    TWO-TIME WINNER
Now I have two of these -- one at work and one at home. Picture transfers in the blink of an eye! Incredibly simple to use and an outstanding value.

    A reader and writer!
I was looking for a card reader and chanced upon this reader + writer. It works flawlessly and I use it a lot (keeps my batteries from draining). The price is also awsome

    Simple & efficient
I am using this ZIO! with Apple Powerbook G4 Titanium. It just plugs in to one of the USB ports, and you are ready to transfre files without any driver installation or rebooting.
Overall, it works great, with no hassles.

    Excellent, small and simple
plugged it in on my computer running XP Professional, and installation was done (just a reboot). Memory Sticks are recognized as a physical removable drive and all I have to do is drag and drop.
Excellent, just what I was looking for.

This is so versatile and compact and easy!!!
I have no idea why this product was discontinued (or at least it isn't carried any longer by many larger electonics stores). It's great! So tiny, and it comes with a little carrying case. The SD card can easily be upgraded to a 256MB (I have one for my camera), and can also be used on some Pocket PCs, so you have one little card to carry around all the info you need. I love that you don't have to carry around a cord to connect this to your computer.

    What a handy gadget!
I was out shopping for one of the new tiny USB flash drives but I ended up buying this one instead. It was on sale at Staples for $17.50, which was less than the cost of the included 32MB SD card. It uses USB 1.1 but will also work (at 1.1 speed) in a USB 2.0 port.

It comes with a carrying case and a short (about 3 inches) USB extension cord, which comes in handy if you need to plug it into a port where there isn't room for the body of the drive. The carrying case also has a mesh external pocket, I assume for spare SD cards since it's too small for anything else. The kit also includes an installation CD but I've never had to use it. I just plugged it into my laptop or desktop USB port (1.1 or 2.0) and the Win XP Pro recognized it immediately by name. I plan to try it on my Mom's Mac (OS 9.x) next.

It is a very handy way to carry around files. It's not as small as the newer drives, but the upgradeability is a nice feature. The SD card will also fit in my PDA, although I don't know yet if it will need to be reformatted for use in the PDA. I'm hoping it doesn't, in which case I might be able to use it to transfer files from my PDA to other computers without needing the HotSync cradle.

The black thumb button on the case slides both ways. If you slide it toward the end with the SD slot it ejects the SD card. If you slide it toward the other end instead, it pushes out the USB jack. When the button is in the middle, both the SD card and the USB jack are inside the case making a very smooth package.
The whole thing is very light, yet feels sturdy. I'm pretty happy with it - I have what I need for the moment, and saved enough money that I can buy another SD card to add memory later if I like.

The only drawbacks are the width of the body (about 3x the width of the USB jack) and the slower 1.1 USB transfer rate. But for the price I paid, I'm very happy with it as it is.

Fantastic deal for a great product!
This is by far the least expensive PC Card SmartMedia adapter that I have ever seen. I bought this card so that I could easily read SmartMedia cards on my Powerbook G4 running Mac OS X 10.2.1. The SmartMedia cards are used with a Fuji FinePix 1400 digital camera.

When I received the card I removed it from the packaging, inserted it into the PC Card slot on my Powerbook, and then inserted the SmartMedia card into the slot on the PC Card. The card mounted quickly on my machine, and displayed with a PC Card icon.

Importing all of the images from the SmartMedia card was quick and flawless. No software drivers to install. Nothing to configure. It just works!

If you need to read SmartMedia cards on a Powerbook, this is in my opinion the best option considering both price and performance. It doesn't get any easier than this!

I can't believe I put my order in one day and received it the next! It took me less then 10 minutes to have my new flashcard reader up and running. They say a reader should read about 40% faster but I think mine reads 100%. Never a problem with [Amazon.com].
