mechanically unsound
Feature wise this model is OK, although it is missing two key features: color viewfinder(useful under bright light) and analog input(dubbing analog tapes). However my unit has been having mechanical problems right after the waranty expired. The camcorder would refuse to load any cassette, more often than not the tape will get jammed inside the camcorder. I had to cut off one recorded tape (thus losing my recordings) to get it out of the machine. Switching different brand of tapes did not help either. I do not recommend this unit at all.

Great Feautures
The camcorder is pretty easy to handle, it's a standard horizontal layout but it's pretty small. You can also save 30 second MPEG-4 clips to the SD cards. The 1.3 Mega Pixel CCD is better than the 1 Mega Pixel on the Sony DCR-TRV25 and the 1 Mega Pixel on the JVC GL-DV820U.The camcorder has an IEEE 1394 Firewire in/out port to transfer your video from your camcorder to your computer digitally. The camcorder also has a composite in/out port and an S-Video out port. The PV-DV702 also has a headphone jack. The PV-DV702 also has a microphone jack. Another neat feature on the PV-DV702 is an audio dubbing mode (only with SP video) which allows you to re-record the audio over pre-recorded video. You can also use the PV-DV702 as webcam using the USB port. Working with Microsoft NetMeeting or similar web cam software, the PV-DV702 can be hooked up to a computer to use it as web cam or a videophone.

Best MiniDV ever!!!
The best MiniDV camera, it has all you need!!!.

The worst Technical support
If you have problems with your flash drive ( like I did) don't count on any technical support. Lines are all automated and wait is always over 20 minutes for live support. Not to mention that it disconects you when it is done telling you this. PNY tech support is a joke.

lousy tech support
PNY drive didn't work properly with either my Dell pc (Windows2000/plug&play) or Fujitsu laptop (Windows98/downloaded driver). PNY's tech support was especially unhelpful ("I don't know what to tell ya...must be your computer"). I then bought a Lexar flash drive, which continues to work perfectly on both pc and laptop.

Usage
This is a great USB flash drive. It works like a chrm and is quite faster than some other flash drives. Also no installation is required except for Windows 98 and 98SE. This is really good for storing just about everything. However this flash drive only lacks in tech support and size. However what I do like is it speed.(12MB/sec. = 720MB/min.)

Great everything - EXCEPT video quality
I had high hopes about this camcorder. It was cute, lightweight, the 1.3Megapixel CCD and everything appeared to be great. But once I shot the video and reviewed it on my TV. ***TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT***. What can be more important than video quality? It just sucks big time. My old Panasonic VHS camcorder has better video quality. Also, the camera picked up extremely high motor noise when ambient sound level was low or silent. NOT a good design. I read several reaviews prior to buying to camcorder and I must agree that WAIT for the next revision. Video is extremely NOT SHARP!!!

Great family camcorder
I teach video productions and I've tried many camcorders. I like the Sharp's ability to rotate the body of the camera with my hand and still be able to get good shots at various angles without putting my wrist in traction. The drawbacks I've found are the lack of an external mic input (which isn't usually a requirement for most family videos) and a small button to control tape playback. This is a problem with us fat thumbed people. I would recommend buying an additional battery since there isn't an external charger available. Other than that, I think the camera has excellent video quality and a nice compact body yet still large enough for larger hands to operate without problem.

Good Camcorder
This is the first camcorder I've owned, though not the first I've used. I'm very happy with my purchase. I think it has excellent video quality, much better than others in a comparable price range. It does have a compact battery (for a reason), and hence a shorter recording time. I have recorded for over an hour straight with one battery. But you can purchase extra batteries if necessary (I bought one on ebay for $20).
It has tons of features and options, more than I will probably use. The manual provided is extremely helpful in guiding you through the many features. I was recording within 10 minutes of opening the box.
I have read negative reviews regarding the on screen menus, the manual, still images; let me just say that I have not had any problems with any of those. I find the menu EASY to navigate. And the manual explains everything. I read it from front to back without ANY confusion. It does not have an index in the back, but it has a table of contents at the beginning if you'd rather just browse. I have not seen a CAMCORDER that has better still images than this one. I have seen better pictures from a digital CAMERA. I suspect some people may not have the patience, or interest, in learning how to utilize all of the features that may yield the best quality images. Or, perhaps they're just used to a different product.
Some of the most commonly used features like playback on TV, downloading to PC, editing, I think are easy to use and just plain fun!
Anyway, I must emphasize that the overall quality of this camcorder is great. Every product is different, we pick and choose. I use mine for recording life's little (and big) events.
If you're still comparing camcorders, be sure to consider this one.

