Pretty box, but what is in it?
What is in a 'digital camera accessory kit'?The picture of the green box doesn't enlarge enough for me to be able to hazard a guess beyond bag, maybe a memory disk, and maybe a battery charger.
So I can't tell what this pig in a poke is; and I can't tell if the kit includes things I might need that aren't included with the camera itself, or things that I might want like a USB cable; and I can't comparison-shop between the mystery kit and an a la carte selection.
Maybe I've missed the right button to click, but it sure seems like there ought to be a way- without making a trip to an Office Depot, for instance- to know what is in this accessory kit.

garbage
it's terrible!First of all, the color is terrible! I tried to adjust it but still it doesn't work!
The image is blur also!
And, it caused my desktop to reboot several times!
I just can't bear all this anymore!
By the way, it says it works for Windows 2000 and my system is Windows 2000!
Try something else and forget about this one!

Not worth the money
Poor picture quality, hard to focussunlight. Poor color taking indoor pictures.
The manual notes these and other flaws, and specifically documents that thiese "are not a fault".
Very hard to focus.
Expensive for what it is.
I returned mine. Money is better spent on more memory.

Impressive exterior, but extremely limitedAlas, the pictures are terrible. First off, the camera is only useful in bright light (forget any kind of indoor shot unless you can stand a very dark, red-tinged image -- which rules out webcam use); and no shot that we tried quite came in focus. Moreover, the software to transfer is awkward; the USB does not support mass storage (where the camera appears as another disk drive), instead you use the supplied program to manually download.
As much as I and my nine-year-old son wanted to like this camera, it has serious flaws and it's not worth even its rock-bottom price.

- Record a 30-second video loop of action, then play it back
- 2.1-megapixel sensor for still photo enlargements up to 8 x 10 inches
- 8x magnification, 32mm objective lenses, BaK4 prisms
- 16 MB of internal memory; compatible with CompactFlash memory cards

Good Idea with lots of LimitationsThe binoculars are decent but not worth $500. In fact they are more inline with $100-200 binocular lenses. What you are paying for is the camera features. The binocs hold fairly steady and are actually easy to view with one eye once you get the hang of not being able to bend the body.
Now for the disappointment. The camera is only able to focus accurately using the LCD monitor. This is almost totally useless in the sun and even in good light is grainy. You can take pics without it but you risk them being out focus. While you can adjust both eyepieces (the left requires a screwdriver) this only adjusts for your vision, not the focus of the camera. The shots that you take with the camera are more inline with a one pixel camera than a two and almost always slightly blurred. For all its hype, its really no better than a $49 pencam with the exception that instead of being locked into a 35-50mm distance, you are locked into a 300mm or so distance.
This unit also shoots low-res video but once again it underperforms. There is a tripod mounnt which may help with getting clearer pics but that can be said for any camera.
The manual is minimal but it does cover the basics so it suffices. I have not loaded the software yet so I cannot comment on it.
Overall I would say you would be better served by a compact zoom binocular and a small 10x digital camera like the Minolta z2 if your primary reason to buy this is for vacation. The combination will weigh about as much as this unit and take up just slightly more space in a camerabag. I see this as a gimmick device to be used only in places where cameras or camcorders are typically not allowed (museums) or practical to use for extended periods (sporting events) or where the need to take a picture is more of a spontaneous event then a planned one (someone streaking across the infield in the middle of a game). With that said I will be looking to unload this pair soon so keep your eyes pealed for me on EBAY!

Problem connecting to PCWindows XP Home Edition. Both have the latest Windows updates. I also tried installing the supplied drivers. But, still no
success.
I called tech support. I was forced to leave a message. The voice mail said it would take 48-72 hours for a response.
The only reason I gave 2 stars rather than 1 is because I like the design and feel while viewing.
Take it from me that whatever it is you can do without it !
Carry case ? Extra memory ? Batteries? Charger? Mains adapter ?
These are all available form other sources and probably at a better price.Have a look around your local store and take your pick.
Sorry Fuji but you have shot yourselves in the foot with this product.
BTW How come we in the UK pay a good 50% more for any digital camera?
