    TWO-TIME WINNER
Now I have two of these -- one at work and one at home. Picture transfers in the blink of an eye! Incredibly simple to use and an outstanding value.

    A reader and writer!
I was looking for a card reader and chanced upon this reader + writer. It works flawlessly and I use it a lot (keeps my batteries from draining). The price is also awsome

    Excellent card!
I wanted to buy the same brand card that came with my Nikon coolpix 2100 and I'm not disappointed. It works even better and faster with the camera and a 128 mb is a must.

    Works great so far...
I got it sooner than I was supposed to with the free shipping and it works really well with my canon s230 digital elph. I also use this card with a card reader, the same brand. I picked this card because it was 12x. I know there are cheaper 128 cards, but my canon shoots 3 minute video clips if the card is fast enough to write the data, and this one is!

    Tested....
...and found to have *exactly* the same write time as the Sony. My experience with these same write tests on CompacFlash & SmartMedia cards, which show rather marked differences from brand to brand but little variance among cards from the same manufacturer, indeed suggests that Lexar is the original manufacturer for Sony. Think of the Lexar then as an off-label or generic equivalent to the Sony, made on the same assembly line but offered at a lower price.

    This will work
This works just like the Sony Memory Stick. 32mb is probably the smallest size anyone should go for these days. The transfer speed is better than compact flash. Bottom line, this works and since Lexar is in the memory market for some times now, you can trust this brand.

The Free Jumpshoot Cable makes it easy!
I have the 48meg Lexar card and just love it. The best thing is the Jumpshoot cable which hooks to any computer with a USB port (hot-swappable). Instead of hooking your camera up to your computer, you can simply take the card out of your camera and insert it in the Jumpshot Cable's slot. Then, the CF card shows up on you computer as if it were a hard drive. You simply copy them to you own hard drive. In the meantime your camera can be in use or simply saving power. (Note: The Jumpshot Cable does come with some software so it will work on your computer-PC or Mac.)

(Note: the jumpshoot cable only works with USB enabled CF cards. I like the feature so much, I simply don't use my older cards that aren't usb enabled)

In addition, Lexar is know among pro photographers as one of the better quality manufacturer's. Great Quality and a Great Product.

    Works great
I have a Lexar CompactFlash with the JumpShot cable and it works fantastic. Not once has it caused me any problems. Truly Plug-n-Play. I have an 8x card - and transfers are quite fast.

One of the other reviewers mentioned that the JumpShot cable would not work with any other card. This is not entirely true. The cable will work only with USB Enabled CompactFlash cards. Not all cards are USB enabled. Watch for "USB Enabled" and you'll be OK. In my humble opinion, the JumpShot cable is fast, easy to use, and takes up little space.

"The" CompactFlash to get for your digicam
The more megapixels you have, the higher the resolution pictures you take, the longer it takes to store your images to your memory card. That's a good rule to keep in mind when you are buying CompactFlash (CF) cards.

When I was shopping for CF I noticed the claims by Lexar with their x4, x8, and x10 speed CF. I researched a bit on digital photography forums and found that people either stood by the Lexar brand or said "don't believe the Lexar hype".

After I did a bit more research and found a couple websites that objectively completed a side-by-side comparison of all brands, speeds, and sizes of CF, the choice was clear - Lexar is faster. It might not be a true x4, x8, x10, but there is a clear speed improvement across the board over all other CF brands.

If you only use your digicam to take a picture here and there, feel free to buy any other brand of CF. If you need or want the flexibility to take multiple high-resolution snapshots rapidly (like lot's of candid family shots or when you're at a sporting event) then you'll find that's where Lexar's speedy CF shines.

      Best CF card around
The review I read stated that you can only use the USB cable with the Lexar card. Well of course you can only use it with the Lexar card! It was never designed to be a general purpose card reader! I had one of the first 8X 80 meg cards that Lexar put up for sale. After about a year I got another 32 meg 8X card from Lexar. It was at that point that I discovered that my 80 meg card was really pretty slow. I wrote Lexar about my little problem. Lexar gave me a brand new 80 meg 8X USB enabled card for free! That is what I call great service. I now have four seperate Lexar cards. The only problem I have ever had was quickly resolved by Lexar. If one wants a general purpose card reader, they only cost about $40. In my opinion, Lexar cards are the best in the business.

      Simple & efficient
I am using this ZIO! with Apple Powerbook G4 Titanium. It just plugs in to one of the USB ports, and you are ready to transfre files without any driver installation or rebooting.
Overall, it works great, with no hassles.

      Excellent, small and simple
plugged it in on my computer running XP Professional, and installation was done (just a reboot). Memory Sticks are recognized as a physical removable drive and all I have to do is drag and drop.
Excellent, just what I was looking for.

New Media Technology 64mb card used in Nikon Coolpix 950
This card works very well in the Coolpix. Fully functional, providing about 130 pictures in Normal 1600x1200 pixel mode. The card costs about $100 less than the equivalent Nikon memory card.

      Works Great!
I purchased this card for use with my Kodak DC290. It works great. It cost considerably less than the 64MB card from Kodak.

Want to know how much a smart media card can hold?
Here is general guidline of about how many pictures a smart media card can hold. This list was made up using a 2.1 mega pixel camera at 1600x1200 resolution. (The Fuji Finepix 2300). So if you have a higher mega pixel camera the amount of pictures it can hold will decrease and you will be able to hold a few more pictures with a lower mega pixel model. But these numbers will give you a basic idea so you will know what capacity of smart media card is for you. (1600x1200 resolution) Example: Listed is the card capacity with the amount of photos it can hold in the camera's Fine (best mode), Normal, and Basic photo modes. (Fine,Normal,Basic)

      8 MB (9,19,39) 16 MB (19,39,75) 32 MB (40,82,155) 64 MB (82,170,330) 128 MB (168,350,700)

*Most camera's normal mode takes pictures of good enough quality for most photos you will take, unless the camera is under 1.3 mega pixels.

*Many cameras come with a 8MB memory card. But that usually isn't enough memory for most people, here is what I would suggest purchasing:

      My suggestions:

      1-1.9 mega pixel camera - 8MB or 16 MB

      2-2.9 mega pixel camera - 32 MB

3 mega pixels and up - 64 MB

      Fantastic ease of downloading images!
Having recently purchased the Olympus D340R digital camera which included this chip, I am pleased to say I was and still continue to be very much impressed with the ease of obtaing my images from the camera without the hassle of cables and long waits for the download to complete...combined with the Smart Disk Flash Path Floppy Drive adapter, obtaining images from the camera is as easy as dragging them from A:\ to C:\...the quality and capacity of this chip is remarkable for the price.

      PNY 256
The PNY 256 is a very reliable card and you cant beat the price. I wouuld recomend this memory card to anyone that don't want to spend a lot for a SD memory card that don'twant to spend a lot.

      Solid SD Card
My experience with PNYs have been great. They are actually rebranded Toshiba cards, so the quality is very good. I would definitely recommend PNY over Sandisk, which are known for quality control issues.
