Should have come with the camera
I think it's a bit of a rip-off to make you buy this separate from the cameras. The case is attractive and well-made, but all it holds is the camera and maybe some extra batteries, although I suspect 4 extra AA's will be a tight fit in the one pocket in front, or in lieu of batteries, an extra compact flash card. My A70 came with 4 rechargeable AA's. They should really just put the case in with the camera and either include the charger too, or let people fend for themselves with buying some other manufacturer's battery recharger. Seems like a ploy to sell battery chargers to me. I could have bought a charger with batteries for the same price as this kit. I only bought this to get the case.

Great Pruduct Bundle
I bought this bundle for my A75 and it's a great product overall. It has all you need to carry and power you canon A-series digital camera. The batteries are great and you can shoot for couple of days with them without needing to be recharged. The charger is nice and very portable, though I wish it had a power cord instead of connecting directly to the outlet.
I didn't give five start because, as someone already has pointed it out, I think at least the batteries and charger should come with the camera. However, at this price it's a good value and a must for canon A-series digital camera owners.

A must have if you've purchased the Powershot "A" Series.
The litmus test of a good product (typically) is it's availability (not always, but in this case, for certain!). Well, as I attempted to find the A Series accessory kit, I became incredibly frustrated with the following messages: "Out of Stock," "Backordered," "Arriving Soon." Whether my theory of "everyone with an A Series wants one" or whether Canon just doesn't produce enough of these these kits is really irrelevant; if you own an A Series, this kit is a must.

First, the compact case is a streamlined and perfect fit; not a bulky case. And, every camera, particularly these expensive digitals, must have some kind of protection. Okay, preliminaries out of the way, the case is just the cherry. The real beef to this kit is the charger and NiMH rechargeable batteries.

Depending on your use of your camera (and disregarding its powersaving features), AA batteries do not have abundant life. My solution is to have an extra set of non-rechargable AAs with me at all times (which can be conveniently stored in the front pouch of the accompanying case) while using the rechargables. By using this scheme, I'll always be prepared when taking photos. After I get home, I pop the rechargables in the charger, which is very compact and can be plugged in nearly any convenient outlet, and use the non-rechargables. To recharge all four batteries is something less than 4 hours; not bad, all-in-all.

At the price, this is an accessory kit that all A Series owners should strongly consider.

Be careful with the paper
I got the printer dock as a christmas gift. At first it worked great, but then the paper got stuck and there's no way of getting it out. The pictures were okay. I recommend a photo lab!!

i love it!!
i got this for christmas and i love it! with a digital camera i just never would take the time to go somewhere and get them developed. now i can print in less that 1 min and take the picture with me. i can even take the printer with me when there are family functions and take pictures and give to other family memebers right away, instead of them having to wait for weeks for me to get them developed and then mailed to them. it's conveinent and easy to use. although i have the printer dock plus i would figure this one would be just as good.

Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock
I purchased the Easyshare printer dock and I have enjoyed it very much. It is fun, easy to use and the pictures are great. I highly recommend it for anyone !!!

BAIT & SWITCH from Heiu Nguyen
Bought the Intel ICS2USB Create-and-Share Tethered Camera and was shipped the older version - Intel PC camera pack from the year 2000 that retails for $59.99-$79.99 NEW, not the $114 that was paid. The guy (Heiu Nguyen)tried to say that the camera I got was actually better than the one I ordered, but that he would graciously allow Me to keep it because of his mistake on shipping the wrong item!!! When what he really needs is to get rid of the old, outdated version that intel no longer sells on their official website.

Inexpensive and maintence free
I have had this cam for about 3 years (actually bought 2 b/c I enjoyed the first so much, not a whole lot of tweeking and so on) good software, good support should you need it. Buy it you won't regret it. Great for a entry - mid level cam.

Number One PC Camera Choice
The camera and the accompanying software are first rate. I especially like the Scene Recorder, with its ability to take snapshots and record videos. Please note that you can record sounds, such as your voice, with the videos. And most importantly you can Trim them. Videos are saved with extension AVI. You can use a Publish tool to compress an AVI file to Internet streaming format with extension IVS. Microsoft IE 5.0 browser can display both types of files on the Internet. Intel also makes the IntelPlay QX3 Computer Video Microscope. It has magnifications 10x, 60x, and 200x. You can have the most fun possible with two computers side by side: one with the Create and Share Pack Camera and the other with the Microscope Camera. Set up a Live View on the display of the pc with the microscope. Hand hold the Create and Share camera, and point it at the microscope Live View on the other pc. Speak into a microphone and record a video with your voice on the pc with the Create and Share Pack. An AVI silent video file recorded with the IntelPlay Camera can be compressed using Create and Share Publish. Use Create and Share NetCard to send a message with an AVI video recorded with either the Create and Share Camera or the IntelPlay Microscope Camera. I am looking forward to a chance to use the IntelPlay Microscope to generate the video seen in a Video Phone sender view.

