The perfect stick of SODIMM for a wonderful price. I bought two of these and now my laptop is screaming fast with 1 GB of RAM. If you haven't purchased a RAM upgrade for your Toshiba, what are you waiting for? This is a night and day difference!

This RAM is wonderful! I would recommend it highly for your Toshiba notebook.

Used to be that you could depend on the venerable floppy disk to adequately store your files. The advancement of technology has also brought an increase to the file sizes for everything from word processing files to graphics. And although hard drives have increased in size, the floppy drive--long a standard component of the PC--has remained the same. And it's no longer the best way to store your files.

Enter the USB flash drive.

Like a miniature hard drive, the USB flash drive writes data to a small flash memory module. Like a floppy, the USB flash drive stores data without the need for any power. But unlike a floppy, it is smaller, holds more data and is less prone to data loss. Most drives of this type can store data for 10 years!

If you're using Windows XP or Linux, this flash drive is recognized without any further configuration on your part. Just plug it in and you have 32MB of storage that can easily be shared with others in your workgroup or transported safely to a remote location.

The only caveat, in my opinion, with this model or any model is that the lanyard that allows you to carry the device on a string around your neck or whatever should not be used. The plastic housing that is used to hold the drive is not strong enough to support a lot of wear and tear and you may lose or drop the drive. Better to just carry it.

Other than this, this little unit is God-send. Just think, in a small form factor, you have the equivalent of 32 floppy disks at your disposal...without the flimsiness of a floppy.

So drop your floppy and get a USB flash drive instead. You'll wish you had sooner!

I've wanted one of these little drives for a long time. Now that I have one, I can't imagine how I lived without it.

The package is one of those vacuum-sealed impossible-to-open packages that so many electronics products are using these days. Be careful opening it! There's a little CD in there that I didn't know about, and I almost scratched it with the knife I used to open the container.

Inside the container, you'll find the USB drive, a lanyard, a USB extension cable, a fold-out manual in several languages, and a miniCD.

I haven't measured it, but the extension cable is perhaps three feet long. It's plenty long enough to reach from the back of a tower on the floor to your desktop, if you're missing a front USB jack. I can't imagine wanting to wear the lanyard, but it's serviceable. The manual is enough to get the job done, including instructions for Win98*, Windows XP/2000, and even Linux instructions.

The form factor for this device is wonderful. It's about three inches long, shaped somewhat like a giant pill. There is a loop on the lid for attaching to the lanyard or a keychain. I wouldn't recommend putting it on a keychain, though, since I would hate to lose the main part of the device if the lid came detatched. The small size of the device and the rounded corners make it perfect of a pocket, however. The lid fits snugly, with the slightest of a 'snap' into place. The body of the device has three little 'grip' dots for your thumb to help get a good hold while taking the lid off. The mechanics of the connector are very sound. The connector is partially held by the plastic, and nothing feels loose or disconnected.

Usage is very easy. On Windows XP/2000 or Linux (assuming a standard install), no drivers are necessary. Windows 98 drivers are on the mini-CD. I've yet to use it on Linux, but I may later just for fun. Just plug the device into a computer, and it will be detected and intalled as a new drive letter. After that, it works like any other drive.

I've tested it on two machines. One is a USB 1.1 machine, and the other is USB 2.0. It works equally well on both. The device doesn't seem to care at all whether you use the extension cable, a hub, or plug directly into one of the computer's USB jacks. I've only been transferring relatively small files, but the device seems to be very fast. There is a red LED under the translucent case that blinks to let you know when USB communication has been established, and blinks faster to indicate that data is being transfered.

In addition to the Win98 drivers, the miniCD has utilities for setting up secure areas of the flash that cannot be accessed without a password. I haven't had need for this yet, but it's nice to know it's there.

All in all, it's a great value. 32 MB is a respectable size - much more than floppies, and faster access, but too small to want to burn CDs for. Even rewritable CDs don't last long, and are hard to transport. And if you need more storage, larger sizes are available! This USB drive is a dream.

I've never heard of Viking before but decided to try it. Setting up on my ancient Toshiba 2130 (it's a 486dx75) was so fast and effortless. It didn't come with instructions, but none were needed - i just slid the card in and Windows did the rest.

