Accurate color reproduction, but not very sharp with detail
Firstly let me just say, that I'm slightly confused as to all the different 35mm Fuji 'quicksnap' cameras out there. The 2 that I used were like the one shown here, but a slightly different color. Anyway, on to the review:
The Flash indicator took a while to light up, but we got it going after some persistance. The photos were ok, nothing great though. The results produced fairly natural looking colors, but many of the indoor/nightime shots were slightly blurry and grainy. Many photos appeared under-exposed, like the Flash wasn't bright enough. 3/5 stars.

Excellent Camera!
Recently I bought 2 One Time Use Cameras. The Kodak Max HQ Camera and a Fuji Quicksnap Flash Camera. After finishing both Camera's I had the Kodak Camera/Film Developed at a Kodak Express, then the Fuji Camera/Film developed at a Fuji Lab. The Results were very different to each other. The Fuji Quicksnap Flash is clearly the Superior Film/Camera. While the Kodak Prints came back slightly blurry with not much color, the Fuji Prints were Crystal Clear with exceptional Clarity and Bright Colors. The Fuji Camera was also cheaper than the Kodak HQ!

Fuji Film is taking over
I work in the photo processing world, I am a manager of a high volume photo lab and I must say that Fuji film has taken very large steps to over take Kodak in the film world. From their minilabs, to their digital kiosks, to their one time use 35mm cameras, Fuji film is the way to go. From truer colors, more real film grains, to the obvious less blur, this camera is a wise decision for a one time use camera.

Cute, cute, cute....
When my husband received this as a gift....I promptly stole it from him. It is nice and light and you can keep it in your purse or in the glove box in the car. If your headlights went out you could use it to drive by...just kidding. The light output is very impressive. I like this size since the larger 4 and 5 battery sizes are very heavy. I wish they would dream up something besides the diamond-knurled grip. It gives me the same feeling as chalk scrapping on a chalkboard does!

The best Mag Light
This one is just as bright as the AA Mini MagLite and is considerably thinner and lighter. Extremely durable. I've had one for several years now and it's taken quite a beating in the car and in my toolbox.

Reliable little light
This is the perfect size light to carry with you in your pocket, for whatever you need to do. In my case, I use it to examine patients in my work as a doctor. The beam is strong and it has not failed me yet. Highly recommended- with Mag, you can't go wrong.

The best I could find for my needs at $
I did quite a bit of research before I bought my Sony ICD-B25 recorder and I am quite comfortable with what I got for $. To begin with, the recording time of around 2 hours for the standard mode and 5 hours for long mode is sufficient for what I use it for (recording college lectures), and I have to say that the sound quality is quite good. I don't believe that you are going to find so-called sound perfection with any digital recorder at $1. For me, I find my recordings to be highly interpretable, which is what my goal is when it comes to sound quality from any voice reorder. However, I do suggest sitting the recorder as close to the source as you can to enable optimum sound quality. It's also nice to know that I don't have to fumble around with micro cassette tapes, which aren't exactly cheap. Instead I burn my recordings on to cd from my computer for a fraction of what micro cassettes cost.
Unfortunately, as with many products, there are some down sides. First of all, I sure as hell wouldn't want to drop it because it would probably have a good chance of breaking. And for a $ investment, it would be nice if the recorder came with a carrying case to help protect it. So, the first thing that I did was run down to Best Buy and bought a mp3 case made out of neoprene for $10 that fits great with this compact recorder. Also, it is a bit odd that there is no on/off switch, which does leave the unit on all the time. However, the only power drain problem that I have had is when I use the pause button because it flashes the pause message until you either push play or stop. I suppose that you could take the batteries out if you become worried about excess power drainage. Finally, I could do without the mic jack that comes with it. I feel this would be a great place to to put a D.C. inlet instead. Oh well, I still highly recommend this recorder to anyone that is looking at recording time, quality sound (not bad in long record mode either), and file bins to store different messages in. If I broke mine today, I would not hesitate once to go out and buy another ICD-B25 just like it.

