awful camera
I bought this camera for the price and the features but... the quality in pictures taken were very poor included the phtos taken at maximun quality. the camera needs too much light in web cam mode. in this case Creative pc-cam 880 is awful. the controls are complicated and the cursor wheel doesn't works fine. i prefer the simplicity and easy to use controls in my hp photosmart. bye and if you buy this is under your risk

not as clear Pictures as my pc-cam600
Well i just got the pc-cam880 and it should be better then the 600 but that's not so the picture's i took with this cam is just not as good and clear as the pc-cam600 so i'm thinking about returning this pc-cam880.

AWESOME CAMERA
I jus bought ths cam frm AMAZON , at first before ordering it i did some reseach on PC cameras and stuff since it was my first camers i needed it to be atleast worth for my money , i red all the reviews abt ths camera on amazon majority of reviews were against ths product , but i crossed my fingers and ordered ths camera , wen it got to me i first i red the full manual of opeation den i installed it , WHEN I SAW THE RESULT IT WAS SIMPLY MIND BLOWING FOR ME it can take upto 17 pictures in 3.0 Mega Pixel and the clarity and sharpness is amazing even in the 800 by 600 resoultion, after seeing the result i was quite shoked at first cuz the previews i red abt it were all against ths producrt , flash works really well in bad light and if used as a webcam its worth for its price , but the pictures taken it as a DIGI CAM simpy stand out , zoom is also very good the only thing i didnt lik abt ths camera is tht its functions are a but cramped up lik if u press sum button others can be pressed at the same time result in LOL anything ,
BUT ALL IN ALL A GREAT CAMERA FOR THE FIRST TIME USERS . U can mail ur querys at devil4k@yahoo.com

Save Your Money
Bonus Pack arrived today: Adapter O.K., Lens Cloth worthnothing ,Extra Memory next to useless, Bag is ... and camera barely fits in. No room for extra memory or cloth much less adapter. Buy a larger, stronger bag, adapter and save money. Piece of lintless cotton cloth will do for lens cleaner.

I was disappointed with such a small digital camera bag...
My biggest complaint is that my camera hardly fit into the bag. The adapter works great and the memory card is a good extra to have. For the price I don't think I got my money's worth.

Great add-on for Kodak DC3200
This is a great add-on for the DC3200 camera, which doesn't come with an AC adapter and only has 2Mb of internal memory. The AC adapter by itself sells... on amazon, so this set is a pretty good deal pricewise.

If you're getting a DC3200, spring for this set (especially if you don't plan on buying a large memory card right away) -- you'll be able to take 3x as many pictures by filling up both the card and the internal memory, and the AC adapter will save you money on batteries (or time/electricity on recharging them) since digital cameras tend to be such battery hogs.

Wrong Battery
You offer this battery as an optional purchase for the Panasonic e-wear digital video camera but it is not compatible with that camera. I will be returning it.

Worked as advertised
I bought this battery as a backup for my Minolta Dimage X. It works as well as the original. These batteries charge quickly... but also don't last very long (at least not in my camera). I find that I can take about 200 pictures with the LCD viewer on before battery life degradates to an annoying level.

More Juice!
They need to wake up the engineers and amp this up. I can go thru a fully charged battery taking 40 pix at 'fine'resoution. I try to keep the flash turned OFF (it produces a blue result anyway.) and when traveling, resist movies. It is very hard to resist movies when charming children and festive occasions are going on. If traveling for 10 days overseas and with no power adapter (I don't trust them.) take 4 to 5 batteries.3 was not enough for Thailand.

I will say that no one I was traveling with every guessed I was taking movies! Guess that goes in the camera review.

Good Photo's, Horrible Design
One of the first things I noticed when I bought this camera was the battery cover. Every time I would put batteries in they would fall out. I sent it back to Sipix and they told me it was defective. I exchanged it for a new one, the same exact kind, and it had the same exact problem. It's also very large and heavy. On the other hand, it takes excellent pictures. Hard to believe it's just 2.1 Mega Pixal. If you want a good bargain on a digital camera and don't mind taping the battery cover shut, this would be a good choice.

Great performance considering price
I have had canon and sony, and yes they are way better... but you also pay 5 times more! You can find this camera at such low prices as this one here in amazon and I can assure you that the camera works just fine if you are not an artist or a professional photographer... if you are... then go with a name brand, if you want it for your family pictures, your online business or just for fun stop looking, this has everything you need: Menory expansion, Built-in Flash, 2.1 MP (very nice), 1.8" preview screen, TV-OUT, USB, what else are you looking for?? this is it. The real choice. Don't go daydreaming with sth you can't really afford...

excellent cost/benefit
This full-featured 2.1MP digital camera provides excellent quality pictures at a very affordable price. Features include TV output, thumbnail view, adjustable white balance, exposure and sharpness controls; items usually don't available in most similar-price cameras. It's as easy to use as the most simple point-and-shoot 35mm cameras. The camera comes with an 8Mb Commpact Flash card, however it's a good idea to buy a larger one (in my opinion, a 64Mb card is usually more than enough...).

