    Warning!
Just to let any interested purchasers know, this clock does not, I repeat NOT have a plain Beeping function. You can only wake up by your preset radio station turning on, or a continuous loop of lame guitar riffs. Also, just to let you know, the "Mystery Phrases" are prerecorded Magic Eight Ball Answers like a girl saying "Like, No Way!" or a guy saying "You Bet!", "For Sure!", or whatever. Another flaw is that the black projection is almost impossible to see in the dark. The forwards or backwards time setting buttons do make setting the time and alarm easier, but that is the only good thing I can tell you about this clock. Enjoy!

    The dream clock
I loved this clock because it kept me on time, and looked stylish at the same time. My friends call me timemaster!

    Not as it appears!
There were several problems with this clock/radio. The first being it is very hard to set up. It said that it comes set with time and date but mine didn't. The soothing sounds are strange noises, not soothing. And... the worst part is that I cannot read the time at night. The time is in black with a light in the background and is impossible to read from any distance. I was disappointed in this product. The clock really looks nice but is not practical!

    Surprises
I ordered this clock radio with the motivation of the words "Soothing Sound Therapy." I listened to the soothing sounds and they were not soothing! The two sounds or music (one for making you sleep and another for making you wake) were not pleasant. Parts of the sounds(music) sounded horrible, like a dull, broken record. The dial radio tuning is hard to turn, so the stations are hard to pinpoint. The clock setting buttons are on the bottom of the unit, so you have to hold it in your hand. The one speaker is at the back of the unit. Also, it is manufactured by SDI Technologies, a licensee of Zenith Electronics, not Zenith itself. And there was no picture of this new product. But it does look decent and cute. It does set the clock automatically, although it is by time zone. Also it has a cool lime green backlit lcd display (good in the dark) of the time with date and week only, it would be better if the radio tuning was on the lcd screen, too. It has a lithium back up battery, but it also requires AC power and 3 AA batteries (lithium backup). It has Bass boost and 2 alarms and a clear welcome message that tells the features when you press the snooze button. There is a 1 year warranty. Overall, I think it is a ok clock radio.

    Expensive and NOT impressive
I just recently purchased this clock and am totally unimpressed. It sounded really cool from the description, and very unique. Well, it's unique because it's not a good clock. The aromatherapy part doesn't smell at all - you can HARDLY even notice it! The soothing sounds to wake up by (the chimes, flutes, etc...) repeat themselves after a second or two. The only nice feature is that the alarm starts quiet and gradually gets louder, but hardly a feature to off-set the... price tag! I would NOT recommend getting this clock if I were you.

    Good Clock
If you are looking for a clock, go with this one! The time is so big and i love the aroma therapy. I recommend this clock to everyone who has stress! and who needs new clock. I strongly urge you to buy this, you won't regret it.

      Disappointing
I bought this phone about 2 years ago. Just after the warantee was up the handset quit working so that I could no longer dial out. Recently the ringer stopped working and one of the alarm buttons works only intermittently. The AM receiver has only ever worked to pick up a station about 15 miles from me that transmits at 64000 watts. Anything else on AM frequency comes in staticy (is that a word?).

Disappointing sound then phone stopped working
The title says it all. We found the radio to sound pretty horrible as if the stations just could not be tuned well. The previous units (other brands) worked fine. Soon after, the caller ID stopped working. Then after almost a year, the phone stopped working. It's interesting how so few clock radio phones are available, and those that are seem to have low ratings.

      Excellent Product
I absolutly love this item. Phone sounds great. Radio has excellent reception and sound. Caller ID clear and works everytime. Have had it for a while with absolutely NO problems. Recommend to everyone. Even gave several as Christmas gifts and ALL are pleased.

Do not buy a northwestern bell phone
I had my last phone for 40 years and due to remodling I purchased a NWB phone and it lasted 5 months. You can't get through to their help line most of the time and twice I left my phone number to receive a call back and received none. They do not answer their e-mail either. These pnones are junk. BEWARE!

      Poor at Best
Cannot read the LCD display ... not lit ... bad angle ... have to tilt to see

Can't see the time in the dark!
Phone looks good and works well, but one major feature is missing! There is no backlit display! You can't see the time or the caller ID in the dark. I'm sending it back.

      Do not buy this lemon!
First of all, the nature sounds are awful! They repeat much too quickly so you'll be hearing the pattern in a minute or so. And the CD player has been touchy since the beginning. Now it doesn't work at all!! I contacted Timex...the only way to get it fixed it to mail to them with a check for $30. Forget it. Find a better one. Stay away from Timex.

      Horrible
This is a cheesy clock. While I like nature sounds to sleep to, this clock has a loop that is so short it drives you nuts as you listen to the same cricket or frog hiccup endlessly. Random sounds, guys, random. This is just plain awful. And it looks chintzy, too. Skip this one.

Not as bad as everyone says.....
The other 4 reviewers must be those same people that still haven't figured out how to program their VCR. My only complaint is that the Indiglo display is difficult to read when the dimmer is turned down at night. It has a decent sound from the radio and my family actually likes the Nature Sounds (when turned down low). I wouldn't pay $149 for it but at < $70 it's a good buy.

not as cool as it looks
I was so excited about getting a new alarm clock with a cd player and was willing to spend some money. While checking out a bunch we though this was a pretty cool looking and it had all the features I was looking for. We did notice that because of the way it opens there might be problems in the future, so we got the extended insurance. What we didn't exect was the fact that it isn't balanced properly inside, so the cd taps. It definatly woke me up, but the tapping was so annoying it almost got thrown through the window. I'll be returning it today.