Good Recorder for recording lectures ...
I wanted a recorder which could record 2 hours lectures. I have looked and looked. A good recorder is very expensive. This one fits my budget, and the sound is much more clear than my old Plansonic digital rcorder. I got it from Office Max. I have tried for several lectures. They served the purposes right. The sound quality is clear enough for me to write down notes even though it is not stereo. It is the only recorder that is under 100 bucks that can do a decent recording. This is not the recorder for recording music, though. If you need a recorder to record lectures, go for this one. I am very happy for the quality, easy to use, and the amount of money that I spent. However, there is a design flaw. If you hit the record key while you actually want to hit the pause key that next to it, your original recording is gone. They call it overwrite feature. But, it is stupid to have the record key next to the pause key.

Awsome product for light use!
My recorder gets light use. I use it for making grocery lists, to-do lists or when Im out and want to remember something interesting when I get home -- just basically anything I want to remember. I say its light use because I dont record long meetings or anything like that but it did go off in my pocketbook one time without me knowing(you can program it so that doesnt happen accidentally but I never bothered)and it actually recorded my whole grocery shopping trip with my little daughter and I could hear everything we talked about and all her singing and such very clearly. A previous review said something about not being able to turn off the display drained the batteries BUT Its been 5 months and Ive had to change the batteries once and the current battery reads more than half full. My only complaint would be that the clock is a 24 hour clock. Otherwise - this is a great little tool for those of you who just want help remembering things.

It works
When I received the card, I was able to put it in the PCMCIA slot of my PowerBook G4 (running Mac OS X 10.3.3, the best operating system known to humanity so far), insert a CompactFlash card into it, and began working with the photos immediately. The OS recognized it as containing photos and started up the iPhoto application for me.

The reason I give this item only four stars is because I need to physically remove the adapter card from my computer whenever I want to change to a different CompactFlash card. It would have been nice if SanDisk had either provided an ejection mechanism or maybe just make the CF slot a little shallower so that I could grip the CF card to pull it out.

However, that's a minor inconvenience. It works 100%.

Real plug and play reader
This real plug and play compact flash card reader is a must for every laptop owner. Any laptop has a PCMCIA slot, and every laptop nowadays comes with a modem , LAN , built in, so you use the PCMCIA slot for nothing, but the reader.
I usually keeps it plugged in the laptop, and take a backup for my critical files on it. With a 512 MB card, it really takes a lot, and provides me with peace of mind with an online , reliable and fast backup.
With technology, the storage capacity doubles every 12 months , and the MB/$ drops by half every 9 month. Soon, you will be able to buy a 10 GB compact flash card for the price of 512 MB nowadays. And, still , you will use the same reader !!

Great CardReader. Great Price
This will be a short review. I have not had the product long, but in the time I have had it, this card reads the images so quickly and I think faster than a USB 1.0 port. Amazingly inexpensive too. Excellent buy if you have a laptop.

Samsung140sQD
This camera has many features that others don't.The price is reasonable and the camera is very appealing to the eye.The only thing I don't like about the camera is when the film is advancing it's a bit too loud. Other than that I love this camera.

My take on this camera
May I recommend that the user, who complained about the red-eye effect not working, tha he / she checks the camera setting? If it is not on the regular -A- setting, red eye feature doesn't work. Other settings include sports, landscape and etc.. (One good thing about this camera is its multi-functions and features, which can be bad for people who get confused and frustrated easily - I am one of them)

I can understand the frustration of the buyer who gave one star because of poor reliability. I have experienced similar cases in the past when buying electronics, but not with this camera. It has been money-well-spent and the first battery I put in, it lasted more than two years (I took at least more than 300 shots with the first battery). If you have more money, I recommend Evoca 170 which gives you more range.

Excellent buy!
I can easily say that Samsung Evoca 140S is the best point-and-shoot camera I have ever used.

