different than the picture
Just a warning... the case is different than the one pictured and the shipping cost is as much as the case. The case I recieved did not have a shoulder strap but rather it has a loop on it that you could thread onto your belt. I do like the case, it seems to protect the camera well. My Canon A70 Camera fits great into the case. I just wish I had the shoulder strap.

Chubby padded case
The case is meant for PowerShot A40/A20/A10. (I bought this hoping it would work with my Powershot S330. However, it's a little bigger than I'd like it to be. It's so large I can fit the USB connector in the base.) The zipper flap over both the large and small pockets is a little irritating. The metallic gray synthetic material with black trim gives it a slick look. The light padding appears adequate for "throwing" in your bag. Details are as follows:

Deluxe Soft Compact Case PSC20 for
PowerShot A40, A20 and A10 cameras.

Canon USA, Inc / Item no. 7137A001(AA)
- Synthetic material (not leather)
- Belt loop
- velcro flap
- Large padded zippered pocket for Powershot Camers.
- Small zippered pocket for extra batteries and memory card
- Includes shoulder strap.
- Approximate Dimensions: 3" x 4.75" x 1.75"* (*2.5" including smaller pocket)
- Color: Metallic gray, black trim, black shoulder strap

Fast Shipping
THe shipping was really fast-so fast I didn't have time to cancel the order after I realized the shipping cost more than the case. I should have read the reviews before ordering. Don't know if the case works or not as the camera hasn't been sent yet.

THUMBS DOWN
I do not reccomend this tape. Unreliable. I purchase this and had a lot of trouble with the sound. At first I thought it was my camera. I went out and bought Sony mini DV tapes and they work fine. With that, I reccomend purchasing another brand.

Fine. No problems.
I'm not exactly an expert on film quality, but I had no problems with this Digital Videocassette. It recorded just fine in my Panasonic camera. Just pay attention to how many you are ordering. I thought for some reason I was ordering a three-pack. But there was only one. My mistake.

Hey with a brand like fuji its got to be good
Get tape good quality at a good price. Buy this blank tape.

A little slow...
I bought this camera as my second one. I had previously a Polaroid PDC640, image was really crappy with that one.
I was very happy with this camera, UNTIL I bought a 128MB smartmedia card. Camera turned very slow. It tooks me nearly 27 seconds to get the camera ready to take a shot, and flash fully charged. Indeed, as someone commented out here, this is NOT an action sports camera. But you get what you pay for.
Overall, I'm happy with it, despite the fact that is slow.

Good camera for the price
You can probably find this camera at a very low price. The picture quality is quite good, and once you get used to it, its fairly easy to use and gives good results.
Be aware that, when using flash, this camera uses up AA batteries very quickly. I'd estimate you can get 20+ flash pictures before you'll need to replace the batteries. You'll get better battery life when taking pictures in sunlight, without flash.
The camera does support a DC power supply, but finding a DC power supply that matches the specs listed in the manual may be difficult. I finally located one at a specialty camera store.
Finally the manual, Samsung web site, and Samsung customer support leave MUCH to be desired.

Great Camera but. . . . .
I picked it up for about a hundred bucks cheaper at Wal-mart.

Inferior color
It's hard to get decent color with this camera and its software. Skin tones come out too yellow. Resolution is good.