The 64MB CF card can hold about 65 pics in normal mode (I use a Nikon CoolPix 800) so that should be more than enough for a weekend trip. Using the laptop adapter should provide for limitless photos.

I'll look for Viking products from now on. And to think they just sat in coffee shops singing about Spam.

The search for aproppiate memory devices can prove frustratingly complicated on compatibility aspects, not to mention price, however Viking Components has answered my prayers time and again. This flash card, like other products from Viking Co i ve purchased, has performed excellently on a digital camera and laptop computer, (with the aid of the adapter). This combo is far easier to use than than the uncomfortable plugging and unplugging of slow USB cables, since it becomes, in essence, another drive in your laptop. Overall this has expanded my phototaking possibilities and made my life much easier transferring them.

RAM is always the best way to improve the performance of your PC. All SDRAMs for this system are pretty much all the same. The Price of RAM often fluctuates so wait for the price to go down before you buy it.

Note: I bought mines at [edit $](128 SDRAM); use my price to determine if it's wise to purchase the memory at the price it is currently in.

There's not much to say about the product, but so far everything is well. Technical Support was very friendly and helpful. I purchased this memory for a Compaq Presario 4665, I used this memory along with one of my existing cards since I have two memory slots. I have not had a lick of trouble what so ever. And, for the price I plan on getting another in the near future. Hope this helpful.

What can I say about this product? It was a simple install and they perform flawlessly. If you need this product, I would recommend it to anyone.

the price is the same but this one with ECC support...so why don't you guys buy this one instead...with lots of personal investment and other financial applications running on the computer systems, data integrity is crucial....but remember some systems require you have all the memory modules ECC-capable

installation is quite easy and enjoy the high speed.....

I have an Emonster 600. The Amazon memory finder feature helped me locate this upgrade. Indeed the upgrade was compatible with my machine and quickly snapped into place. My machine immediately recognized the additional 256 memory. Softwares do load faster.

One note of caution: it comes WITHOUT instructions. You will need your emachine handbook to explain how to take the desktop cover off and how to insert the memory.

My computer only had 64 MB of memory, and it was too slow until I got the Viking ET3264P 256MB PC100 DIMM it improved so much. My computer opens up files very fast. I'm gald I got this upgrade.

My laptop was a slow 64MB machine that used to take ages to boot even with a few programs in my startup. On installing the 128 MB RAM module from Viking, my laptop has boots up so fast I am amazed. I am able to run many more programs simulataneously and installing the RAM chip was so easy. Defiitely a good buy !!

I bought the additional 128 Mb Ram for my laptop. The price is simply amazing ! I have never in the past so many years seen the price of RAM drop to as low as it is right now. I ordered the 128 Mb Additional RAM for my Gateway Solo 5300 (all models). However I also think that it works great for the Gateway Solo 3350 (all models).

It's very easy to install, does NOT come with the instructions. Instructions to install it will be foudn in the Gateway manuals. This is worth the money cos it speeds up your computer a lot !

It's generally known that increasing the memory in your PC is the easiest and most effective way to increase it's performance. With that in mind, I decided to purchase this Viking product to install in an old Packard Bell I planned to use in the family room. The performance increase was dramatic, to say the least. Installing these memory modules was a simple task which took no more than ten minutes to complete. I'm so impressed with the performance increase that I've ordered a second 'kit' (2 modules, as they have to be installed in pairs) for another old Packard Bell to be used in my son's room. It should be noted that these modules will fit a wider range of Packard Bell models than listed. Any model requiring 72 pin EDO DRAM SIMM modules, according to the owner's manual, should be able to use this 'kit'. An equivilent pair of 32MB EDO SIMM modules goes for around [$$$] + tax at the local Staples store, as compaired to less than [$$$]with shipping included when ordered through this site. Great performance, great price, and a snap to install....that's 'non-computer geek' Utopia.

If you have a Parkard Bell computer and it is slow then I recomend geting more memory. It help out my computer alot.

Althought I haven't purchased memory from Amazon, I love Peripheral Enhancements memory. Its great quality and I have never had a problem. When I needed installation help, I got a friendly person immediately on the phone who was able to help. I'll definitely buy this memory again.

At these low prices, I doubled the 128MB memory that came with my Dell and saw immediate performance improvements. What could be bad?