The pros and cons of this camera in my opinion are as follows:

(+) The camera is very small and extremely lightweight. Samsung has done an excellent job in squeezing loads of features in such a small space.

(+) Variety of shooting modes: I won't list every shooting mode here and take your time (you can check them out in product details), but it has *a lot* of shooting modes for a point-and-shoot camera, including panaromic mode. When taking a panaromic shot, the camera adjusts the viewfinder so that you can actually see the shot in panaromic mode before shooting (didn't see this feature in many cameras).

(+) Flash modes: Evoca140 has a number of flashing modes. To me, the most important 'flash features' were: 1) red-eye reduction, and 2) the ability to take photos at night. Red-eye reduction works perfectly (didn't have a single red-eye in about 30 rolls), and the flash is powerful enough to take good pictures at night. When using a flash is impossible (for example, when taking a photo of a distant object at night), you can use the bulb mode to take beautiful pictures (However, make sure that you have a tripod for this).

(+) Power save: I don't really know if this is a common feature among point-and-shoot cameras, but, I like the 'power save' feature of this camera. It shuts itself down after 30 seconds if there is no user interaction.

(+) The 4x zoom works perfectly: The clarity and color of pictures were perfect in the entire 38-140mm range.

(-) The only drawback in my opinion is the buttons on the top side of the camera (which are used for flash modes / date-time / captioning etc). They are very small and a little hard to push. Forget about adjusting the flash mode when you have your gloves on :) But given the size of the camera, I probably shouldn't complain about the size of the buttons.

To summerize: Given the price of Evoca 140S, it is an excellent buy for a point-and-shoot camera.

Works without problems in Coolpix 950
I bought this chip for my digital camera, a Nikon Coolpix 950. In web mode, you can store about 1000 pictures on it, and in high resolution mode (about 2 MPixels) you can store about 50 pictures. It worked fine out of the box in the camera. The only problem as noted by others here, is that no case is included to hold the card. Considering the plastic case that came with my camera must have cost a fraction of a cent to produce, I think SanDisk should include this in future product offerings. It's very annoying that they didn't include it. Since all of these cards pretty much work the same, I think price should be the main determination of which one to buy.

Amazing
I have a cannon S100, and I have been taking up to 170 photos in medium quality (enough to print a 10x8" high quality picture). You can be a day taking pictures without being worry about memory.

Great Price, Works Well
Bought this card along with my Elph S100. This size card fits plenty of shots at a good price. I have had no problems with it. Yes, it does not come with a case but all I need is one case. Given the size of my camera and the storage space, I actually did not care to have a case.

Mega Disappointment
This item was advertised as shipping within 1-2 days. In fact, 11 days passed before it was shipped. It took a total of 14 days to arrive from the time I placed my order. Amazon's poor customer service was matched by the mediocre quality of this item. It's bright, but poorly made and so heavy it is awkward to use. I advise avoiding Amazon.com and this item.

I Like It
Overall: This is a very good portable light. It practically turns night into day wherever you point it and for a good deal of the peripheral area around your targeted area, if that makes sense.

Pros: Really, really bright. There's no hype there. This thing is like two car headlamps strapped together and placed in your hand.

The sealed lead-acid batteries (there are two, one in the bottom "block" and one in the upper part behind the lamps themselves) are strong, reliable, and long-lasting.

Cons: It's somewhat heavy for one-handed operation, but it comes with an optional strap which you can throw over your shoulder to have to keep from supporting the entire weight with your hand. It may sound awkward as I describe it, but it works very well.

The fit-and-finish is only "average". It's made overseas like so many things these days, and some of the labels, ports/connectors feel less than optimal, but I consider this criticism to be a nit. The things I've mentioned are really only aesthetic and don't affect the light's performance.

And a caution: The lens gets very very hot after use, so you need to store it with that in mind until it cools down after several minutes.

Conclusion: Highly recommended. If you need powerful, portable light, this is it.