The best camera I ever used! Period!
Well, this camera is something special and I have been compelled write this review because of couple of reasons. For the first, here the reasons. I read many bad , negative reviews of this camera and in the same time all those people who actually used it told how much they have being amazed by the picture quality it produces. So I've decided to try. The camera's images are not amazed they are stunned. The image quality is so high that it left me speechless for the first.
I'm just wandering about those who left negative reviews about it? The CNET review, that named it "mediocre SLR camera" is just a plain lie. In my opinion they giving point for those who gives more money, it's it. Another interesting "review", I read from Ken Rockwell (really gifted photo artist!, no questions!), who reviewed this camera without even try it!
So let start. First of all, it is NOT 3.5M camera. It is AT LEAST 10M camera, but megapixels in the traditional meaning just are not applicable here. This camera produces NEGATIVES. This negative is result of 10M photo elements. In the same time any of 6M cameras has HALF OF THEM GREEN and ONLY 25% red and another 25% blue. If we speak about "image quality" using this kind of "resolution" , this camera produces 14M images. In the same time the "real" resolution of those "6M" cameras stand about 1.5M, the everything else is a pure deceiving interpolation. I see that Cannon and NIkon, aren't happy to see this Sigma on the market, since it MUCH SUPERIOR to any camera they make they started to discredit it.
I do not say it is an ideal, but it close. Much closer than everything else that feels like SLR.
This Sigma produces PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES. I mean it. There's full range of amazing continuos beautiful halftones as you can see on the best reversible films. The pictures are spectacular.
Since it is real photographic tool, you come back to the true that photography and it is about light. Your raw pictures will normally produce 3000 by 4500 huge images that is not interpolating, they just "enlargements" from digital negative. It reviles as many details that ANY other camera can't produce. There are 14M cameras on the market, but they DO NOT MUCH this SIgma in the meaning of photography. I can blow my raw image 4 times more and it still looking better than those from 14M Canon. By the way, those image from Cannon show horrible color reproduction, especially in the red. For example two closely colored redish colors coming out the same!
This Sigma saves colors! It saves the real colors, not the estimations, not the interpolations but the real thing. Camera has just the everything that it has to have, including the high speed synchronization up to 1/6000 !!!
The lens from Sigma just as good(or better) as any other lenses from Nikon , Cannon or Minolta. Even cheap $100 tag slow glass is of very good optical quality. Yes/ for $100 you're getting slow lenses, but it almost distortion free and high contrast! But fro $300 you can get perfectly fast, noticeably bright zoom that at least as good as any lens from "leading companies".
Camera is very well constructed, it handles as it should be, the focusing system is fast, the screen is bright and clear, all controls location are very clever and logical. I like this camera and you're going to like it too. No boundaries anymore. You can print image as large as you need, no questions. In two, three years Foveon will overcome. I

The best image quality currently available at any price
Given reasonable light, this DSLR bests all others in overall image quality with its 10.2M sensors and astounding sharpness. The best digital portrait camera in existence.

Don't be fooled by the camera's 3.5MP rating--that is non-interpolated--all other digital camera manufactures, including all DSLRs, list only interpolated resolutions as their MP rating. This inflates other cameras' MP rating by a factor of 3 times relative to the SD-9, since they count each Red, Green, and Blue sensor as a sigle "pixel." The SD-9 counts a full set of three sensors, one Red, one Green, and one Blue, as a single "pixel." Foveon.com claims the SD-9's image quality bests film for any given capture area, and approaches medium format film quality for enlargements up to 40 inches. Some report that sharp enlargements up to 8 feet on the long side are possible from the SD-9's interpolated 14MP output files. The camera's software is the best available. The SD-9 always works losslessly, so be sure to compare only RAW mode specs when comparing to other DSLR's operating speed and convenience of workflow.

Price is amazingly low for a DSLR with so many sensors, now below [$$$]...Hopefully Amazon.com will match them soon.

Not the best DSLR for low light--low light noise is a weakness. Still, can produce very fine low light/night pics with experience.

Fantastic - but battery clip trouble
I have had my camera for a couple of years and generally find it very easy to use, portable, with good features.
But I have had trouble with a small clip breaking off inside the camera body that holds the battery holder in place. I have been told it is not worth repairing. So now I have to use heavy duty tape on the camera to have it function.
If anyone has any ideas about it could repaired at a reasonable cost please get in touch. I live in New Zealand

Still the best
I have tried newer cameras with higher megapixel capabilities, but have yet to find one that is as satisfactory as the DC215. Most importan to me is the field of view the 215 provides, without additonal lenses. It is simple, easy to use, and produces qulaity pictures.

Terrific camera!
I purchased this camera as an entry to the digital camera arena about a year ago. Kodak was preferred over the others notably for the company's reputation. I am still delighted with the camera and use it often. To date I have taken well over 1000 pictures. This camera works beautifully, the images are crisp and clean and is an excellent value for the recreational user like myself. We are in the market to purchase a larger memory card. 8mb is sufficient for day trips but quite small for longer vacations or family events. For complaints about battery life, I strongly recommend purchasing rechargeables. Not only for this, but for all digital cameras.

