No optical mouse functionality
The Amazon review says "Reads and writes Memory Stick media to a USB port with Optical Mouse functionality". This is not true. I ordered this item and it arrived at my location on the other side of the planet today. It isn't a mouse. I wanted a mouse with a memory stick reader as part of it. I wasted my money and it will take too much money effort to send it back. Now I know that I should have ordered the MSAC-US70. I rated the product as three stars not because of the product itself but for the incorrect information provided by Amazon. The product is still in the package as I write.

AVERAGE!
I put this ram in my labtop, I already had 64 mb but wanted more. Since my labtop has two sockets, each socket could hold up to 128 mb, I purchase one to see the difference. Not really much difference. I think it would be wise to go all out and get the 256 mb or two X's 128 mb of ram in order to see a difference. Having one to upgrade 64 mb just isn't enough. Maybe it's the quality of Viking that's not performing right. I won't know unless I purchase a different brand. Maybe I'll get a Kingston or a simple tech. or crucial.com or a.....bottom line AVERAGE!!!

    Thanks for the Memories
It's small. It's reasonably priced. It does what it's supposed to do: It remembers.
Cards such as this one go into devices that have slow processors. Have realistic expectations.

The Second Best Card I have Owned
This card works great. It is fast and works great with my digtal camera. I have had not problems with the card. It can read data as fast as my camera can write the the SD card. It also works great in my HP 2215 iPAQ. The only card that I have seen that works better is the SANDisk 512 MB card that I have purchased. Enjoy.

    Great Memory Card
I don't know what other people's having problem with.
I've used this Sandisk SD 256mb since last spring
and have taken about 4000 pictures without ANY problem.
I had no problem with this memory card at all.
It is one great memory card.

    XP - doesn't work
I tried and tried. Despite the lable on the packaging, it is not XP compatible and, after you buy it, XP tells you so - the fujifilm packaging says it is XP compatible, but the fujifilm website (which is devoid of any updates) says:

    Operating Systems: Windows 98/98SE

Waste of money and, worse, waste of time.

Don't use if you have Windows XP
This reader worked correctly for a while - then the menu failed to come up when a card is placed in the reader. After uninstalling, and trying to re-install, I am getting warnings that it is not compatable with windows XP, and though I tried to ignore the warnings, the drivers are not available. I have not been able to find the drivers anywhere on the fugi support site. A waste of money.

Fujifilm USB xD Picture Card Reader
Not work in System OS 10.3, works good with oldest version......!!!!!!!

NO any new program to resolve this

Not A Bad Product, But Has Some Flaws
I received this memory/wifi card as a wedding gift last year so that I could use it with my Compaq iPAQ 3765. It installed properly on the iPAQ as well as my Toshiba laptop. I have never had a problem connecting to my Linksys WRT54G 802.11g/b router. The installation process itself was pretty straightforward and simple.

Now, I did have a problem installing it onto my new HP iPAQ 2215, which I purchased a week ago. The PocketPC 2002 driver included with the card will not work with Windows Mobile 2003 for PocketPC. SanDisk does have the 2003 drivers on their website, but as someone mentioned, there is no user guide to aid you with the new driver. After trying several times to install the card, I had to perform a hard reset and installed the card before installing anything else and setting up my activesync partnership.

The other thing I do not like about this card as someone mentioned, is that with Windows Mobile 2003, you cannot turn off the wi-fi part of the card and just access the flash memory. This will drain more battery power from my iPAQ than I would like. Hopefully, SanDisk will resolve this issue.

Other than that, this wi-fi card has been working great for me. I actually just used it in New York City and was able to locate several access points at Chelsea Piers on the West Side and access the internet. Overall, a good product in my opinion with a couple of flaws.

Good card. Just needs more utils.
I've had this card for a couple of weeks now. I did a lot of review reading before I got it and thought I'd add my 2 cents now. The card installed fine on my iPAQ 2215. Just make sure you go to the Sandisk website and get the right drivers 1st. Don't use the ones on the CD. The only thing I would like to see is some more advanced network tools. Otherwise, no complaints!

    awsome
this thing is great i have a ipaq 3600 and it works wonders and i have no problems at all i love it i had a linksys WCF12 but it never worked right so i bought this and it was less and way better the built in 128mb is great why would you buy the others when this is the same price and you get 128mb space

Using with Kyocera S3X not working
When I used this card in my Kyocera S3X Fincam, this card was not working successfully. All the photographies were stored, but couldn't displayed on the camera screen. Using a card reader it worked, so I could store the photographies on a CD Rom. The seller tried this card on a S3X Finecam out of his store with the same result described above.
Maybe the card is ok, but seems to be not compatible to the camera

    Works with Minolta Dimage F100
I bought 2 of these, and both worked well every time I used them. I filled the cards with 4 megapixel photographs from a Minolta Dimage F100, and transferred the pictures to my computer using a Kodak card reader, all with no problem. Reformatting is done through the camera, and the cards reformatted quickly and perfectly.