BEST LIGHT EVER
This is without a doubt, no question, the best flashlight in the world. This light should not even be considered a flashlight. It looks like a helicopter is shining at whatever you are pointing this thing at. It is that powerful. This will shine up anything you want, for up to one mile away. It is absolutely amazing. You will never be short of light again with this flashlight/helicopter spotlight. Buy it today.

Batteris Not Needed
This light uses LED technology, there are no batteries- last up to 100,000 hours of use!

Someone please respond/review to this request 4 information.
This "reviewer" would like to learn BEFORE ordering this penlight
WHAT kind of battery/batteries it takes. Someone please answer w/
a review to SPECIFY WHAT SIZE AND QUANTITY BATTERY is required to
operate this (apparently very nifty) flashlight. For example, the
battery SIZE is "button" (state which model number); the COUNT to
run the light would be ?? # of cells (for example two AAA's, or 2
button cells, whatever...). The reason I'd like to know (before I
buy) is that I'll be "stuck" with a high-maintenance flashlight @
so much money per set of hard-to-get batteries. It's one thing if
the penlight takes AA or even AAA, but when/if it requires a AAAA
or a set of button cells, then the cost and availability of those
specialty batteries becomes a reason to abandon the thought of an
online order for the flashlight itself. Am a virgo... 'Nuff said?

Love it!
The Coast LL7526 V16 White Pen Light has been one of my favorite new purchases. It does have two batteries that are Li/3V that can apparently be purchased through jewelry stores and even Walmart. The light is LED which is supposed to last 100,000 hours. I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and use this light to clip onto a wooden tongue blade to inspect mouths and throats of little ones. It frees up my second hand to be able to hold the child's head more easily if needed, and because it's so small, its seems to be less threatening to the children. I plan to purchase a couple more, so that I always have one in my pocket!

Not Compatible with Nikon Coolpix 8700?
While purcasing a Nikon Coolpix 8700 thru Amazon, I was lead down the path of picking this device as the compact flash for the camera. I received both and installed the Lexar 1 GB CF into the 8700. 8700 displays "This card cannot be used". I then went to Nikon web site FAQ which clearly does NOT list this card as compatible. What gives? Why the misleading advertisment from Amazon. Sure wish I'd checked with Nikon first. What a bonehead. By the way, the card is recognized by WINXP. I am now the proud owner of a $250 external removable 1gig hard drive. Thank-You Amazon!

Compatible with Nikon 8700
This card works just fine with my Nikon Coolpix 8700--while I can't say what is causing the problems for the April 29 reviewer, I was able to insert the card into my 8700 and start shooting pictures right away.

Perfect performance in several sizes.
I started enjoying Lexar CF 40x media at the 128 Meg level. Even without considering price, it was the fastest CF card available at the time. It worked great. Still does, nearly two years later.

Now, my collection of 40x CF cards also includes one 256 meg, two 512 meg cards, and two 1 gig cards. CF has become a winner in the media wars, and Lexar cards work in all of my CF compatible devices, and work fast and error free. Other cards I have used have been as reliable, but not as fast in devices that can make use of write speed.

One last note. A Nikon user here panned the Lexar 1 gig card because he had problems getting it to work in his camera. Since I have been a Canon fan for the past 30 years, I don't care much for Nikon (boys will be boys), but I did take the time to ask a Nikon loving friend that lives in Atlanta if he had a problem using Lexar cards with his Nikon trash (he also has a Canon museum, but took the Coolpix route when he went digital). His answer was "no, Lexar cards work perfectly in anything I have that uses CF".

As I expected. Standards are standards, and Lexar is at the top of the game. I suspect either operator error, or a Nikon software glitch that caused the problem reported in that post. By the way, as I write this post, I'm listening to music on a four year old HP Jornada pocket PC that was written on the 1 gig Lexar card.

The Lexar 1 gig card is fast, reliable, and works in both old and new CF devices. It's also cheap compared to the first one I bought.

Enjoy!
