perfect record so far
Thought I was taking a gamble by looking into compactflash memory with a company i'd never heard of... but on the contrary, this has been exceptionally functional. highly reccomended.

Viking is top notch. Pay the premium...
... if you don't want any hassles. You won't have any problems with the product. You also get an individual plastic case, as most compact flash cards come with. But, as with all non-volatile memory, the question is how many cycles will it take before it dies? I guess I'll write another review in about 40 years to let you know.

Absolutely does the job...
I bought this card for my Kodak DC215 Digital Camera, and I'm about to buy another one for an upcoming trip. I have had no problems with it, and it has provided me with some of the additional memory I need to take more/higher quality images. If you're looking for a solid flash card, this is definitely a viable option.

no other product like it
I use this mainly as a radio for my notebook. It's not billed as such, but the PC software is on the CD also. You get a line-in cable, and if you have a line-in jack and a CF slot or a CF slot adapter like me, then you can play a radio without slowing down your dial-up connection. Also, it doesn't use up desk space, except for a few inches protrusion from the CF card. I lost the software when I closed down my computer without shutting down the cool-looking on screen tuner. A deinstall/reinstall didn't do the trick, so I had to use system restore on Windows XP to get it back.
It works fine on my Toshiba e750 ppc as well. Reception is average, so only count on getting strong stations. The on-screen tuning is the easiest and most accurate radio tuning, though.

just one more goodie for my toshiba e740
here is the skinny. I originally bought my pda because of it's internal wifi capability. when i came across this fine device, i was currious enough to try it out. THe brand name was relatively new to me, and i was a bit skepical to buy it. Once it arrived on my doorstep, it was within 5 minnutes before i had everything out and ready to go. WOW. 18 presets and a strong FM antenna, every channel came in crisp and clear just like listening to my mp3s. For anyone who, like me, have listened to their music over and over again, and wants a cheap alternative this this the device for you. Its small, compact, and has excelent energy conservation, i cant wait to get the Ambicom GPS reciever which i just ordered. Ambicom means Quality and fits any budget.

When mp3's are not enough!!
Let me just say wow! You would think that for $32 you would get a piece of #$&*, but I am surprised. The stations come in so clear and with 18 presets you have a lot of space to save your favorite ones. It works with Pocket PC 2003 and the software is so easy to use. It comes with a pair of stereo earbuds and a line-in cable so you can plug it into your computer. If you are wondering it will not play through your PDA speaker(s), there is a headphone port on the card its self. My Dell Axim is now compleat, and when I get tired of my mp3's I now have a radio to listen to!

Great Prices...Great Deals...Act Now!
Right now this is the cheapest drive available on the market and the equivalent drive offered by Lexar is over $1000!!!! Plus, many merchants are selling the drive for even less than Amazon!!! Take advantage of this opportunity!!!

Great product, but your unlikely to cheat the price
The 4GB Compact Flash Compatible micrdrive is one of the best CF cards on the market, and its priced at a reasonably, and virtually uncheatable. Some of the newer jukeboxes don't use microdrives, so don't expect to find one when you crack open your mp3player and void your warranty!

Nice product, but pricey...
Well, this is certainly a nice product. Much quicker than a 4Gb flash card, very sturdy and works in most CF cameras. But, are you ready to shell out more than $400? I know I am not, so here's a nice shortcut:

Step 1: Browse for the Creative Labs Nomad MuVo 4 GB MP3 Player on Amazon.
Step 2: Buy the player for $200.
Step 3: Unscrew the back of the player.
Step 4: Take out the 4GB Hitachi microdrive and throw away the player.
Step 5: Pop the microdrive in your cam, format it and voila!

There you have it for only $200, instead of the listed $480!

Great Multi-card reader
This is a nice compact 6-in-1 unit that comes in a little pouch. It's not too big, and for traveling you don't need to carry around the USB cable - it has its own short USB connector to plug into a laptop. It plugged into my Windows XP system with no trouble and simply appeared as four removable drives. The speed is excellent, much faster than the USB 1.1 device I had tried earlier. Though it's more expensive than some of the other 6-in-1 memory card readers, I think it's worth it.

Note that an insert in the manual warns of a problem writing MMC cards, and suggests checking the web site for driver updates. I haven't done this yet, as I don't have any MMC cards, so I can't vouch for whether or not there is a fix.

Excellent Reader!
Recently I needed a multi-card reader and wanted to take advantage of USB 2.0. I first purchased another brand 6-in-1 reader but it did not work properly with the XP system on my computer (driver conflict?). I returned it and went and purchased this unit. Not only is it smaller, but it worked instantly! Don't waste time looking at other units. Get this one whether you have USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 (very, very fast).

works great!
The Imation FlashGO! 2.0 is a great 6-in-1 reader/writer. Worked the first time it was plugged in, and everytime thereafter. It's much more compact and lighter that the SanDisk 6-in-1 unit. And definitely much more reliable (I tried 2 of the SanDisk 6-in-1 units -- both could not be detected, hung and crashed my Win2000 SP3).