Canon PSC-40 Leather Soft Case for A3000
The camera fits well , but this is not a lether case at all. Not happy after all.

psc-40 leather case for a100 & 200
The case that gets sent is not the case shown on web site. The case sent is for the elph size camera. If you can put 10 lbs of crement in a 5 lb bag, than you it will work for you, but I can't do it. This was a waste of time and money.

Canon PSC-40 Leather Soft Case, Nice but misleading!
The product itself fits my needs. PROS- The bag is well made, stitching is consistent and even, the sides are straight and the flap opening has a velco closure to carry extra items and still close. It has a separate compartment for 2 batteries, or a battery and memory card. The opening flap also has a hole to thread the camera's lanyard through so you can strap it around your wrist/hand. It has a loop on the back to place on your belt. The only other thing is the small metalic name plate on the front of the bag.
CONS- nothing really about the bag itself, but I do have one complaint about the actual description which is misleading! The bag is NOT LEATHER! The piping around the bag might be, but the bag itself is NOT LEATHER, it is made out of some blue synthetic vinyl material.
OVERALL-I would buy this product again, even if it ISN'T LEATHER as stated. It's well made/designed. it will protect the camera from small bumps and scrapes, and has extra space for batteries or a memory card.

TIP- Use the hole to thread the camera's lanyard through, when you take pictures, take the camera out, then close the bag up, loop the lanyard's other end around your THUMB,not your wrist. The lanyard will be longer and the bag will hang farther away from you, and the camera is still safely secured to you, just in case you drop it.

Poor low-light performance, limited picture sizes
Lousy camera, period. It installed okay on a Win2000 and
a WinXP machine, but unless you have very bright light on the camera, the image is way too dark. If you enable the "low light" feature, or turn up the brightness control, the image brightens up, but the framerate drops to about 10-12 frames per second. If you want decent live-capture video at 30 fps, forget it.

Once in a while, it mysteriously "disappears" as an available video capture device on a WinXP machine, and I have to reboot to get it back.

Can only capture 160x120, 320x240, or 640x480 sizes. You really need 352x288 for videoconferencing.

Compare this to a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 and you'll see there is no comparison. The Logitech is better in every conceivable way.

not bad at all
I bought this as a replacement for a Logitech WebCam that is definitely long in the tooth ... no comparison. Much crisper images, higher resolution, faster frame rate thanks to USB2 (there's also a firewire version); better in every respect. Install under XP was quite easy, but I did have to reinstall the drivers (as flagged by XP's device manager). Incidentally, the manual supplied on CD is the same as the paper one that comes in the box. View software is a tad flaky (pop-ups blank out parts of preview - preview doesn't refresh; capture blanks out preview entirely). I checked out the ADS web-site to see if there was a more recent version of the supplied software and found on-line support for the WebCam to be either well-hidden or non-existent. As a WebCam, this one is probably worth 5 stars, but I dropped the rating to 4 because of the evident support shortcomings on the part of the manufacturer. On the plus side, the button on the camera neatly triggers a capture routine that pops-up a window with a still ready to be saved to file ... very cool (maybe that raises the rating to 4.5). I also captured a sample (.avi) movie and played it back under Media Player at full screen - the result was impressive, almost astounding given the typical limitations of a WebCam. I think this is an excellent buy for the money ... it's a keeper for me.

Are you looking for a good webcam or a good manual?
Most tech products now don't include a large well-written manual. Its a waste of ink and shipping weight. For the other reviewers - did you look on the CD? Theres a full manual on there! And the quick-install guide says to stick it in before installing the camera so you should have seen it!

Anyway, this is my 5th webcam and its the best so far. 99% of webcams for sale are not good. "Up to 30 frames/second" typically means you will get about "1 frame/second". Seriously. They are all bad (with the exception of a few end-of-life products namely such as IBM Webcam pro and 3com Homeconnect). This webcam provides 15 frames/second at 640x480 and I've tested that. Most webcams wont even do 640x480 and even fewer will ever hit 15 frames/second on any resolution!

As far as brightness goes, the video off this webcam is not very bright. But this sacrifice is acceptable since gamma correction usually reduces image quality so just turn on the lights when you use it. Its that simple.

It has a neat tripod that is very configurable and the webcam itself is pretty attractive. If you don't mind having a webcam which is not much better than emailing a blurry picture of yourself then this webcam is not for you. But if you like VIDEO and don't want to buy a professional $300 system, then this webcam beats the competition by a landslide. (and theres not much competition in the arena of good webcams - I've tried and read enough reviews to know!).

worst service (or lack thereof) possible
I did not buy this particular model camera, but I did buy a similar model not sold by here, but I want to do all I can to get the word out to NEVER BUY A PRODUCT FROM D-LINK! The camera I bought came with the wrong cable, so I couldn't connect the camera to my computer. It was a USB cable, and although one end fit into my computer, the other end would not fit into the camera (it was like trying to put a round peg in a square hole). When you call D-link, the only representatives I could talk to were from the sales department. I would call technica; support and would hold for 15 minutes. Then their phone system would transfer me to a voice mail and tell me to leave a message. I left several, and no-one ever returned my call. When I considered simply returning the product, I tried to contact the RMA department. However, I was put on hold there as well, and subsequently transfered to the voice mail again. I finally called the sales department, and they were extremely rude to me, and at one point hung up on me when I ask them not to transfer me to the technical support because I knew no one would answer. Finally, I tried calling their alleged "complaints department", but I got the voice-mail box of a manager who never called me back from a previous message I left! Our capitalist system should drive this company out of business, because it's post-sales service of products is HORRIBLE!

