Great Device
Price + good product = VALUE.Only negative... remote does not control the volumn.
Great clock radio! The only things I wish this clock radio had were a dimmer option for the light (though I must admit that the light is not glaring in the least, and it's not a gigantic problem) and a bass booster.
The listing on Amazon said that the unit could play CD-R/RW's, so I had some concerns when the instructions said that they might not work. However, so far I've had no trouble with playing them.
I was originally looking for a clock radio that had a tape player as well as a CD changer... but they're not even made anymore unless you get them in a mini-system, which was far too large for my nightstand. However, I'm going to get the hardware to transfer my tapes to CD, which I'll then be able to play on this clock radio. I'm really pleased with this unit and have NO regrets about purchasing it. I too, did a whole lot of research (online as well as in stores) before deciding on this particular CD clock radio. It's a nice-looking radio, and I'm glad I got it!

Reliable and DependableENJOY!
great radio clockMy favorite feature of this clock is the Sleep function, the idea is to press one button and the radio is automatically turned on for an hour. So you can sleep with the music on. If you want to end it, just click on another button. It is so convenient.
The green display is bright and easy to be seen at night. Most clock radios have lousy speakers, not this one. Its sound is clear and full, almost as good as my desktop audio.
Sometimes it's awkward to search for your favorite stations because the tuning, volume, am/fm switch are all on the side, you have to hold the whole clock in one hand and operate using another hand. But once you set up everything, you can just lay back and enjoy the music. It is so much fun!

- Remote control provides the convenience of 10-key direct remote control of compact disc, AM/FM tuner, volume and power on/off
- CD Player with 1 Bit D/A converter provides accurate playback and the most natural distortion-free CD sound
- CD-R/RW playback compatibility plays all compact discs recorded on personal computer and audio component CD recording units
- Digital Synthesized AM/FM Stereo Tuner provides the most accurate drift-free tuning of AM and FM radio stations
- Mega Bass sound system produces rich, deep, bass tones for more powerful overall sound

Great Funky Style And Sound QualityThis was a good purchase. She swears she got it for considerably less than the price shown. But even at the price shown, I think it's darn well worth it!
Highly Recommended!

My God! Buy this thing now!
perfect execution and great soundThen i started reading reviews of the Tivoli model two and it sounded like it fit the bill. Brought it home today (i splurged the extra $80 for the sub-woofer) and I absolutely love it.
Great radio reception which should work well in a steel office building, and have my ipod connected via the docks 1/8" line out to the aux in on the radio.
Absolutely a perfect fit.
Pro's
1. great value for the $
2. really solidly built-quality feel of all, especially the tuning knob
3. subwoofer is well done and tuned just right... definitely spring for it if you can afford.
4. terrific styling
5. great sound-especially from such small speakers, and absolutely unbelievable stereo separation.
6. aux input selection on the front, and every other input option you need is on the back.
Con's
1. (and this is really minor), it's a little hard to see the station #'s because of the colors chosen, but dialing is mostly a feel thing anyway.
2. the model one comes in many cool color combos, too bad the model two doesn't as well.
You have to get this is you're into great quality soundsIn comparison, I have an Aiwa bookself system that cost me $400. And this Model Two Radio actually provided clearer and fuller sound. I have a Digital Dolby system which totals around $2,000. The Model Two was no match for that. But hey, that's not a fair comparison.
Get it if you want a great sounding system for your room and don't want to have giant system running wires everywhere.
I will be getting another on for my other rooms.

Great FM soundHowever, if you need a clock and presets but still want great sound, I recommend the Boston Accoustics Recepter Radio. It's got comparable sound and has similar reception and sound integrity. It also avoids over-designed buttons and "features". It runs about $50 more.
What¿s not to like?I also own a Bose Wave radio with CD. I've always thought it to be a a good radio with good tone. But, my new Sangean WR-1 has every bit as good tone, especially on the bass notes. And, the Sangean has superior reception of FM stations. Stations which come in fuzzy on the Bose come in clear as a bell on the Sangean, even with no external antenna.
Conclusion: If you don't need a CD player, the sound is at least equal to the Bose and reception is even better. And the Bose costs $500 vs. $110 for the Sangean. As a fringe benefit, the Sangean is more compact, taking up less room on your table, dresser or desk, and can be used with earphones. What's not to like?
Excellent FM recetion using just the internal antennaI am very impressed with the reception from our new Sangean and we aren't even using the external antenna!

Wow ... Nice Sound ... So Small! The reception is GREAT and the TV works amazingly well ... uses only two AA size batteries ... better reception than my much larger and more expensive Sony AM/FM/TV radio.
Wow ... it is so small ... you will be amazed at its size. After using it today at the river listening to my favorite TV program, I am impressed because I was 25 miles from the station out in the boonies.
I will update this later if it should prove warranted.
Good Luck,
