to enable you to use 58mm filters, Macro-, Tele- or Wide-angle converter on your G3 or G5 (and it is also required for these).
      * It will not work with your G1 or G2.
      * People seem to be getting this wrong all the time: The LA-DC58 is only for the G1, G2, and this adapter (LA-DC58B) is only for the G3 and G5.

      Pros:
      * Quite durable - Hard plastic that has so far taken quite a pounding, and basically not a single chip or scratch.
      * Works fine with any 58mm filter
      * It is lightweight, so it will not weight your camera down. Of course, anything you put on the adapter is likely to be quite heavy.

      Cons:
      * The color - It is silver, something that matches the G3 in color, but since the G5 is black - it really doesn't look that nice on the G5.
      * The shape - It is in the way of the flash on wide-angle view on the G3/G5. You can still use the flash unobstructed when you zoom a bit - probably to around 2x zoom.

Conclusion: It does what it is supposed to do, but Canon really should have taken the time to give you the choice between a G3 colored and a G5 colored. There is also the issue of the converter partly blocking the flash. It is still a necessary piece of equipment if you want to use a Tele or Wide-angle converter, or a 58mm filter on your Canon Powershot G3 or G5. It's a good piece of equipment, but due to its obvious drawbacks, I can only give it 3 stars!!!

      Fast Shipping but Wrong Product
I have never received a product in such a timely manner, however it was too good to be true. They sent me the wrong product. I have a Canon Powershot G2 and I order the LA-DC58 adapter, however the sent me the LA-DC58B adapter which is for the Canon Powershot G3 camera. If they would have sent me the correct item or the correct replacement then I would have definitely purchased from them again. Hopefully, I will get a email back with some good news.

Most useless filter made by Cokin

      fun filter
It's a novelty when used here and there. It is fun for some shots. My 20 month old daughter giggles everytime she sees her picture with the rainbow. (beyond that, yeah, they're useless)

      Cokin P195 Rainbow 1
With this filters you can create a rainbow whenever and wherever you like. You can use this filter in any weather, from a blue sky in the desert to a snowscape. For maximum effect, choose a simple scene with very little detail. Back lighting also yields excellent results.

Helpful hints : The Cokin Rainbows should not be used in combination with other heavily coloured Filters. They are designed for use only with wide-angle lenses. The rainbow effect is subdued at larger apertures, and disappears at apertures above f8. The ideal aperture depends on your lens: 21 mm: f/8 24 mm: f/11 35 mm: f/16

      Poor Picture Quality
The Hatachi 36UX59B picture is poor. The 750 lines of resolution you can count each one of them, it makes the picture blurred. I sent the unit back.

      Poor Picture Quality
We had not one but 2 Hitachi 36UX59B. The picture was distorted, the color was off from channel to channel, the edges of the screen shook. Too many lines visible and overall not worth the money. 2 went back in a week. Even had a cable expert out to check wiring etc, Maybe it was a bad batch. Anyone else have this problem?

      The UltraVision line is fantastic
With 750 lines of vertical resolution this is practically a computer monitor. I own the little brother 32UX59B model to this big mamma. Should you buy a 36 inch model? If you have a big house and deep pockets then you must buy this set. The 177 pounds that this set weighs is light-weight for all you SUV owners.
