So far, not good
I write this with limited information but I am concerned about this product. Have a new Canon S400 with 128 Viking CF card. Tried to download pictures to computer and got an error on pic 12 (of 24). Was able to skip this one and download others - one at a time. This could be a drag if you have many shots. Perhaps there is another explanation and it is not the fault of the CF card but other comsumer comments give me pause.

Do NOT buy Viking CompactFlash "-P" memory cards
Do NOT buy Viking CompactFlash "-P" memory cards! They are more expensive and are the same exact product as their non-P memory cards. See below for an actual transcript of my question to Viking's online support center.

I asked:

What is the difference between the CompactFlash memory products CF128M and CF128M-P? What technical advantage does the CF128M-P card have over the CF128M? Thanks.

Thank you for using Viking online support. There is no difference between the CF128M & the CF128M-P. They are the same flash cards. The difference is how they are marketed/sold.

Do not get ripped off!!! I've asked them this question once before and got the same response from a different customer service representative.

Good ad cheap
Having read some bad reviews about the 256MB Viking I decided to get this one for my Canon S400. It holds 60 frames at the highest resolution. The transfers are pretty fast compared to an older older 64MB CF also by Viking. I have not experienced any problems. I bought it along side my camera and almost got it for free with the memory rebate.

Save your money
Product may be ok Just don't buy from [third party seller] they are thieves. Ordered thi item never received it. These bums sent it by
untraceable shipment. I lost my money, and they got a rebate from
Amazon for the transaction.

works well
needed a quiet solution to my pda alarm and a little extra storage space. This 2MB vibrating module was the answer. works well and is very reliable. set up and file storage are easy and it kept me from being embarassed during meetings when i need the alarms on to remind me of something.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great Value
When I got mine, I puchased two... one for my friend's birthday, and one for me. We have both had very good expirences with them.

The file mover application is very easy to use. It's especially nice, because you can back up your address book, and memo's, to do lists, and all that. You can set the length of the vibration from anywhere to 1 second all the way up to one minute. THe vibrating works nicely. And in both mine, and my friends experiences, it is definately not noisy. Actually, it is one of the least noisy vibrations I've heard. It's quiet enough that I can let it go of in my American Lit. Class, when everyone is reading, and have no one hear it. When it's on a desk, that's a different story, though. It is powerful enough to notice in a coat pocket, or the cargo pocket of your pair of pants.

Overall, I gave this product a five. It did exactly what it is supposed to do. It stores 2 megs worth of applications, and it vibrates. Plus, it does it all without affecting your battery life. For the price, it's definately an addon worth buying.

KISS
New to digital photography, I assumed all CompactFlash cards were the same, and since the Lexar card included a fairly generous rebate offer, I purchased it. Alas, it's not compatible with the Sandisk reader and program that I purchased with my camera. It comes with its own reader and cable, but who wants to keep alternating cables in the USB port? I'm returning it and sticking with Sandisk until all of these competing formats and manufacturers get their act together.

Best Compact Flash on the Market
Quite simply, this is the best compact flash on the market. It's durable and has extremely fast transfer rates compared to other cards I own.

The included Jumpshot reader has blazing speed and makes downloading the images to a computer very simple.

I am a professional photographer and won't use anything ut Lexar. My personal testimonal is that I have never lost any images with a Lexar card. Unfortunately, the same can't be said of the SanDisk, Viking and the worst of all, Mr. Flash (garbage).

Don't cut corners, you get what you pay for with compact flash.

Solid performance with great speed
Lexar Media supplies great film. I have a the 32MB and 64MB and I have had fantastic luck with them. They seem faster than the competition so there is less waiting and more picture taking... The jump shot cable is small and easy to use, with amazing transfer speed! I'm only buying Lexar from now on!

good for point & shoot people
This camera is great for the point and shoot people out there. It will not let you take bad pictures. Some of the photos I have taken with this camera have been surprisingly good, one would have thought that it was taken with an S.L.R.

Excellent camera
This camera has a lot of features and has taken some of the best photographs I have ever seen for a camera of this price. One of the features even allowed me to photograph aurora bourealis in amazing detail with a 30 second open shutter! We've not experienced problems such as flash regeneration. With good batteries the flash regenerates in about 3 seconds sometimes it even seems faster. For panoramic pictures, we have received decent pictures (this camera does not take true panoramic pictures), but we do have to tell the film developer that panoramic pictures are included on the roll we are developing or else they are not treated as such and we get regular sized pictures back with the black lines on top and bottom of pictures.