    Works great with Panasonic LC-20
I've not encountered problems with this card, and am often copying JPGs back and forth from my DC (Panasonic Lumix LC-20) to my computer.

This card can hold 159 1600x1200 pics without compression from my 2.1MP digital camera. It can hold over 1,000 pictures if you lower the resolution to 640x480 and use compression, but realistically, why would you want to lower the resolution of your pictures?

It truly is amazing how small and light this memory card is.

    missrepresented product
I purchased what I thought was a Kodak product when I purchased with my new Kodak DC3400 digital camera, a Kodak Compact Flash Card Reader for Digital Cameras, what I recieved was a Datafab Compact Flash Card Reader for Digital Cameras. This product would work with my windows 98 but every time I booted up the PC I wouuld get "The blue screen from hell" to quote another reviewers description of a similar product. I have since done more reasearch on the compact flash card reader products and sent back my Datafab unit and ordered another comparable unit that had at least better reviews. Buyer beware...

My experience installing reader on a laptop
First, I have nearly 40 years experience in computer hardware and software, so I'm not a neophyte. Yet I had an incredibly bad time installing this product. After installation under Windows SE, I constantly got the "blue screen of death," a fatal error that caused crashes during boot. Success (of a sort) came when technical support from Datafab told me to power the device from the mouse port, not the keyboard port as the instructions say. There is no mention in the directions about using the mouse port. (My laptop doesn't have a keyboard port.) The hookup is an unbelievable kludge: wires everywhere. Now that it works, the "blue screen of death" still appears during every boot, but it can be bypassed by pressing any key. Datafab admits this is caused by a conflict between their reader driver software and some other (unknown) program during boot.

Turns out there is a far better and simpler solution for a laptop: use a Picture Card Adapter that slides into a PCMCIA slot on the side of the laptop. Simply slip the CompactFlash card into the Adapter and the Adapter into the slot. ...

    Very useful and inexpensive.
I bought the Datafab reader for my new Nikon Coolpix 950 (I highly recommend if you are an SLR photographer). The reader has worked flawlessly for two months now. It does cause one of my HP printers to feed an extra page now and then, though, which doesn't irritate me the way it seems to irritate some. It fits into my camera bag so I can hook up to anyone's computer for a download. Speed seems instantaneous, never more than a few seconds. I run Windows 98SE and a variety of photo software programs. Even if you're a beginning photographer or novice computer user, this unit is a no-brainer, it registers on your computer as another drive, installation is easy and quick. The only flaw is the software for handling images, useable but you'll want to get photo imaging software anyway to manipulate and print images. I think it's a a solid unit and the price is great.

    Does not work with XP
This worked ok with Win 2000 but when I switched over to XP it would not work at all... it might as well get tossed in the trash.

    Does not work with OSX
I bought this a couple of years ago and it worked well. Then I upgraded to OSX. There is no excuse not to make drivers available for those using the latest operating systems - Mac OSX, Windows XP. Obviously this company does not care if it's hardware becomes obsolete within a year of its purchase.

    Works perfectly for SmartMedia Cards
The reader works greatly for smartmedia cards, only make sure to insert the card correctly. I haven't tried with other kind of cards, but the only drawback is that it could have a better eject mechanism for smartmedia cards. It has a green light that blinks when the card is been read, but it's on the top of the unit, so it isn't much visible. BTW, it is pretty fast and the installation was very easy on Win98 and WinMe. Haven't tried on WinXP or Win2000.

    BAD PRODUCT
I bought a SanDisk card thinking that the quality brand name would guarantee quality product. Instead after only 7 months of use within my MP3 Player from DIGISETTE, the memory is corrupted!! It's not recognized by the MP3 player nor a PC USB MMC reader.
You expect it to work for a long time when you buy from a brand leader, not only 7 months.

    Great Card
Ok, this thing is great. It works wonderfully with my Nike mp3 player. For those that complain about the price and the capacity, just look at the size of the thing. The only other media even close to it is Sony's memory gate chips, and those cost a heck of a lot more per mb then these do. And you who complain about the capacity maximum of only 64mb should note that Smart media is tops at 128, only compact flash is currently above that. Also, give the technology some time, traditional ram prices haven't always been so low, for those of you that can't remember back that far, just trust me (even though I am only 19 :) Also, if you have so many problems with it, then don't use it, there are three other memory technologies currently being used, and more coming. So if you want the price to rapidly fall and for disks to get monstrously huge, then start buying more of it. The R&D money for research is what your paying for don't forget.

    Bought it and forgot it!
Last July we purchased a Kodak DX3700 digital camera. I ordered the SanDisk 64 MB multimedia card, put it in the camera, and basically never thought about it again, because it works flawlessly. I have over 500 digital photos on my computer which I have taken since I bought the camera and this multimedia card and have never had any problems.
