My Logitech Quick Cam Traveler
I love my Logitech Quick Cam Traveler! Not sorry I bought it.
It's small enough to stick in my pocket on outings and it isn't bad on batteries. I take pictures with it in all kinds of lighting and the software allows editing if jpegs are too light or too dark. I had some that were really fuzzy and could save them with the sharpening feature in the editor. The software alone is worth buying Logitech. I just pop the camera back on my computer and it automatically downloads all my picts into a photo gallery. The software also has a feature I love that allows me to immediately email my choice of jpegs to friends and relatives without having to pull up outlook express and then backtrack to find attachments, etc. The long cord makes it handy to use the web cam feature for live broadcasting. It's also great for chat and net meeting. It's convenient and easy to use. A small clip comes with it so you can hook it on your monitor or you can use it freely with a little tripod stand that is well designed so that it's flexible for various positions. The built in microphone is also a plus. I also like the modes that allows you to do more with it and 3 way focus for distance, macro, or close ups. It will also monitor your computer when you are gone so that if anyone comes near it in the room the sensors pick up any activity and collects pictures of the culprit in action! Really a good deal for the price at Amazon! The mfg sells it for [price] but Amazon offers it for a little over half the amount. Considering you don't need to buy film and spend more on developing it's worth it to invest in batteries for times when you travel with it and they don't need to be expensive ones. I highly recommend it for experienced or new users.

Sturdy and solid case. Only negative is round shape and relative bulk, but that's what makes it sturdy.

      Best Buy for your money!
I bought this item a week ago and can certainly recommend it to anyone who's interested in beginning of digital-photograpics!

This camera has 8 MB-built-in-memory but is expandable with sd-cards. On the back is a 1-1/2" color LCD viewscreen and 4xDigital Zoom (at least you can use up to 3x without getting any pixel). The camera can take 320 x 240 * Movie Mode with sound in AVI so with the 8MB you get 1-minute movies, with an 256mb-sd-card you can take over 30 min moviest with sound!

It also works as a webcam and can show your photos on TV!

I don't think you'll get any better camera for your money!!!

Minolta CS-W30 Leather Case for Dimage G400 & G600 Digital Camera

A must have accessory for any G400 / G600 owner
I've looked around photo and electronic stores and couldn't quite find anything that fit my G400 decently. This case however is made of quality leather and is reinforced to protect your camera. The inside has soft lining to protect the LCD display and it closes with a little velcro patch on the flap. The integrated belt clip seems to be a leather covered metal clip which looks pretty sturdy. The only downside is the lack of pockets for extra memory or battery.

        Buy this for CHEAP!
Attention Minolta S414 owners! the "older" RC-3 Remote sold as good for the S304 is about half the cost of the new one and works just the same. It leads me to belive that PN 8782-100 is the same thing as 8782-107 - the new RC-3. I just got the old model for a lot cheaper, and it works great on my Minolta S414!

        Minox DC-3311
I found this camera enjoyable to use. Digital options include sounds, language for menus, time and date, auto off feature, self timer, lcd on/off, lcd contrast, auto review, resolution, quality iso, white light adjustment, print, delete one photo, delete all, protect photo, video out, and you can even do cropping from the camera. Modes are Viewing mode, Off, Capture mode, High speed mode, and Burst mode. It has features that other digital cameras have forgotten. Like a regular viewfinder, a lens cap, and ISO settings. The camera is well built, has a nice texture to the body, and excellent electronics. You will be pleased with the photos that you produce. The software that accompanies the camera is pretty good, and much better than others I have used. I recommend getting some high quality rechargeable batteries. The camera uses 4 AA. The CF port is one the bottom and the camera can support up to a 320mb card. I have a 256 and at a high resolution it will produce close to 500 shots. The camera has a macro feature for close up shots, a voice memo feature of up to 15 second per frame, and red eye reduction flash. In the box you will find a hand strap, lens cap strap, USB cable, 4 batteries (regular), lens cap, camera, protective case, camera-to-tv cable, quick user guide, and manual in 4 or 5 languages. The camera has 8mb of internal memory, but I highly recommend getting a Type I CF cartridge as well. The most important feature is the Minox name. You know your getting superior optics and design with careful attention to detail.

          very compact and good quality
It is barely larger than a credit card and about 1.5 inch thick. It is a metal case but it is very light weight. Picture quality is good and the shutter response time is reasonable in normal light condition. The product description here is incorrect about the movie mode. It can record movie with audio. The quality is good but it is in QuickTime format. That means you cannot play it with Microsoft media player. It is a little inconvenient. But the quicktime file (.mov) is a lot smaller than the microsoft video clip format (.avi). A file of 30 second clip with medium quality is only about 9M. The software comes with the camera is not very useful. The file transfer using this software is slow. I usually pull out the SD card and copy the file to the computer using a card reader.
