Neovo monitor
Actually, I'm using the S-19 monitor, but the specs are basically the same as the 18-inch. What a delight. I held off buying a TFT monitor for years, worried that the screen would get damaged. This not only solves the problem, but it's one of the most brilliant and readable screens (for text as well as graphics) that I've seen anywhere. Well built, easy to set up.

a very good monitor
The Neovo S-series doesn't just look good, but they are good! The picture quality is very sharp and with a DVI (digital video interface) there is no loss in image quality. It might be a bit more expensive than some other brands, but it is well worth it. You just can't stop looking at it!!
And with its video in you can connect it directly to your cable box, dvd/video player, etc, as well.
I would buy it again.

Apple DVD-R Media 4.7GB Recordable General Purpose Only (5-Pack)

It is a true Apple product.
It works like a charm. With much higher density of media, the competibility of DVD-R (and/or DVD-RW,DVD+R,DVD+RW,DVD-RAM) media can cause much trouble with home DVD player as well as the standard DVD Drivers for computers. With Apple DVD-R media I never experienced such troble. I am a home video maniac and I have burned tons of DVDs for my friends and relatives. Using name brand media such as Sony and TDK reduces rate of serious trouble significantly, but with Apple media, you can always be sure the result will be trouble free with similar price.

    Reliable!
The most reliable media I have used in my DVD-R drive. Zero problems with the disks - they play in every DVD player I have tried them in. No coasters.

PCI Mac Radeon- The most powerful PCI 3-D card. Period.
This is quite literally the most powerful PCI Graphics card available. There are no faster cards out there for the PCI interface. 32MB of DDR-RAM (running at an effective 333MHz), coupled with a 166MHz GPU, 3 texture pipelines, and the TCL (Transform Clipping and Lightning) Charisma Engine, make this a must for any gamer with a PCI-based G3 who wants to take gaming to new heights without shelling out [money] for a new G4. For best possible results, you need a B&W G3 with a 66MHz PCI slot. Unfortunately i have only a 33MHz PCI bus in my beige G3, but this thing still pumps frames like it's nothing. My 300MHz CPU is bottlenecking this beast! Here is my setup: 300MHz G3/300/1MB, 66MHz bus, 320MB PC66 RAM, 6GB HDD, 16x10x40 CD-RW, Zip Drive, and 3Mbps cable modem. And OS 9.1. Let me say that in UT with my old wimpy ATi Rage PRO MACH 64 2MB card, i got a "whopping" 6fps. When i popped in this card, first thing i noticed was the amazing image quality- its incredible. I hit a solid 30-40 fps- on my four year old machine! (This is 1024x768x32 all settings max sound on). I lose about .1-.5 fps on switching from 640x480 to 1024x768- on Quake III or UT! This is because the card is so fast, the CPU is sending it data relatively slowly, so the damn thing's not even being tested, much less saturated! I think I might buy a 533MHz G3 card to max out this system- unless i OC'd the bus to 83MHz- doable- but stupid. Kicks the ATi Radeon 7000 PCI's butt. Why? Although the 7000 has a 366MHz effective DDR-RAM speed and a 183MHz GPU, it has only 2 pixel pipelines, and has no TCL, an essential component that takes loads of work off your CPU. So essentially you add 166MHz to your CPU, and add 32MB of DDR-RAM to ur video card. Well sort of. Overall GREAT!