Ganesh Valliappan (CA)
The case is built sturdy and would definetly protect a camera from jolts from the outside world, but for small camera's like my s400 and my casio M2 im afraid it would be bumping around insde. Would try what Kenneth J. Halliwell mentioned abt the s400. Overall the case is really spacious i would say. It may make life a little difficult when walking around with this attached to your belt. :-) it seems a little big when i look at it and the s400 is so small that the s400 fits in the front pouch meant for accessories neatly!!!

Perfect for Canon S50
Fits camera, charger, USB cable and extra flash card. Well padded and provides good protection.

Too Small
This is a great little case, and would be perfect if my camera were slightly smaller. As it is, however, my Olympus C-4000 is just too large. Soft interior that should be very easy on LCD screens.

Convenient for medium duty digital camera
Great tool for taking quick pics as long as you don't need high res or macro focusing capabilities. takes pretty decent pictures if lighting is good, and it obviously beats having no picture if you're not one to carry a camera around. You can't beat always having it with you, which is where your Jornada is if you depend on the PDA the way I do!...check out hp.com or best buy for much better price

a great little gadget
ok....with the hp jornada 525....it kinda [wasn't good], but it was the pda not the camera...the 525 is a great little pda but it doesn't have the resolution to use the camera well! when i got my jornada 568 this little gadget takes pretty good pictures, much lighter and clearer than on the 525!really glad i held onto it cause this tiny little accesssory is easy to carry and i can take pictures anytime i want...it has lots of setting for night, action, zoom ect....being a nurse at a nursing home there are alot of wonderful moments when i say why don't i have a camera,,,now i do!

Good Pictures and a Great Space-Saver
This is not a professional-grade digital camera with lots of bells and whistles and a manual which requires a masters degree in photography to read. This is a convenient, easy to use, and compact camera for people like me who occassionally like to take pictures. Best of all, if you always have your Jornada with you anyway...now you can have a digital camera, too, without making extra space in your purse or pocket.

This is one of my favorite accessories for my Jornada. As mentioned before, there is no flash. Pictures taken in low-light will therefore be grainy and generally low-quality. But in good lighting, especially in daylight, this camera takes beautiful pictures. The maximum resolution is 640x480, and I've found that to be more than adequate for casual photography. At that resolution, with the highest quality settings, and in daylight...this camera will take pictures rivaling top standalone digital cameras. The pictures are extremely web-friendly and look great on a web page.

The software included with the camera is very good. You can leave the settings on "auto" in most cases and get great results. If you experiment (or know what you're doing), you can use the manual settings to achieve better results in low-light conditions and other special circumstances (such as capturing fast motion). The zoom feature, as with most digital cameras, achieves only marginal results. It's nice to have, regardless.

There are a lot of other features in the software that offer good flexibility and power. All the basic functions are there--shutter speed, exposure, gain, etc.

I suggest the first thing you do is pump up the image quality and size of your pictures to maximum. Each picture will take more free memory on your device, but the quality is worth it. You can always transfer your images to a storage card between photo-ops.

The camera, itself, is very small. It's a painless addition to carry, and is well-protected in the included case. I love the fact that you can use it without opening the cover on your Jornada, if you choose to. We all know how difficult the Jornada screen is to see in the sunlight. The built-in viewfinder and shutter button let you operate your Jornada just like a regular camera. Simply turn it on and it's ready to point and shoot.

I have taken hundreds of pictures with my Jornada and have been very happy, sometimes even amazed, with the results. I've received "oohs" and "ahhhs" from people who use professional grade digital cameras costing hundreds more. But for me it's the genuine portability that really makes it worth the price.

I use my Jornada for just about everything. It is my address book, calendar, planner, MP3 player, photo album, alarm clock, movie player, game machine, notebook, organizer, spreadsheet, checkbook, oven timer, calculator, Internet portal, safe, alarm clock...well, I could go on but you get the idea. And with this accessory, it is my digital camera, too.