Mixed bag
The card isn't compatible with my Sandisk card reader, but other than that I'm impressed with it.

Great card for those with D-SLR
I bought a base model Lexar 256MB CF for my Canon Digital Rebel (D-SLR 6.3MP) and I was disappointed in shot-to-shot time and I don't even want to comment on how slow the picture transfer to PC was.

Today I was fed up and traded in for the Sandisk Ultra 256MB and while the shot-to-shot time is up slightly I can't believe how fast the 3MB JPEGs stream to my PC. I'd have to say its at least 3X faster on photo transfers.

I think the latest crop of digital cameras can really benefit from faster storage media and if you've invested a good bit in your digital outfit then you should definitely consider premium memory.

I would have given 5 stars if the price was a little bit lower.

It writes faster
.... The Ultra writes images to the camera faster than the regular version. That's how it is correctly marketed. It does not allow your camera to take images faster or shoot moving images faster - those skills are up to you and your camera. For pros, this card does make a difference because it cuts down on the writing time. For point and shoot photographers, I'd recommend buying the slower, less-expensive version.

Not very impressive
Not a powerful flash.
No significant difference between the on-board flash and this one.

Question
Does this flash work with a Sony DSC S85 camera?

I believe so, but there is almost no information regarding this
on the web.

Definitely would recommend this product!!!
Since purchasing the Sony HVLF1000 Flash for use on my DSCF707 camera I'm continually amazed at its capabilities.

Bounce flash and fill-flash are wonderful. There's still some problems with red-eye, but that's always a problem when the flash is so close to the taking lens.

Only one thing to watch or be careful with is in removing the flash from the camera. It comes off the accessory shoe a little quicker and easier than you'd imagine.

Wonderful product with wonderful results.

There's a MUCH better light out there
No Maglite product can get a "no star" rating - they are very well built. However, if you want the best ultra-compact light, you need to look to the Photon Microlight or the ARC AAA light. They use LED's, and give, for all practical purposes, the same amount of light for many, many hours more than the AAA Maglite.

Wouldn't turn off
I have dealt with Mag lights many times in the past and always found them to be very reliable. This was a disapointment, however, in that it didn't turn off. Once you put the battery in, it was on for good. It seems that you can't screw the head down far enough for it to turn off. Truthfuly, I haven't followed up on this since postage to send it in to be serviced/replaced would probably approach the cost of the product. Otherwise, it is a very fine instrument for your keychain (provided you get one that works)

I love mine
This lil' guy is so impresively bright for running on a lone AAA battery. It always get's me out of a jam when i can't see where I'm going at night, or if in need a quick light to read by. But what really made me love this thing is it's durability. They're not lying when they say this thing is water and shock resistant. This is the only keyring light I've own that has the prestigious honor of surviving one of those accidental trips through the washing machine. Not only did it still work, but the battery was intact too! Needless to say, I was quite impressed.

    Don't buy it
While this modem gives good speed after it connects, it won't connect without multiple attempts. The on-line help is brain-dead. This is a bad product, buy ANYTHING else. I tried multiple ISPs, multiple phone lines, multiple OS's, multiple platforms.....the thing just sucks.

    I See Its Faster
I Based on 4 review of this modem, 2bad and 2god review's i thinking on buy this modem but i'm not convenced to buy.
Is the same thing Modem Blaster V.92 Serial of Creative Labs Modem Blaster Flash 56II External Modem?

    Outstanding modem!
I just received this modem, and it is the fastest external modem I have ever had. It does not support Windows 2000 or WindowsXP (yet, drivers are being written now). I bought it to use with Linux and Linux loves it. This modem is well worth the money!

wrong card for a Kodak 4330
I bought this card but found it was the wrong one for my camera. Now I am trying to figure out how to return it and get a refund. This was my first experience of buying online for something other than books or DVDs and may be my last.

    wrong card sent
I purchased a Kodak DX4330 3mp digital camera and docking station along with this card on Nov. 9, 2002. The card is the wrong card for the camera. can i exchange it for the right card and/or get a refund?

Kodak Digital Camera needs Kodak Picture Cards.
I am using a Kodak DX 4900 digital camera. I found that if you use Kodak compactflash cards instead of others for your camera, the pictures are more beautiful. Other picture cards may be a little lower price, but the pictures are not so sharp, so bright and so beautiful as Kodak's.
The cards are worth for the money.
