Nice product - use with caution
easy to use, with only a few relatively small problemsPros:
--easy and intuitive to use
--should be all the extra memory you'll need in one package
--I got it for only thirty two dollars (big factor for me)
--no major problems encountered so far
cons:
--certain applications or parts of an application won't work correctly or at all if its only on the module and not internal memory (however, It'll still store them)
--the above usually results in fatal errors and will require soft resetting and/or pulling out the module (but NOT permanently, just long enough to restore files back to the handheld) to remedy it
--MAY put a small drain on your battery life
--usually won't work in low battery situations (due to safety reasons to when transferring your data)
This is a good alternative to upgrading and shelling out unnecessary money on a new PDA that may not have enough enhancements/improvements to justify another few hundred bucks. Is memory shortage about your only issue? Then you're set. But before you do buy this memory module, here are some things that you should consider:
If you're buying this and some 8MB PDA as opposed to buying a PDA that has 16+MB of internal memory, u may want to reconsider. Typically the former will be the same price as the latter, if not more.
Certain applications won't be able to run directly off the module. If you have something on both, your Visor will automatically access the one on the PDA's internal memory. Otherwise, it'll try to run it right off the module. Problems arise when the application you're using (or parts of the application, such as database files) requires modifying data, and the module doesn't let you do this directly, as the process of updating stuff on the module is really just deleting the old stuff and replacing it with a newer version of it. This means you'll still need to keep certain stuff on internal memory. You'll also need to figure out which stuff will "blow up" if you don't do this and which won't if you want to store as much as possible on the module (The documentation that it comes with gives you some recommended guidelines, but I've discovered that some of them can be broken without any fatal errors when running the app).
There's also other memory formats available for the Visor, such as flash memory and compact flash. In a nutshell, get the Springboard format if:
--you won't need more than 16MB or memory (or any large amounts of memory)
--don't need the compatibility with other media devices such as MP3 players or digital cameras.
--Just want something that'll work, without any headache from worrying about limitations from the other formats...If your using this to backup info then this is very good at backing up specific items or group of items. If you want to back up your ENTIRE handheld, get an appropriate backup module. It's faster and only requires 1 tap on your screen
Oh, and finally, This Hagiwara Springboard module also has the same type of functionality as the one made by Handspring, so there shouldn't be any reason to shell out more money for the latter when Hagiwara's module is usually offer at a cheaper price
Great Addition to any VisorOwners of 2MB Visors need to be forewarned, however, that individual data files and applications are still limited by that 2MB barrier since they are first installed onto the Visor's internal memory and then moved to the module. Chances are this won't be a problem for you.

beware of all Smartdisk products!!!it was good, had a good price, but now, its TERRIBLE...
i dropped it at waist-height, it wasnt the type of thing you'd expect to do anything to it...but it just stopped playing MP3s....i contacted tech support...and they said that it wasnt covered in the warranty...
it acts as though it has no mp3s on it...displaying the red light... and Smartdisk won't even repair it for a fee or of no charge...
I've had that thing for less than 5 months- it should last a LOT longer than that...
there was also nothing in the warranty about physical damage of any kind...
if you do get this product, also note the terrible way of switching songs, or raising the volume
A bargain but some problemsDownside: its design is too simple. Volume control and reverse/forward are on the same dial. The dial is hard to turn. When you want to skip a song you might just end up turning it up to earsplitting volumes or turning it off. This is something the manufacturer has to fix. Otherwise, a nifty little gadget.
Good valueAs others have said, the single control for play/pause, next/previous track, and volume is a little strange, but okay. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is due to the combined control and lack of FF/REW.
Sure, a display would be great, but I'm sure it would cost more, be bigger, and eat batteries. The ultimate feature is that it can be used as a USB drive as well. No cables, no drivers, no nothing -- it worked like magic for me on 2000 and XP (and it supports other OSes too).
I guess it doesn't support WMA (I haven't tried, but it's not mentioned anywhere), but that's okay too since most music is in the MP3 format and there are also programs to convert WMAs to MP3s. I've tried several different bitrates and it's handled every one of them; it can even play MP3s that my PocketPC won't play.
The construction seems fine. It's plastic, but light. I thought the headphones sounded fine. I'm confident that I made the right choice buying this unit.

A handy gadget that should please most anyoneThese things are incredibly handy for transferring files that are too big to fit on a floppy or send as an e-mail attachment (and too small to warrant burning to a CD-R). Since your computer recognizes them as a hard drive, it's possible to work off the JumpDrive instead of copying the files to the computer's main data drive (you can also use them to store files playable by WinAmp or Windows Media Player).
Is this device for you? Bear in mind that 64 MB isn't what it used to be (15 years ago, standard hard drives had 3 times smaller storage capacity) and fills up faster than you'd think. It doesn't have the speed of USB 2.0 device, nor does it have any built-in encryption/security features--if these things are important for you, this isn't your JumpDrive. I happen to like the quirky transparent purple color, but maybe it's not your cup of tea.
The only complaints I have are that the write protect switch is awkward to move (or tell whether it's open or closed) and that the plastic cap that covers the USB connector doesn't fit snugly (however, I haven't experienced any damage to the connector yet). Given the low cost of this item compared the competition, I can live with these minor inconveniences.
If your need for an easy way to transfer files outweighs your need for blazing speed or encryption -- and you aren't going to need to move more than 50-60MB at a time -- consider this item. If your needs lie elsewhere, don't feel bad passing this item by; whichever JumpDrive (or similar portable USB flash drive) you purchase is sure to become one of your favorite electronic gadgets.
Very cool! This thing is cool. I keep it on my keychain - it's not much larger or heavier than a carkey - and take it everywhere. If I'm at a friends house and he has a cool picture that he's taken, I can instantly get a copy for myself. Or I can save songs, and play them on someone else's computer. If you use more than one computer, this is even better. You can save things you're wroking on to this drive, and then have access to them wherever you go. Or, if you share a computer, this is sweet, to. You don't have to store your documents where anyone can find them - you can keep them on your keychain.
Which leads to the next point. You can password-protect a certain portion of the space on your jumpdrive - you choose how do divide the private and public sections.
So in conclusion, this thing is cool.

