Great Compactflash card
It's fast!!!!To do the informal test, I snapped an uncompressed TIF at 1600x1280 using my Nikon Coolpix 950 (a camera that supposedly is *not* optimized for Lexar media). With the SanDisk card, it took approx 45 seconds between snapping the shot and being able to use the camera again (it's loading to the media). With the Lexar card, it was reduced to 25 seconds!!! THAT'S FAST! ...and for an unoptimized camera as well.
I currently use the card either in the camera, my Compaq iPaq PDA, or in a PCMCIA slot via an adapter. I haven't used the JumpShot cable yet as I only have Win95 or WinNT installed. That will changed in a few weeks when I migrate to Win2000, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
As another test, I copied 60MB of mp3s from my laptop to the SanDisk and the same 60MB of data to the Lexar. The Lexar was by far much faster.

Priced too high for the speed
Very smart choiceThe card in my Ipaq holds a lot of files, many MP3s, and MPEG videos. I am able to play back compressed 320x240 videos from it on my Ipaq pretty well. Both cards have been very good to me!
This card is a perfect blend of speed, reliability, power consumption, and price. Strongly considering buying another.

FLASH USB RocksI own a 1GB flash USB gizmo... brand is not important... read on.
The jist is: I can't work without it any more:
I have my own program that copies my files (you can make your own batch file), i run it before I shut down my PC (or NoteBook).
So my files are always with me...
Awesome.
If you do not have a flash card, you should stay in the 19th century.
Just find a good one...
Rugged!!!This device is awesome. It's small and fast...but best of all, it's built like a TANK (ok, a plastic tank). Here's the story:
My JumpDrive went MIA a few weeks ago. Having some pretty critical stuff on it, I decided to turn my house upside-down. After a long search, I asked my wife if she'd seen it. She gave me this funny look and proceeded to explain how she found it in the dryer...AFTER not one 60-min dry cycle, but TWO!!!
So, it went through a normal wash cycle, and two 60-min high-heat dry cycles. I gave it a couple of days to be sure it hadn't collected any other moisture...AND IT WORKS! This was about two weeks ago, and I've used it daily since. OUTSTANDING!
Now, a buddy of mine is currently having a "drive not formatted" problem with his drive (potentially losing his data--but Lexar support is going to try to recover it), so I won't claim it's perfect. I am, however, sufficiently impressed with my device that I'm still giving it 5 stars.

- 32 MB SmartMedia memory card
- Use in digital cameras
- Helps create panorama pictures with Olympus digital cameras that have panorama function
List price: $89.99 (that's NaN% off!)

panorama gets addictive
Might not be worth the price premiumThis is a nice feature, but not a feature most of us use often. If you are going to purchase multiple SmartMedia cards, you might be able to do with just one or two Olympus brand cards - especially since they cost more than other brands. I use two 32Mb other brand cards, and save my two 8Mb Olympus brand cards for when panorama shots present (since you can switch the cards out at anytime - unlike traditional camera film).
Worth the price premium!

Expensive Anywhere You Go
Just by the 64 MB Lyra player!
Came with my RCA LyraPerformance wise though, the card works great. I would like a little more room to hold my MP3s and possibly digital camera images, as the Compact Flash card is compatible with most good models.

As far as speed of the card I find it quite acceptable also. I have seen speed test of other cards and the usb enabled cards are much faster with my camera (nikon 990) if your camera doesn't support usb enabled code. Then I wouldn't bother spending the extra money that it costs. But at the time I bought my card I got it with a rebate and it was just a bit more than the others on the market.
As for the jumpshot cable, it will only work with compact flash cards that are usb enabled. I don't know of any other cards besides Lexar that have this yet.