Beware - low quality and need to make more purchases!!
We bought this as an upgrade to our VHS camcorder we got 6 years ago. I wanted to be able to edit our videos in the computer. After my first filming, I quickly learned this camcorder has poor zoom quality (if you zoom in too close it gets fuzzy) and very poor audio as you can hear the motor running on playback. When I wanted to hook the camcorder up to the computer to try to do some editing, I discovered the cable you need to hook the two together is not included. This is an extra $30 purchase. Either put more money into a better quality camcorder or save your money until the better quality lower in price!!

Great camcorder for the price!!
Any comments about poor image quality when zooming in are because the user didn't know that ANY zooming beyond the 20X Optical zoom mark is then converted to a Digital zoom which is a conversion of the maximum Optical zoom (20X) by blowing up the image digitally. This results in a poorer image as ANY DIGITAL ZOOM would gives exactly the same effect. DIGITAL ZOOM IS JUST A GIMICK!!!!
It is like taking a picture and then expanding it 990X in a program like Paint. There are a fixed number of dots in the image and expanding it makes it look worse because they get farther apart.
This is a great little camera for the money. Easy to use. Cheap tapes. Built-in light!! (many have none)

Awesome gadget
Mommy and Daddy bought me this camera at Best Buy. I love the sounds it makes similar to the E.T. ride with the beeping sounds. I give it a 5 star rating by PG, R and Y.

Not bad
For the money, this is a good little 5mp camera. It's so light and small that it will fit easily in the pocket, and the picture quality is better than other 5mp cameras I've tried. It's a bit slow to react, both in taking pictures and in being ready to take another picture - that would be my only criticism.

Good quality, features, and price
We are very happy with your Konica KD-500Z. The pictures are sharp and we like all the features, especially the ability to film short videos with sound. Our last digital camera download setup was a nightmare of fire wires and software. Setting this one up to download couldn't be easier!

Great camera
This camera takes GREAT quality photos. The two card slots are very useful. The camera does have a hard time in very dark conditions but not much worse then any other camera. Very easy to use and little so it fits in your pocket...

Leica Digilux Zoom Camera

    Average review score:

Digilux Zoom is a bad decision.
Think of buying the Digilux Zoom? Let me help you make a more informed decision. The Digilux was Leica's first-born in the digital world. While the lens stands up to the Leica name, the body and electronics (outsourced to Fuji) do not. My Digilux Zoom broke TWICE, each time exhibiting the same malfunction with the lens motor. While Leica was very helpful in replacing the camera, I strongly urge you against this purchase. Instead, make a long-term decision and consider Leica's second-born - the new 3.9 mega-pixel Leica Digilux. It stands up to the Leica name and also comes with a 2-year warranty... a nice plus in the ever-evolving world of digital photography.

Better value than you might think
I was deliberating over this camera or the highly rated Olympus D-360L (slightly lower res), which is generally available for about $300. A friend of mine has the Olympus D-340R. It does seems to do a bit better than my Leica with photos in low-light without flash (as the Fuji MX-1700, which is almost the same camera as the made-by-Fuji Leica, is supposed to: see CNET's comparison of the two). However, it came down to design. When will these manufacturers get a clue and start hiring some decent designers? Why produce 1 million Olympus cameras that work great but are externally ugly plastic pieces of junk? It just seems like a waste. Additionally, when considering price, the Olympus takes AAA batteries, so you would want to add the cost of rechargeable lithium batteries (approx. $35?), plus an AC adapter ($50), so you're looking at $385. Also, the Leica comes with Photoshop LE, a nice addition, and it's so easy to recharge by plugging the AC adapter right into the camera. Battery life has seemed okay- using it heavily on a trip I would recharge it every other night. My only real complaint is that sometimes the camera acts 'smart', deciding that conditions aren't good (ie camera shake in low-light) and refuses to take a photo. Annoying. You go digital so you can erase the bad ones, right? Oh, also the flash range is short. In closing, I would compare the Leica to the Fuji MX-1700: with prices comparable, I went for the cache of the Leica (it's a little prettier, in my opinion, and easier to hold on to) but the Fuji's flash might be better. Also, I highly recommend getting the Smartdisk floppy adapter ($60). You don't have to worry about getting to the back of your computer to plugs, or plugging in the camera to save batteries, it's fast, and it's portable.

    Brand Quality & finish
Leica is not popular amongst the American public as being one of the world's best camera manufacturers. If you are looking for mid-level digital camera for family use, i would totally recommend the Leica Digilux Zoom. Easy to use, well designed and excellect results. Definate buy over the Fuji MX-1700 !!

wasted 6 hours in frustration plus shipping costs
Junk. After both my husband and I spent 3 hours each trying to get this thing to work, we are still only able to view 3 of the 97 photos from the CD this thing supposedly "copied" from the compact flash card. The rest of the photos files are unreadable. Big Disappointment.