A great card, but USB reader is overhypedHowever, the USB card reader that comes with this Lexar card is NOT compatible with other brands of flash cards! It works fine with the Lexar card, but DOES NOT WORK with other brands such as my Sandisk or Canon cards. Keep in mind that if you have a USB 2.0 port, and a USB 2.0 device, your photos will transmit from your camera to your computer MUCH faster. (And most digital cameras are still the older USB 1.1, so a card reader makes a huge difference in transfer time.)
Not as fast as I was expecting; works in S7000It's nice that the Lexar 512MB WA 40X CF card comes with both a USB reader and rescue software (it's on the CF when you get it), this makes it an even better value.
I would buy another if I needed more CF storage.
Great CF Card For Mid-High End CamerasWhen taking burst mode shots (2.5 fps) the save time is easily twice as fast as a standard card. As with anything, what you are taking a picture of and the settings on the camera will affect how much data is being written, and thus how fast it is perceived by the user.
Not all cameras can take full advantage of the speed, so check with Lexar or your camera maker to make sure the camera itself can write data this fast. Even if your camera can't take full advantage of the speed, it is really nice to be able to copy images to your computer so much faster than regular flash using the jump cable.

For the gadget geek in all of usI will be completely honest; this device does not take the greatest pictures in the world! HOWEVER, this camera has been a lifesaver on many occasions. I have met stars unexpectedly and taken pictures with them, stored pictures of my home to compare items in the store, endless job related purposes. It also came with video caption software and you can take 30 seconds of video and transfers it to your device and link up to your computer. Especially living in New York City, you just don't know what you're going to see! You can also transfer pictures from your pc to the handheld to cherish your favorite pictures on your mobile device. My only complaint is you have to have good lighting and you have to be completely still you get a decent photo. As for printing the pictures, the smaller you print the pictures the better the print. I never excess 4 x 6 prints and usually print 3 x 5.
This camera is for someone you love gadgets, loves pictures, and just loves to show off. No matter where I go people (including stars) always seem to be impressed with this device. Most important I'm impressed and I look forwarded for Casio to create one with better resolution. I purchase this about two years ago and I'm still happy with it. The price has dropped from when I obtained mine so that's even more reason to get this. Sometimes you don't have room in your bags or briefcase for a separate camera, and with device your camera is where your handheld pc is!
NOTE: Keep in mind if you need a digital camera then this is not for you the resolution is too low. Strictly for the gadget geeks.
Nifty but poor picture quality
Dazzling1) User friendly, not complicated at all.
2) One of the lightest cameras doesn't add weight to your device.
3) Excellent quality, it is Casio ;)
4) Flexible, it can be rotated in different positions with focus.
5) Price! Because I got 50% OFF ;)
6) It supports Siemens SX45, and I am using it.
Check for compatibility if you are interested you can visit casio for additional information.
Have fun...

Super sucks!First it turned itself off abruptly with NO REASONS. - 1st month
Then strange characters start showing up. - 2nd month
Then nothing showed up on LED and no key works. - 3rd month
I don't think a 128MB MP3 player is supposed only to work for 3 months.
Be cautious of this product.
BIG sound. Tiny, exquisite box.SMALL little box, expensive feel.
Really good battery life.
Expandable. Although I have already put
a lot of songs on it and still have memory
left.
Buttons nice and easy to click.
Minor stuff: Earphones about 2 inches too short for
walking with player in jacket waist pocket,
although not jacket vest pocket
Arm band not made for bigger biceps. Could not
get used to wearing player on my wrist.
Bottom line: Small mp3/wma player, wma recorder from voice or
line-in CD player input. VERY few players will copy
your collection of CD's right from your CD player.
Really good sound quality at 64 bit rate WMA. Go
to 128 if you want to.
This player is superbad!! I ordered another for my
son.
Great solution for mp3/wma listening and recording

Worst Flash Drive to buyThis is more nuisance then ever.
I would never by a flash drive from Memorex ever in my life and I would certainly inform my friends about the same.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at prsiva@hotmail.com
Works for me.It takes some getting used to but I now use it all the time to transfer the data I used to carry on floppies and some CDs.
If you can't get it to work for you, stick to floppies!
among the best jumpsTo the reveiwer below who had trouble with their USB, perhaps you a a newbie. I suggest you check your machine. I have used a dozen different brands (memorex, sandisk, lexar, etc) and never had trouble with a single one or machine pc or mac, usb 1, 1.2 or 2.0 and any drive. perhaps you twisted it while taking it out.
In any case memorex support is great, I had one drive I crushed in a door (my fault and a strong enough impact to also destroy may car alarm gizmo) and they sent me a new one! I have had otehr brands (ironically the lexar "sport"), where the keychain holder broke, memorex is actually more study than most)
Memorex jumps are also true usb 2.0 and there are a few cheap ones that aren't.
The pictures we got back from the tables are fun and unique. Everyone has a variety of shots they got, and captured different situations.
The auto-flash feature is convnenient for those low light conditions and the picture quality is as with everything else Kodak, good.
I would recommend this product for weddings, graduations, parties of any kind. =)