      Form should follow function.....
Unfortunately, this item wasn't designed with function in mind.

The buttons are too small. Settings are relatively intuitive, but the unit just takes a lot of uncomfortable fiddling to operate. Seems that the designers were primarily interested in making a unit that looks cool... it lacks a dimmer for the overly bright display, has no provision for an accessory antenna, and has a complex motorized plastic door for the CD compartment that seems destined for mechanical failure.

I purchased this product two days ago because years of waking up to beeps, buzzers, and bells had led me to fear and dread waking up in the morning. The first one I brought had tracking problems that caused the CD player to skip and stutter. I returned it yesterday, and proceeded to test all the comparable units available in an attempt to find a better one. I wound up getting another one of these instead of switching to another product for only one reason -- the sound. With all its flaws, the sound quality this unit delivers just flat blows the competition away. All the other comparable models sounded like the music was coming out of a paper cup. Horrible. I stress tested the new unit and evidently got a decent one -- the CD player performs perfectly, with no skips or stutters -- at least on its first day of use. Time will tell, I suppose.

This time I also bought the two year extended warranty so I can swap it when it breaks.

      Better than I expected!
After reading the reviews from this site, I was worried about purchasing this item. My suitemate next door has it and he said he likes it, so I thought if it dosent work I'll just return it. Well, this wont be going back anytime soon. I paid close attention to what the other reviews had ragged on. I have not had any of these problems at all. The cd player makes a noise when you first put a cd in, but after than is completely silent. In fact, I have fallen asleep listening to a cd the past two nights since I bought this. The radio stations come in crystal clear. My only complaint is that the lcd screen is a little bright in the darkness, but I've had no problems falling asleep so far. It takes a couple times until you can figure out what all the buttons are for, but now that I have played with it some, it's easy. I must say, this system is great and has a lot of nice features. Dont let the price distract you. It's a bit pricey, but so far, I think it's worth every penny. Dont hesitate, this is the one you want!

      junk!!!!
two died in less than a year!!

      Horrible Phone
I purchased this phone/radio/clock combo for my mother and after the first few uses, it was returned. It's a good concept for those who have limited space, but poorly executed. The most glaring problem is that the radio will bleed into your calls. It isn't very loud, but you can hear talking and music very faintly in the background when the radio is supposed to be off. The radio reception itself is horrible and the speaker is not very good. There are buttons on each side of the phone that set various functions like volume control. Those were very loose and could probably snap off with ease after some use. The only thing good I can say about this is that the phone will work if the power goes out. Plugging it into an outlet is only needed for the radio, clock and caller ID functions. In fact, the phone works best if it's not plugged in; which seems to prevent the radio signal bleeding in. However, that goes against how this product is supposed to work. You're better off getting a lower priced corded phone and a separate clock/radio instead.

      waste of money
This product is the absolute pits. The audio is harsh and definitely unpleasant. When using the phone you can hear the radio in the handset even though the radio if off. As for the lighted radio dial........forget it. The dial has a narrow vertical slot through which a very dim LED lights. Since the dial markings are on either side of this slot, its impossible to see what station your trying to locate. Additionally, the caller ID display is also hard to see even if the contrast is adjusted to your liking. The brightness of the called ID display as depicted in the ad is misleading at best. Avoid this product at all costs. Believe me you won't be satisfied with it.

      Clock Radio Review
The radio is TOO loud when it comes on. The radio is hard to tuen. The clock face is too bright in the dark and the caller ID is hard to see. This is not a very good buy.

You get less than what you pay for!
Unfortunately, when I bought this phone, I got less than what I paid for... There are no bargains or good deals with this phone..
--==THE BAD==-- ** The radio dial tunes very badly ** The caller ID is very difficult to see and poorly lit ** The handset cord is only 12 inches long coiled up and if streched more than 18 inches you will pull the base from whatever you have it sitting on ** the phone cord that plugs into the wall is permanently attached to the base set and can not be switched for a longer one, this is not good if your phone jack is more than 2 feet away, you would have to buy an adapter to extend the cord ** The worst thing about this is the fact that you can hear music from the radio bleeding into the phone line, the radio and alarm are OFF, this is very annoying, I could live with the other short comings, but this is the worst thing about this, if anyone knows how to solve this issue please send me an email
++==THE GOOD==++ ** I Like the bright display, even dim is very bright ** I like the oversized snooze button **

      Clock Radio review
Even on the dimmer of the two settings this clock's face generates enough light to read a book by. I found myself strategically positioning objects in front of it at night to block the insomnia-producing rays.

Also the button lay out is very confusing. I still have to take a long look at it to figure out how to set the alarm time. Not an easy alarm clock to operate.

      doesnt work
Everything worked fine for about a week, then it stopped playing burned CDs, then all CDs, then the radio stopped picking up stations. Works great as an alarm clock, but then why not just buy a ceap alarm clock? Definitely wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

      Not a great product
Display way too bright, sound quality just okay. The one that I bought, I returned because the clock was really fast. The only thing I really liked about it was the big display (except for the fact that it lit up the whole room).

      Poor unit for this price.
I agree with all others on this unit. Nice sounding speakers but the radio reception poor. No dimmer switch and the display button is for displaying the cd tracks if anyone needs to know. But over all alarm is loud enough to wake the heavy sleeper. They need to make these radios with pull out antennas.