I appreciate the feature of being able to record a voice memo along with a picture. I've used this feature to do comparison shopping in stores. I'd find a product I was interested in, take a snapshop and record where I found it and how much it cost. There are so many ways to use it!

Sure, a standalone digital camera might take better pictures. Might. But thanks to my Jornada and accessories like this one...I'm able to carry a very small purse and still carry more devices than most people could fit in a duffel bag. A big one.

Does NOT work with the HP Photosmart 612 Digital Camera
Despite the Manufacturer's statement that this dock works with the HP Photosmart 612 Digital Camera it flat out does not. I recently checked out the dock (having not had an opportunity since purchasing it several months ago) and no where/no how does it work with the HP Photosmart Camera Dock 8881.......I went to the HP website to be sure and per the HP website, the 612 is NOT on the list of compatible cameras for the 8881 dock. Unfortunately, and lesson to be learned, I TRUSTED what I read on the Amazon page advertising this dock and purchased it as such. Now I am out quite a few bucks and it is probably too late to return it to Amazon (since don't have the packaging now, and the time frame of which it was purchased..... Warning: DON'T trust some things in print.........check it out FIRST through the manufacturer to be absolutely sure.....

Very nice for your camera to have a fully function home.
This camera port is absolutely perfect for me because it gives me a place to keep it.
But that is just the least of it. While sitting in it's little cradle, it is charging it's batteries and tied directly to the computer.
I love this because you don't have to plug in, and unplug just to connect it to your computer. The same goes for charging. For that matter it's a plus not to have to remove the batteries just to charge them.
I guess I love it because it does everything I need it too by just setting it in it's home.
I must add one more thing, I certainly do like how when you set it in the cradle, my computer opens it up just like a hard drive.
This is a must to whomever owns a PhotoSmart.

Show your pictures on TV
This is the best thing you can get if you have a PhotoSmart camera!!!

It charges your batteries IN YOU CAMERA!!

You can go to parties, take pictures, show the pictures on a TV and charge your batteries to boot.

Your computer will automatically detect when you put the camera in the dock and open it up like a regular disk drive.

This thing took every ounce of effort that makes digital photography a chore. So now I take thousands of pictures. I don't have to worry about charging the batteries, uploding the photos- just shoot and dock. Shoot and dock. That's how digital photography is supposed to be like.

Failed expectations
I must admit this was the first voice recoder I had ever purchased and with the features and price I thought I could not have found a better bargain. What I got was a tiny well designed pseudofunctional device. I read a few reviews but figured when the people had said the camera wasn't too bad was an understatement, but then again I had high expectations (don't make this mistake). The pictures even at a short distance showed up relatively fuzzy. In high quality mode the W-10 reproduced recordings exceptionally well, however unless you don't leave your computer or a pc to continually download the files you only get about 47 minutes worth, the reason I got the thing in the first place was so I could record my professors whose lectures were consecutive, making it impossible to use that mode. The Standard mode gives fair sound reproduction with a slight hiss, overall its bearable, howeveryou only are allowed 68 minutes not enough time to complete one lecture for my T,R classes (75 minutes for non college readers). Low quality mode, I'll just say I used it once and that was enough of that setting. Also the recoder saves files from modes lesser than high in a different wave level so you can't put them on cds unless you change the format which i dont have time to figure out. In conclusion, if you don't require a lengthy recording then this is a pretty good buy, I have to also admit that just because I complain of the quality of the pictures the camera option would be nice on rare occasions, also the pc interface is a no-brainer. Hope this helps someone looking for a something better not to be unhappy with their purchase!

fun, practical, conversation piece
Pro: A wonderful tiny device I tend to carry with me everywhere. Con: I cannot see the photos til I get home!
Solution: Olympus(or someone) should create software so the w-10 could send images to a pda (palm or PC Pocket OS).

Incredibly Handy
This is an incredible value for a Digital Voice Recorder. It has 1hr. of recording capacity at the highest resolution setting. Over 10 hours of battery life. Voice Activated. All software, cables, earphone piece, and case are included. It's incredibly slim. Easy to manage. And it'll take pictures (not the highest quality but definately am added bonus). What more could you really want?? I am a very satisfied customer.