Save your money
Product may be ok Just don't buy from [third party seller] they are thieves. Ordered thi item never received it. These bums sent it by
untraceable shipment. I lost my money, and they got a rebate from
Amazon for the transaction.

works well
needed a quiet solution to my pda alarm and a little extra storage space. This 2MB vibrating module was the answer. works well and is very reliable. set up and file storage are easy and it kept me from being embarassed during meetings when i need the alarms on to remind me of something.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great Value
When I got mine, I puchased two... one for my friend's birthday, and one for me. We have both had very good expirences with them.

The file mover application is very easy to use. It's especially nice, because you can back up your address book, and memo's, to do lists, and all that. You can set the length of the vibration from anywhere to 1 second all the way up to one minute. THe vibrating works nicely. And in both mine, and my friends experiences, it is definately not noisy. Actually, it is one of the least noisy vibrations I've heard. It's quiet enough that I can let it go of in my American Lit. Class, when everyone is reading, and have no one hear it. When it's on a desk, that's a different story, though. It is powerful enough to notice in a coat pocket, or the cargo pocket of your pair of pants.

Overall, I gave this product a five. It did exactly what it is supposed to do. It stores 2 megs worth of applications, and it vibrates. Plus, it does it all without affecting your battery life. For the price, it's definately an addon worth buying.

Mixed bag
The card isn't compatible with my Sandisk card reader, but other than that I'm impressed with it.

Great card for those with D-SLR
I bought a base model Lexar 256MB CF for my Canon Digital Rebel (D-SLR 6.3MP) and I was disappointed in shot-to-shot time and I don't even want to comment on how slow the picture transfer to PC was.

Today I was fed up and traded in for the Sandisk Ultra 256MB and while the shot-to-shot time is up slightly I can't believe how fast the 3MB JPEGs stream to my PC. I'd have to say its at least 3X faster on photo transfers.

I think the latest crop of digital cameras can really benefit from faster storage media and if you've invested a good bit in your digital outfit then you should definitely consider premium memory.

I would have given 5 stars if the price was a little bit lower.

It writes faster
.... The Ultra writes images to the camera faster than the regular version. That's how it is correctly marketed. It does not allow your camera to take images faster or shoot moving images faster - those skills are up to you and your camera. For pros, this card does make a difference because it cuts down on the writing time. For point and shoot photographers, I'd recommend buying the slower, less-expensive version.

Don't waste your money
This flashcard came with my new digital camera. It worked OK twice and then my printer with a flash card reader built in and my computer failed to recognize the card or that it had images on it. Don't buy this junk. I purchased a 128MB card form Viking and have not had any problems at all. A flashcard made by Viking is also much cheaper.

Okay price but there are other options
This card works fine (it is just a flash card), but there are other options out there that are less expensive. Make sure you are well informed before purchasing (I wish I would have been).

Also, make sure that you are purchasing the right memory for your camera or MP3 player. I made the mistake of ordering the wrong type of card for my brother-in-law's birthday. He received a new digital camera but an incompatible card.

Solution? Use the new Amazon Memory Finder or double and triple check the memory specifications. BTW the Memory Finder uses Viking Components products. They seem to have a good reputation and actually a little lower prices than Sandisk, too.

High quality for decent price.
I've had nothing but good luck with SanDisk cards. I've just started into the digital photography realm, but my experience has been very positive so far. Most complaints seem to regard formatting issues, but in many cases this can be easily handled by checking compatibility and the formatting options for the individual camera.