Although twice the size of its predecessor (FlashGO! USB1.1), it's still small enough to be portable. Comes with a vinyl pouch (case) and would fit most shirt pockets. Ideal for use with laptops and not too bulky to carry around. Definitely much faster than the USB 1.1 version.

    Great Accessory - but...
Ordered from Amazon in December - 2 months later they were out of stock. A month after that, the web site said 'available soon'. It's now mid-May, and they still can't tell when it will ship. So be prepared for a LONG wait!!!

    A Must Have Flash
If you own a DV500, DV800, or DV2000, or a JVC camcorder with the info-shoe mount, you need this flash. The camcorder takes excellent shots with the flash. I don't know how you could live without one.

When you switch to Memory Mode, notice how dark the image gets in the viewfinder. With the flash on, the pictures will be bright and colorful. If not, then the pictures will be dark, just like what you see in the viewfinder.

    Worth the money.

Bring out the digital camera within!
Turn your JVC camcorder/digital camera into the first rate digital camera it is!

I own the JVC GR-DV2000U Camcorder (best I've ever owned). It is a dual camcorder/digital camera. I was disappointed with the Digital Camera functions until I got this flash, now it's the best digital camera I own!

Great memory for the Dell Axim X3
I needed more memory on my Axim and had previously used Kingston memory (for a PC) with no problems. The 512 MB SD card has worked flawlessly for over a month and a half so far.

    Great product!
I've used all kinds of memory cards over the years and this is by far the best company to buy products from. SanDisk is the WORST. I wouldn't buy their products if it were half the price. Anyway I use my memory card in my PDA and have had no problems. With the SanDisk I had all sorts of problems with files being erased or not properly written. Other good memory products are Viking and MicroTech.

    An excellent storage device
I bought it for my Minolta Dimage Z1 digital camera. The camera has high speed auto focusing and it works well with the SD chip. I wasn't sure about it at first, having read a lot about Sandisk's problems. Thought maybe it was just an OEM version of Sandisk. I was going to buy a Lexar or a Panasonic, but thought I give the Kingston a try. Had it for more than a month now with over a hundred pictures, it has performed perfectly. Also, 512MB will last forever. Never a need for more space. . Kingston has tranditionally done well in all their products. Kingston SDRAM memory chips have always been very reliable.

    A Great Little Versatile Camera
I've taken Photos with these Kodak MAX Cameras a few times in 2001-2002. They Deliver Above Average Results at a Fraction of the Price of buying a $$-$$$ Camera. Depending on where you buy them. Early this Year in Australia, Kodak brought out the KODAK MAX HQ Disposable Camera which I think is supposed to be an Upgrade from the Kodak MAX Cameras. However I wasn't Happy with the Results so I switched back to the Yellow Camera which I feel delivers better Results.

I would love for Kodak Australia to release the UK "Kodak Ultra Compact Flash" cameras here, they look like Jazzy little Cameras that actually could be mistaken for a "real" Camera.

P.S. The Kodak Advantix One Time Use Cameras are also Fantastic, so if you get the chance pick up one of these as well. Great for Birthdays and Trips!

    Great for raves, parties, camping
OK, so no one will mistake the photos for professional ones, but these disposable cameras are great! I take one with me when I go to raves, 'cause I don't want to lose my more expensive camera. Photo quality is quite reasonable. The camera is loaded with fast film, so it works in all light conditions with help from the flash. Might as well activate the flash for every picture, since it makes outdoor pictures look better, too. Plus, when you consider you're throwing away the camera, there's no point in trying to save battery power.

    Kodak Max
Not a bad camera. Good for indoor and outdoor use. It can be used on days of less sunlight and the pictures will still turnout, unlike other disposible cameras. The max flash is what makes it helpful on not so bright days. It is a great price. Good looking camera. You probobly won't drop it because of the No-slip grip. Built in flash is easy to use, all around the camera is easy to use. The camera is a good buy!

    Great but proprietary
I've been using this flash unit with Minolta Dimage 7i and I'm absolutly satisfied.

    - This flash is really powerful. The guide number is 185 (feet), it means under the most conditions your can easily shoot for 60 feet in the complete darkness. And it is probably even more important, that it is powerful enough for any kinds of bounce lights.
    - Complete integration with the camera. In most cases you don't need to touch any controls on the flash. It automatically adjusts zoom and power level when you change settings on the camera.
    - Wireless control. You can disconect the flash and install it somewhere or simply hold it in your hand and without any cables it can communicate with the camera. So you can use your integrated camera flash and this external unit to do some nice fill-ins.
    - TTL metering. The flash makes a pre shot to let TTL system figure out what is the best exposure and power level and adjust the camera and the flash before the main shot. Very usefull when you do any bounces or use multiple flashes.
    - Very fast! Because it's so powerful even if you set the flash at 1/8 of it's max power, it's still enough light for most scenes. But in this case the flash is ready for the next shot almost immediatly and you don't have to wait till it gets recharged. So far it could keep up with my camera in all situations.

