Good add on...I was surprised by the price of this item... In comparison to the price of the other Leica accessories this is a nice STYLISH addition to your Minilux Zoom for very little money. I found that regardless of red eye reduction build into the camera I would still get it occasionally. This flash is the best way to eliminate that. Also it uses AA batteries which means that you don't have to search for the special power source every time you run out. 35mm angle of coverage is good enough when I need to shoot indoors and more than enough if I want to be creative and use it for fill in flash. Pretty fast recycle ratio (about 5 sec). And since the unit is very small I find my self to carry it often and my flash photography doesn't have this typical Point and Shoot look. But the quality of marksmanship has a little room for improvement. Unit doesn't feel as good and sturdy as the camera itself.

does the jobAll the new compact flash cards seem about the same to me . This card takes a good picture and the prints are fine. It does not speed up the time between shots as promised and does not take any additional pictures as compared to the other CF cards I have used. Overall these cards are great and can be used again and again. I've used SanDisk, Lexar, and Canon and found no apparent advantages in any of these- they're all good, so buy the most memory for the lowest price.

128 megs, quite enoughThis media card was just the thing I was looking for. I have a Rio One mp3 player with only 32 megs onboard and with this media card I expanded it to 160 megs, that's about 160 minutes of near cd quality music. So, I'm very satisfied with it.

New Media Technology 32 MB CompactFlash Card (NMT00713)
Made by New Media Tech

Fine card, but packaging could be nicer.I've tried this brand and the Lexar Media brand (which purportsto have 4x speed) and have found no appreciable difference inday-to-day usage. This seems like a fine card.
My only complaint about the New Media Tech cards is that the plastic card holder cases are physically much larger than they need to be and the way the card snaps into the case is a bit of a pain. If you carry and swap a couple of cards, this is a minor inconvenience.

wowFantastic flash- very versitile. The various auto and TTL modes are much cleverer than I. Works supurbly with my D100. The only complaint I have is that you may need to sell a car to buy one. Otherwise this product is a 5.

Panorama feature is nice, but may not be worth price premiumSmartMedia is sold under several brands. Olympus branded SmartMedia allows you to take "panorama" shots. Essentially, you take multiple shots while making sure to overlap edges. You then reassemble these multiple shots using the "Camedia" software that came with your Olympus camera. The difference is that when an Olympus brand SmartMedia card is used, your digital camera keeps exposure settings constant across these multiple shots; which makes for a consistent panorama when you reassemble the individual shots via your computer.
This is a nice feature, but not a feature most of us use often. If you are going to purchase multiple SmartMedia cards, you might be able to do with just one or two Olympus brand cards - especially since they cost more than other brands. I use two 32Mb other brand cards, and save my two 8Mb Olympus brand cards for when panorama shots present (since you can switch the cards out at anytime - unlike traditional camera film).

WOW! what a pictureI got this as a gift and I have to say that it is amazing. I didn't even really need to look at the directions, VERY EASY! This camera ia very light, and compact and can fit into also anything, even a small tiny purse! It figures 6 different flash types so you can cut out on "devil eyes" and lack of background in the night shots. Very nice! And if you take pictures like me and have your fingers in front of the lens, there's almost no way to do this with this camera. Another plus in my book!
This camera is great!
I recommend these to anyone heading out with friends.
Not sure if Kodak still manufacture these camera's though.