Don't expect to use it with Windows XP
I bought the reader a few weeks ago and used it with Windows 2000 and it worked great. I then upgraded to XP and found that the drivers would not work, I went looking for new drivers and found that the US1A will not support XP and that I have to spend more money to buy the new model reader US20 to be able to read my memory sticks with XP. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed with SONY in this case.

Don't like it
This thing was recommended to be used for transferring files from the camera instead of using the USB cable when I had lost the latter. It turned out to be a bit unstable and have destroyed some precious picture files while transferring to my XP computer. I recommend sticking with the cable direcly connected to the camera instead, and if you loose the cable, try buying it from cables-to-go.

E-Z 2 Use
First, let me say that buying from Asena Shop has been the best by far! I received the item sooner than I expected it. It was in better condition than I expected. The item was easy to set up, and easy to use. Overall, everything from shipment to item beat my expectations. I will, without a doubt, be shopping from this seller again. Thank you so much!

wrong card for a Kodak 4330
I bought this card but found it was the wrong one for my camera. Now I am trying to figure out how to return it and get a refund. This was my first experience of buying online for something other than books or DVDs and may be my last.

wrong card sent
I purchased a Kodak DX4330 3mp digital camera and docking station along with this card on Nov. 9, 2002. The card is the wrong card for the camera. can i exchange it for the right card and/or get a refund?

Kodak Digital Camera needs Kodak Picture Cards.
I am using a Kodak DX 4900 digital camera. I found that if you use Kodak compactflash cards instead of others for your camera, the pictures are more beautiful. Other picture cards may be a little lower price, but the pictures are not so sharp, so bright and so beautiful as Kodak's.
The cards are worth for the money.

Card received was not the card I ordered
My order specifies 1 Olympus 16MB SmartMedia card.

I got 1 16MB Smart Media card to use in an Olympus camera. There is a difference!

The Olympus card has a panorama funtion. The other brands do not.

I was not sent what I ordered.

Why Pay Twice as much for basicaly the same thing.
I also have an Olympus D340R Camera, and I have an Olympus 16mbcard and a Scandisk 16mb card. The panoramic feature isn't worth paying [the extra money]. Instead of buying one Olympus 16mb card, buy two Scandisk 16mb cards.

Nice little Card

I bought an Olympus D360L digital camera.

Overall I was very happy with these cards. They have held up to the usage I've put them though, so far. It is nice to know that they have a 5 year guarnatee should anything happen.

I would certainly buy the floppy or USB reader for transfering data.

Good Idea, not everything works
My company purchased this flopy disc interface so that we could let any of the graphic artists pop the card into the machines without moving the USB reader we have around.. unfortunatly the card won't work on a dual processor system, so none of our graphic artists can use it. I think for the price we paid for it, it should be able to work on any system!

Needed item for most computers, but costly
My computer doesn't have a port for a Memory Stick, so using any one of Sony's products that use them is impossible without using this adapter. Sony's digital cameras and digital voice recorders (why I have one) all use this media format, so forgetting to buy one can prevent your enjoyment of your own equipment.

To use the adapter, you just slide the Stick into the adapter, and then the adapter goes into your regular 3.5" disk drive, looking just like a regular disk. There is some software included to assist in the applications you will use with it, inluding the voice recognition program I originally hoped to use, but is sold separately.

I don't really know why the item is as much as it is, but it is necessary for most folks. I guess one way of looking at it is that it offers the same functionality as a Compact Flash card reader, just more expensive.

Works fine and just as expected
The floppy disk adapter perfectly suits people like myself who still have old computers without USB. One first installs the software from the included CD and then formats the memory stick. Be warned that you had better print or save any images you already might have on the memory stick before formatting as all data is lost in formatting.
Once you've formatted you can take pictures and immediately upload and print them if desired by inserting the memeory stick to the floppy and inserting the floppy into your FD drive.