Won't copy from Memory Stick PRO media
I purchased the unit to transfer photos from my Sony Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO media to CD. The unit seems to work great for Memory Stick, but will not recognize Memory Stick PRO. I have contacted the company for support and they seem to be responsive to my issue. While I have not yet recieved a solution to my problem, they have been answering emails and phone calls and said they are working on the issue. I am optimistic. As far as the vendor, I ordered late Thurs nite and had it by Saturday.

Thank you Alera for the Digital Photo Copy Cruiser!
I just got back from my family vacation and I have to tell you besides taking all site seeing pictures that included all the family, the most fun I had was being able to give my brother and his wife and my parents each a CD of all the pictures before it ended. Like others I got into Digital Photogrphy the end of last year. The problem I have it that Flash memory is expensive. With the Digital Photo Copy Cruiser every day I take a few hundred pictures on my Canon camera and at the end of the day, I put the memory card in the Digital Photo Copy Cruiser, put a CD in, push a button and a few minutes later they are written to CD. It's great.

      problems
hey,,Im back... I was happy with this for one day when taking the first pics., then this cam started displaying lots of colors and lines on the screen, and making lots of noises got crazy,,, had to send it back and get my money back. that's it using flash, drains batteries in less than 9 pics.. I may got a defected one but hopefully you are luckier than me

      not really good
this review is the same than the next up

Only one reason for one less star..........
NO INSTRUCTIONS!! Well, no sufficient instructions....it's basically a "you figure it out" kinda camera. Don't let this hinder you if you are considering buying this camera, though...because with the digital technology the way it is now...it's no problem at all to figure the buttons out.
Two years ago, i bought a $400.00 digital camera and brought it back because i hated it....couldn't move the slightest bit because the pictures came out blurry...could hardly breath when you were snapping a picture!! The Logitech 820 takes AWESOME digital pictures!! Better than the 400 dollar camera i had bought!!
It also takes really good still shots from the webcam itself...such high quality and definition. I have yet to use the webcam capabilities, but i'm sure i won't be disappointed.
The main reason i bought this camera was for the "digital camera" mode. I really wasn't expecting the quality i received for the price i paid. My advice for someone who doesn't want to shell out the big bucks for a digital camera.....is to buy this Logitech 820. You will NOT be disappointed. I do also agree with the suggestion of the first reviewer....buy yourself a bigger memory card...and some extra AAA batteries!! You'll be snapping pictures like a fool with this camera!!

Nikon AS-E900 External Multi-Flash Adapter (no bracket) for Nikon Coolpix 900, 990, 995 and 4500 Digital Cameras
      Made by Nikon
      • Converts Nikon's proprietary 3-pin Coolpix TTL flash connection to a dedicated Nikon hot shoe
      • Compatible with Nikon Coolpix 4500, 995, 990, 950 and 900s digital cameras
      Amazon base price: $9.88
      Average review score:

      You Need the Bracket, Too!
The AS-E900 synch cord works well with my Coolpix 995. Unfortunately, it is very short and the sych terminal is awkwardly placed on the bottom of the 995. This means you must also buy the SK-E900 bracket for the camera. I found that I could not mount the camera on my favorite Stroboframe bracket with the synch cord attached. I've ended up just using a straight bracket and keeping both my hands on the camera and flash. Nikon should have thought this through. I love the camera except for this.

      It's a Coolpix 9xxx and 4500 must have!
I use this little adapter for flash on my Coolpix 990 and 995.
It is necessary to have it for these cameras.
Because, without AS-E900 one cannot use an external flash.
This makes the Coolpix cameras so much more versatile than without.
      ...~(My Only Beef)~...
Is that: I wish the cable were a little longer.
Nevertheless, it is worth every penny as is.
In addition, you will not find it cheaper than... Amazon.com

Very good if used with a good flash bracket.
If you use the AS-E900 with a good flash bracket, like the Magic Bracket or Roll Bar, you are going to get great flash results with your Coolpix camera.
      http://www.magicbracket.com
      http://www.therollbar.com

I agree that it would have been good if Nikon had made the cable a bit longer, but with a good bracket that has been designed for use with the AS-E900, you will get great results!

This setup will work on the Coolpix 950, 990, 995, and 4500.

I have rated the AS-E900 as 5 stars, since it is really the only way to connect an external flash to your Coolpix camera (models listed above), and if used with a good bracket (not the Nikon one) you should be very happy with it.

Other extras to look at (so you can use the flash off camera at a distance of up to 10 feet) are Nikon's...
      AS-10,
      SC-18,
      SC-19,
      SC-17,
      AS-15

Hope this helps you to make your buying decision.