For causal Mac users, this is the way to go
If you're like me, and have a Mac ( Not OSX ), You'll search high and low for a decent cam that you dun have to spend [alot] for ( the apple site's no help either )... well this one's it. It's easy to set up, you just have to install some extentions. Now... the plus side... it's easy to use, and works with most Photoshops and Photodeluxe, not to mention Graphics Converter and quicktime. The bad side... the picture quality isn't the best and the zoom isn't good at all ( it has none ). You need ALOT of light for the pictures to come out right. For casual use, it's great, but anything else... spend the money. Unfortunatly, this cam doesn't work with Yahoo for some reason and I couldn't get a straight answer from their Help site ( suprise suprise ). It does work with I-vist and CuSeeMe ( the older version ). It also works on a PC and with Virtual PC pretty well. You just have to re-install the drivers and make sure to add the cam in in preff's.

Happy with my First Online purchase!!
Well being a virgin to online buying i just clicked and off I was to the checkout. After all that I went back and saw the review section and I was worried with the bad reviews. After a week or so I got the cam(did I say I am in Germany and with the U.S. Army). I went home and pluged it in and it didn't work but hold on. the instructions say to start Windows then plug it in(don't do it). Plug it in first then start the computer and it will work fine. I have Windows ME and a slow computer but it works just great.I am using it to take some pics and video for a website to let the family keep tabs on us. Hope this helps and remember 40 Bucks is a great price for this webcam.

    There are better designs available...
This was our first digital camera and we were excited to unpack it on Christmas morning, but never warmed up to this one. It has a nice feel and theoretically, a nice design, but many of the features didn't match the documentation and didn't work the way they were supposed to, until three months later, the entire system just died. Fortunately, we purchased the camera from Dillards.com, and their excellent customer service allowed us to return the camera for a full refund, but we won't replace it with another JVC. The camera has some nutty little quirks, such as a warning not to turn the camera on with the lens cap on the lens, or you'll risk serious damage to the lens mechanism. Sounds like a definite design flaw, doesn't it? JVC makes great audio equipment, but buy your camera from a manufacturer known for cameras! Good luck!

    Only Lasted one year
I purchased this camera exactly one year ago last week and the LCD screen went out. I called the local JVC repair and was told that it would be around 400.00 to repair(way not worth it). The pictures were decent while it lasted but I did not like the design and it was difficult to use.

    Great Camera!
I bought this camera while I was on a ship supporting "Operation Enduring Freedom", I wouldn't have anything else ever! I have never been disappointed with it ever. it can only use up to 64 Meg memory and using the lowest resolution it gives you 690 pictures to take. it comes with a 8 meg card so you can take 84 pictures.

    What a rag
This case looks good , but that's it the 4300 will not fit as it should. the fit is so tight the camara must be squesed in the case ,then try to take it out , it's like trying to take off a too tight boot, by the time you get it out the shot is gone.
and also moves your settings , turns on or off your camara,
toss in an extra battery and your stuck . The zipper will not close. But don't worry the seams start to unravel and split.
What a waste of money . Nikon stands for quality , but not here.

    Love this case!
I don't know what the people are talking about with their cases being a too tight fit. I think the case fits like a glove. Snugly enough so the camera doesn't jiggle around, but not tight. I fit my camera so that the lens goes in first, and the strap is at the opening. When I need my camera I just tug at the strap while I pull the case down. It fits nicely. There's a small zipper pocket at the front for an extra card and battery. I too don't know what the small black loop is for. The case looks good and the construction is good.

    Perfect case for Nikon 4300
The Nikon 4300, extra battery with terminal cover and CF memory in its protective case all fit perfectly in this case. There's a sewn on belt loop, so no snap to accidently open. It also has a 1" loop with a snap of which I don't know the purpose. For a small light camera such as this, I do not see the need for a shoulder strap. The price is very reasonable.

    Horrible
I have had this camera for three years and have never had a picture worth printing. The pictures are always blurring, they are ruined by lighting from the outside. The photos are terrible!! Don't buy this camera. I am online now to find a new camera. This one was a waste of my money!!!

    Hate It
We have had this camera for a year and have yet to get it to work...even after calling tech support. Finally, after reading the reviews on this site I see that the problem is probably that we're running Windows XP.

Even if we could work around the software problem, the camera will not turn on any more...even after changing out the batteries.

    Complete waste of money!

    Greatness
I've figured out the problem with the camera not turning back on. I had the same problem, took it apart, and it didn't take long to realize what was going on. The battery connectors were VERY dirty and corroded with something. Clean them with a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and you're good to go. NOTE: You don't have to take it apart to do this, but I did to discover it.