After 3dfx, this is the card for PCI based Macs!
I decided to get this card after 3dfx was bought up by nVidia and new drivers stopped becoming available for my Voodoo 5500, and while the Voodoo card was impressive, I can't help but wonder why I didn't go for the Radeon in the first place. The one thing the Voodoo 5500 had over this ATI card was more powerful FSAA (full screen anti-aliasing), undoubtedly an attractive feature in 3D games like Unreal. But in my opinion, this is a small price for continued support in the form of updated drivers from a company that by now has a long and stable history on the Macintosh platform. Not to mention that the ATI Radeon is SMOKIN'! Sure, its 32 MB sound merely half as much as the Voodoo 5500's gargantuan 64 MB of VRAM, but then the ATI sports double density RAM--and it shows. The performance of 3-D games is a good measure of how powerful a graphics card is, and after I had cranked up Unreal Tournament to 1024 x 768 resolution and still I still kept getting a buttersmooth framerate of 30, I gotta tell you, I was gaping at my screen and muttering "Omigosh." Who knows--I might even go a little higher ... remember, however, that the performance of even the most powerful graphics card is limited by the speed of your CPU, so going for a framerate of 60 at the highest resolution may be unrealistic on all but the fastest Macs. If gaming performance matters little to you, the card delivers no less in intense graphics applications like Illustrator and Photoshop, and while I am not currently using this feature, the ATI Radeon also lets you hook up a TV set or a flat-panel monitor to your Mac ... not to mention a camcorder via S-Video (all cables included--always a nice touch). And last but not least, the included drivers and systems software is stable--the 3dfx utilities caused me at least a few headaches and system instabilities in their time. I imagine if you have one of the newest G4's which come with the nVidia GeForce, you'll be quite happy with that, but otherwise the ATI Radeon is an excellent choice for graphics on the Macintosh.

      Good USB Keyboard
I own this keyboard, and I only have nice things to say about it. The keys have just the right firmness with that click that veteran computer users will appreciate. I really hate the soft feel that some keyboards (Dell, Compaq/HP) provede. This is keyboard feels like a vintage IBM in the best way. Also all the keys are the right size and in the right place, that means full size backspace key and the \ is right where God and IBM intended to put it. And another thing, this keyboard is USB, so it will work with your PS2 as well, so you can save money by not buying a dedicated PS2 keyboard.

      keyboard
i do not own this keyboard, but all 98' keyboards are compatible with newer models,
      thank you

      Works fine
I have one of these connected to a Power Mac MDD 867 and it works fine. Like the first reviewer, I used double-sided foam tape to secure the hub to my desk. Connected to it and working fine are a Lexmark printer, Canon scanner (bus-powered), Griffin iMic, Wacom Graphire tablet, Clie dock, Plantronics USB headset, and a Logitech MX710 mouse.

Is this a socket before my eyes...
I use USB a lot - I have a variety of devices that use it to communicae with computers, and the couple of sockets that most machines have has long since become inadequate for what I do. At present, I have two Belkin 7-port USB hubs and one 4-port model on various computers around my house and business. They are simple, unassuming, and loyally perform their work with a minimum of trouble. I've tried other hubs, but the Belkins have been by far the most reliable.

This is a plug it in then plug other things into it technology. The only thing you can do wrong is man-handle the connections hard enough to break something. And the Belkin sockets are plenty tough. It comes with it's own power supply which is more than adequate to support devices that draw their energy from the USB connection.

My only gripe is a typical one of all USB hubs - the box isn't heavy enough to overcome the pull of the USB wires. Of course, making it so would significantly effect the price of a very affordable device. This really is only an issue if you have to keep plugging and unpluging things. I gave up and grabbed a roll of double sided tape - end of problem.

      Excellent Printer
This is a fabulous printer. I purchased it back in October, and I waited until I put some use on it before adding a comment. It is reliable, quiet, and sturdy, with a reasonable footprint for a laserprinter, smaller and less expensive than the HP 2200's. It has handled home office tasks reliably. The duplex feature works well and I love how it powers down and jumps back to service when it is called upon. We are using it with a family of Macintosh computers over a home wireless to router to cable network, and happily printing from all reaches of the house. Compared with less expensive hp's such as the 1200 series, this printer is worth the extra money for a real networked printer with no dangling trays or clipped-on ethernet connectors. It is a great choice.

      A Superb Laser Printer
I looked into several printers under $1000 before deciding on the Brother 1870N. This is a solid, quality printer. The instructions for set up are very thorough and easy to understand. I was able to set up the printer over a network within minutes after unpacking it. Both the manual tray and cassette tray worked flawlessly. The text and graphics are crisp and the built-in automatic duplex option performed beautifully. This feature is available in other brands, but you will pay a lot more! I am using this printer with a Macintosh Computer (Jaguar) and will highly recommend it to anyone interested in a new laser printer. You will pay at least $300 more on the Hewlett Packard side for the same features. This is certainly a best choice for either home office or power office printing.

      great product, great tech support
I recently bought the fighterstick, throttle and pedals USB.

