Piece of Garbage. . .. . . that's putting it nicely. The CD player - when it works - skips if you even so much as look at it. The sound quality is same as those tin-can string "telephones" that we used to make when we were kids. My expectations were pretty low when I ordered it because of the low price, but if I knew then what I know now of this product they couldn't give it to me.
Tricky, but crappyThere's another product that looks *almost* like this, but also include a fog-free mirror, more CD features, and better sound quality. Go for that one instead!
Wouldn't turn off! This radio lasted 3 days in my shower. Then suddenly it just wouldn't turn off. Even though the power was supposedly turned off, it would suddenly emit noise. I finally had to remove the batteries...and return it to the store!

I wish I had read these reviews first!Ditto on all previous reviews. Nothing to commend this device.
Horrible productThis is a horrible, horrible product. I keep it in my baby's room. When the power goes out (as it does occasionally) and comes back on, the alarm is blaring. It woke my son up today for the LAST time. I took this sorry product and put it straight in the trash. The sound quality is lousy, the commands for the CD player and confusing and don't always work, and then there's that alarm problem. Don't waste your time on this junk.
Keep looking!I wanted an inexpensive clock radio & CD player with relatively good sound. The CD quality is great, but after owning the clock for just one month, the radio tuning dial broke. Now I must guess the stations, as the indicator is stuck between 94 and 96. If you plan to use this clock primarily for the radio feature, there have to be better products on the market!

garbageI purchased this radio several weeks ago and it's been thrown in the garbage. It has poor radio reception, and tape player is noisy and it does not have clear sound.
JunkIt doesn't get much worse than this. The audio quality is similar to sticking your head in a bucket and scraping metal objects around. The tape player ate one of my tapes. The tuner never seemed to work in the AM band... you could go 1/4 the way on the same station/static. To trust this alarm clock in waking you for you future is as smart as tricking yourself into thinking you'll get up 30 minutes after you hear your neighbors car start. Buy this only with a surplus of aspirin...
Not Very GoodI was not impressed with this unit, even considering its relatively low price. I purchased it because it is one of the few currently-manufactured clock radios that contains a cassette player. It is cheaply made. The unit I received was defective: when I tried to play a cassette, all I heard was a loud howl. When I accidentally hit the "sleep" button (the buttons are pretty close to each other), I was unable to stop the radio from playing and eventually had to unplug the unit. After some research I found that TIMEX (a company with at least a bit of a reputation) doesn't even make the unit--they've licensed their name to another company. They should be ashamed.

...We were planning on getting approx. 16 clocks to put around our office so every clock is the exact same time, so meetings start on time, so we don't need to set every clock for daylight savings, etc.... According to the instructions it will set itself within 48 hours. It's been about a week and it still has not set itself. I heard they had ones at (a store) so I went up to look. They were 14" clocks with a black border... I set one of them in the evening to make sure it would set and it set itself within 10 minutes. I put batteries in the other 15 clocks and they all set themselves within 15-20 minutes (while the (other) clock still hadn't set). That was last week and all of the cheap clocks we have are awesome. Plus, the time setting procedure on the Atomix clock is a joke. You have to set the time to within 5 minutes of the actual time, then hit a button on the back once when the second hand reaches 12 and then ones when the second hand is 1 second past the minute hand. Talk about a headache. With the "SkyScan" clock you simply put the battery and hit the timezone you're in and it's good to go...
OFF-CENTERThis seemed like a simple, practical clock for our living room but I had to send it back. The piece of paper or plastic on which the numbers are printed wasn't centered perfectly in the ring of wood, which looked pretty bad. Also, the same paper or plastic tended to peel off of the back of the clock.
So it cost us shipping both ways, and we have no clock.

A waste of money.Too bad there's not a zero star option. I bought this primarily for a kitchen radio. The tuner and volume knobs are so smooth and so tiny you can barely turn them--certainly not with wet or sticky fingertips. The tuner is analog, not digital, so you're lucky to tune in a station at all; it's impossible to avoid interference. Nor is it an option to set it to mono to cut the background hiss. I suppose the CD player works and sounds fine, so I've put it in the laundry in case I ever get around to ironing. If not, taking it to the consignment shop will likely cost less than shipping it back for another $20.
Poor QualityI received this radio and had to ship it back the same day. The CD player worked once and never worked again. The knobs are extremely small and hard to turn. The overall craftsmanship of this item is poor. I would suggest you try another unit.

Illinois ConsumerI agree!! This clock/phone is awful! You cannot tell what time it is unless you hit a button to have it light up! What kind of clock is not lit up? The LCD display is awful on the caller ID. Even trying to move the phone around to look at a different angle does not work. I am definitely returning this item. Good idea, but very bad design.
Bad phone, bad clockThis phone is awful! You can't see the display unless you are standing above it, so you can't see the time from bed. The phone sounds so bad that I will walk to the kitchen to answer instead of picking up in the bedroom. Sound is terrible and crackely on both the phone and the radio. Really a poorly made product.

didn't play cds wellI liked the button setup a lot, the way you set the alarm, etc., but there were only 2 cds out of my whole collection it would play. It made a loud spinning noise when playing, and most CDs (even brand new CDs just out of the case), the display would just read "NO" and it wouldn't play. I kept it anyway, but it still only lasted a year until the alarm just wouldn't set anymore. I would not recommend this product.

No specs available? Why would anyone risk the $70 hassle of ordering a radio when basic specifications are unavailable? Digital tuner? size? I could go on but you get the idea. Pitiful. No wonder there are no reviews. There are no sales I'd guess.

Very disappointingProjection has to be turned on manually by hitting the snooze button and only stays on for 8 seconds. I thought the point of having projection was to not have to find the clock in the dark. An adapter can be bought at an additional fee plus shipping, which is not indicated when purchasing. Projection is very small and difficult to read. I'm returning mine.
