Great buyI tried it out on my Kodak digital camera (DX4330) and it worked fine right from the start. With the card formatted, the camera said I had only about 103 pictures at the highest quality (3.1M pixels). But I think the camera just gives worst case scenario. I ended up taking about 175 test pictures at the high resolution. I downloaded the test pictures onto my computer and examined them carefully - they looked great with no problems whatsoever. Also, the total size of all 175 pictures was around 123MB. Guess I lost about 5MB, but I think that's expected. (With the same camera and a 64MB card, I never get more than 62MB of total pictures captured).
Sent in for my rebate and will update here when I get it. Even without the rebate I think that this was a great buy!

Great Little CameraI am currently in Kuwait. I brought my miniDV Video Camera with me to record my time here, but the dust contamination is so bad here, it is destroying my camera. I started looking for a video camera with no moving parts. Thank God for this Fisher. No moving parts, USB connection, 3.2 Mpixels resolution. Best thing, no rewind. It took forever to get to the front of the tape to see what the video looked like.
There are just a few bad points to this model. The cover to the memory card slot is fragile, so a lot of care needs to be taken to keep from breaking it off when opening the compartment. The view finder/screen is a bit small, so it is hard to see unless you hold the camera closer to your face.
Granted, a miniDV can record more info, but you just can't beat this little guy for versatility.
The Best Camera is the One You Carry AroundNot the best still camera (although quite good in sunlight) -- but the camera fits in my pocket, and I'm taking movies as fast as I can get the lens cap off. With this camera, I have movies and still photos I would never have captured otherwise!
I also purchased a Sony MiniDV and a "Panasonic SVAV100 D-Snap", but returned them. The Panasonic was Macintosh-hostile, the Sony was difficult to use with either Windows or Mac (but had the best picture quality). Fisher picture quality disappointed until I viewed the movies on the computer - WOW! Very nice.
very nicebuy it at sears and return it if you dont like it. for me, it will be recording my whole summer vacation :)

A brief guide to finding and installing more memory (RAM)To find the right memory, make sure that you know what type of memory you can use. Find this out by either checking your computer manual, calling your manufacturer's customer support line, or checking on your manufacturer's web site. You should especially note whether your machine takes 133MHz RAM (PC133). If it doesn't, then you'll need to get RAM with another speed (usually 66MHz for machines made before 1999, or 100MHz from 1999 to 2000). Note that the number for RAM memory speed is different from your CPU speed (though they are both measured in 'MHz')
Once you have found that out, get the memory you need. 256 megabytes will do great! (Note that Microsoft's new operating system, Windows XP, requires at least 64 megabytes of RAM for itself, so you probably shouldn't consider less than 64 if you are shopping around)
Then, once you have the memory, follow the simple instructions on the box. Basically, you'll need to 1) open up your computer and 2) plug the memory into a 'slot'.
Opening up your computer is usually described in your computer manual. Plugging the memory into the slot is usually pretty easy as it's easy to find the right slot (make sure it clicks into place).
Turn your computer on and presto! You'll have a much more responsive experience. To check that it works, right-click on the 'My Computer' icon and select 'Properties'. A dialog box will appear with the amount of RAM listed on the bottom.
Enjoy your upgraded computer!

It worksThe reason I give this item only four stars is because I need to physically remove the adapter card from my computer whenever I want to change to a different CompactFlash card. It would have been nice if SanDisk had either provided an ejection mechanism or maybe just make the CF slot a little shallower so that I could grip the CF card to pull it out.
However, that's a minor inconvenience. It works 100%.
Real plug and play readerI usually keeps it plugged in the laptop, and take a backup for my critical files on it. With a 512 MB card, it really takes a lot, and provides me with peace of mind with an online , reliable and fast backup.
With technology, the storage capacity doubles every 12 months , and the MB/$ drops by half every 9 month. Soon, you will be able to buy a 10 GB compact flash card for the price of 512 MB nowadays. And, still , you will use the same reader !!

Ok, next time I'm buying a faster cardI chose a 256MB card since the Canon takes up about 2MB PER Picture on best quality and size settings ( total about 120 odd-pics). Lower quality( picture compression) or pic size gives me much more images. I can record about 700 odd seconds of video on the card @ 320*240 15fps settings. I definitely recommend this card size as one if you plan to buy a 3MP+ camera. Since the price difference is reducing every day, it makes more sense to opt of a 256Mb instead of a 128MB card. FOr 5MP and above, however, a 512MB+ card may be better suited.
The card is very reliable. I've been using it for 3 months+ and have taken 500+ photos on it. However, the speed at which the card writes the image is a bit too slow for my liking ( or maybe its the camera?). Next time i'm going in for a faster card , maybe from the Sandisk ULTRA II series....
Best value for money of any CF card...Pros:
* Durable and exceptionally reliable - Sandisk does without a doubt have the most reliable CF cards on the market.
* This card is due to its reliability and price, without a doubt the best value for money of any CF card on the market today.
Cons:
* Molasses in winter pretty much describes the speed of this card. Seriously though, tests show that unless you're transferring files to your computer via a USB 2.0 interface, the read/write speed between the camera and the CF card does not nearly exploit the potential of any good card. There might be a 20-30% difference between a fast and a slow card when it comes to in-camera read/writes.
This card is extremely reliable, and looking at reliability+price (you can get really good deals on this card) vs. speed, I'd say this is the best value for money of any CF card on the market today. I give it an unconditional 5 stars!!!
Works great with my Canon S400