At first I was at a loss on how to program them, then I stumbled accross www.ch-hangar.com, a support forum where questions are answered by CH Products employess and members of the community.

When I asked for help I got a full custom profile for Battlefield: 1942 that works great.

You can tell this stick is built to last, and the throttle and pedals are solid also and the software is excellent.

My only complaint is the placement of a button on the lower shaft of the joystick where my right pinky rests--preventing me from getting a true white-knucle grip on the stick (the same button also appears on the combatstick usb model).

[Update:I was able to remove this button without much trouble so all is well. I did not have to disassemble the stick to do this.]

I have yet to set the stick up with IL-2: Forgotten Battles, but I feel confident I'll get some help if necessary. www.ch-hangar.com also has a section with downloadable profiles for a number of games which is very handy.

      looks aren't everything
Being a long time flight simmer and after using many different joysticks, throttles and pedals, I finally tried this one.

With my last stick being the TM Cougar, I learned to appreciate softer springs, precision and overall reliability. Most of these were missing with my one year old Cougar which now seems was all about looks.

Being made by dedicated flight simming accessories company, CH Fighterstick seems to be one of less known secrets of hardcore sim crowd.

At first, I was suspicious because of its plastic feel. The stick is big enough even for large hands, while people with smaller hands may find it somewhat uncofortable.

Springs are very light. This is a plus for me, as it allows higher precision, especially near the center. You don't get to wrestle the springs during your flying. It has great throw, so there is a lot of room for precision input throughout the range of motion.

Trim wheels for both axes help even in simulations without trim controls. Smart stuff.

There is a throttle wheel at the base of the stick. If you have a throttle, this wheel can be mapped to another function, but you won't be able to reach it without letting your hand off the trottle or stick.

Software is excellent and it actually rivals the software being shipped with the Cougar. As with the stick itself, at first it looks toyish. After a while you learn its huge capabilities.

Verdict: The best high end joystick out there - precision, programming abilities, reliability and simplicity being its trump cards.

      Top of the line
Here's the deal. If you can get the original cartridges for about the same money or less, then do it. but remember, major manufacturer ink compliations have patents on them. So, these aftermarket fakers cannot exactly duplicate the original ink formula or they'd be infringing on the patent! So, maybe the original is waterproof and the fake is not. Maybe the original is guaranteed not to get stale and the fake is not. Maybe the original drys faster than the fake. Maybe the orginal has greater lightfastness (resists fading) than the fake. Who knows, whatever the case may be, there will MOST LIKELY be some loss in document quality for using a replacement ink cartridge as opposed to the original. So, if you can get the original for cheaper than do it. It the fake costs about as much as the original, then go ahead a spring the extra couple bucks or so and get the orginal!

These are getting harder to find in the real wold.
These cartridges work as well as the real thing. What am I saying? These are the real thing. The price is right (even with shipping.) and I sure beats trying to refill cartridges with syringes.

      Super Printer
This is a very capable printer and carries a moderately heavy load in my office. It prints crisp, clear and very fast (first page out in only a few seconds). I haved owned it for several months and it has printed tens of thousands of pages with no problems or jams. I was originally concerned with build quality as the plastic housing felt kind of light, but it holds up and continues to perform very well. As an aside, avoid the standard toner cartridges, they are used up fast, the extended use ones last much longer for a little more money. Highly recommend the printer.

      Excellent Printer!!!!!
I bought the 1200se printer for personnel use about 2 months ago from Best Buy in Schaumburg, IL and I absolutely love it. (I do not have the optional copy/scanner attachment). I read up on the following printers and it came down to the HP 1200se and the Brother 1450. I chose the 1200 for a few reasons. The HP name and customer service ...(GO HP!) I did notice a lot of talk of the paper curl but I don't think it is that bad at all. I bought HP paper and have not noticed any significant problems. The printer can print incredibuly fast and overall, I have not had any problems. I would DEFINITLEY recommend this printer.