So the flash is really great. The only problem is this is s Minolta proprietary stantard and you have to make sure your camera can utilize all these features.

    Amazing but proprietary
I own Minolta DiMAGE 7i and I've found this is the most usefull accessory I have. It's amazing how this flash can improve your camera functionality. Really high (>180) guide number, virtually no limit on sync shutter speed (1/12000 sec!), fully supported TTL metering. Plus because it uses wireless channel to communicate with your camera, it very easy to point fill-in light. Just hold the flash in your hand or ask someone for help and no need to worry about cables or settings - TTL and wireless make your job really easy. Actually I can't name anything I don't like.

There is just one issue. It's proprietary, so it's really nice on compatible Minolta cameras and it's really ugly on everything else.

If you have a matching camera..
If your camera is compatable with this unit, it is the best and most easily used. You will get the most benefit. It has a bunch of bells and whistles but most of them can be set up automatically. Off Camera remote with some cameras like my Minolta Dimage 7i. I have the older 280 and 4000AF units to use with my 7000 series and they are still working after 15-20 years. Hope to have the same results with the 5600HS. You camera was an investment, invest in the best flash for it.

      Cute, really cute
Yes! This small thing is a perfect reader of compact flash cards. When I got it I was really amazed by the small size --- just a little bigger than a flash card. This is really good for traveling when space in the backpack is limited. This just adds a new drive to the computer that can read compact flash cards --- forget about aquiring pictures from cameras! I don't need to worry about installing the messy software of different cameras to my computer, as far as all the cameras take pictures with compact flash card.

This little thing is a workhorse
I can't understand why some card readers cost literally 3-4 times the price. I've used this with Windows 98 and with Windows XP. You pretty much just plug it in and it works. I can't believe I used to connect my digital camera to the PC to download photos! This is so much easier (not to mention easier on my expensive camera).

      No complaints!
I bought this little card reader for using a compact flash card that came with my first digital camera. At first, I had been loading directly from the camera into a software program which places the photos in an on-screen album. That process seemed too slow; and I really didn't want everything in an album. The reader is so much faster and easier. You put the card in the reader's slot, plug the USB cord into the computer, and an icon of a disk appears on screen. Click on the icon, and in the window that opens there are several folders. A couple of the folders have items in them that seem to be informational or for functionality, and which I leave untouched, but other folders are created for storing your photos when you use your camera. Click on these folders to display a window full of small images of your photos, (you can click on them to enlarge them). It is easy to remove any of them to the trash if I don't like them, or to move them into other folders on my hard drive, a disk, an album, or wherever I want to store them. Or I can immediately open them with a photo imaging program, (I usually use Photoshop Elements).

When I got this little gadget, it immediately made the process of loading my photos onto the computer much better for me. I've had it for several months, and it's been completely reliable.

        Kiss your floppy disks goodbye!
Used to be that you could depend on the venerable floppy disk to adequately store your files. The advancement of technology has also brought an increase to the file sizes for everything from word processing files to graphics. And although hard drives have increased in size, the floppy drive--long a standard component of the PC--has remained the same. And it's no longer the best way to store your files.

        Enter the USB flash drive.

Like a miniature hard drive, the USB flash drive writes data to a small flash memory module. Like a floppy, the USB flash drive stores data without the need for any power. But unlike a floppy, it is smaller, holds more data and is less prone to data loss. Most drives of this type can store data for 10 years!

If you're using Windows XP or Linux, this flash drive is recognized without any further configuration on your part. Just plug it in and you have 32MB of storage that can easily be shared with others in your workgroup or transported safely to a remote location.

The only caveat, in my opinion, with this model or any model is that the lanyard that allows you to carry the device on a string around your neck or whatever should not be used. The plastic housing that is used to hold the drive is not strong enough to support a lot of wear and tear and you may lose or drop the drive. Better to just carry it.

Other than this, this little unit is God-sent. Just think, in a small form factor, you have the equivalent of 32 floppy disks at your disposal...without the flimsiness of a floppy.

So drop your floppy and get a USB flash drive instead. You'll wish you had sooner!

        Wow!
It even comes with a USB cable to make access easier if you don't have frontside USB ports.

Installation was as easy as plugging it in!

        Connectivity USB Flash Device
This USB device is great it works for me in Win2000 an WinXP with absolutely no problem. It is fast and all the information stored will be there any time that you need it, this device has to replace the old and not functionality Diskettes. There is so many brand like this device, but the price of this one is no to high. It is the best for taking any kind of information to anywhere. I'm so happy to have it.
