Not even usable
Waste of timeI didn't buy this printer with high expectations - all I do is print out a few word documents and articles off the internet. But I'm pretty disappointed in Lexmark after purchasing this printer. After all, it's a pretty inexpensive printer but if this is an example of the quality of printers Lexmark turns out, it's pretty bad. I'm looking to purchase a new printer now, and if you are to, don't waste your time purchasing a Lexmark!
Buy it!!!!!

Very Poor Protection
Marware is betterThe corners of the CEO are open a tiny bit, but they should protect your iPod from all but the most bizarre of circumstances.
Good Case, but be WarnedSlight problem: Notice how they say "Fits all iPod sizes"?
WRONG.
Apparently, the case is great for the 10, 15, and 20 GB iPods, however there's a slight drawback with the 40GB: IT DOESN'T FIT. On my first try, I had to jam my 40GB iPod in the case. Taking it out was a torture, however I was in the end successful.
So I'm seriously pissed off, and I ask myself why would someone sell a case saying it fits all sizes when it gets your 40GB iPod STUCK IN THE CASE!? I need not answer that question.
So I go ahead and use rubbing alcohol (alochol loosens leather, my friends) on the case for a day at regular intervals and finally my iPod fits TIGHTLY into the case. Taking it out is still a "dangerous" procedure.
Otherwise, if you're buying this case for an iPod of smaller size than a 40GB, there's only one drawback: you must remove your iPod out of it's case to put it in the dock. Besides this minor drawback, I really like the case: it's stylish, convenient and the seams are very tight and strong. Good case, except for the dock problem and the 40GB problem

Not compatible with all printers
Functional, but super uglyI got this adapter for the sole purpose of connecting a serial digital camera to my G3. It did its job well. The flashing LEDs tell you whether the item is connected properly and when there is activity (such as downloading or deleting photos from the camera).
My less than perfect rating is for appearance. It should be illegal to make anything for the Mac platform that is brown and ugly like this unit is... it's certainly unethical to charge nearly $... for something that looks like a stepped-on package of cigarettes. Granted, I'd rather have something that's ugly and works well than something that's pretty and doesn't work at all... goodness knows I've bought some cool looking toys that turned out to be doorstops and boat anchors. Still, this is way over-priced for today's competitive market considering the awful design. If they dropped the price in half, it would be easier to stomach the little brown rectangle. Otherwise, it functions well.

Worst mouse I've ever owned! One huge annoyance, the cord is extremely stiff, so it constantly interferes with moving the mouse around. I'm always pushing against the cord. I've had the mouse for 3 months now, and the cord is still stiff and still bent like it was out of the box.
Another huge annoyance...regardless of what kind of surface I try it on (multiple mouse pads, fake wood), the ball sticks about 30 minutes after I clean all the rollers off. And I have to clean the rollers at least twice a day. I never had to clean my Apple ADB mouse which I used in the exact same spot as this mouse. And my Apple mouse NEVER stuck like this one does.
And finally, something about the driver or the sticky ball or whatever makes the cursor shake frequently for no apparent reason. This obviously interferes with screensavers and sleep.
Overall, this mouse is awful. I'm pitching it today and getting a decent cordless optical mouse.

Unreliable Product/Inaccesible Customer ServiceThen I realized that the NERO software does the same thing as the Roxio software. So I loaded NERO v QPS 5.5.7.8 from the installation CD, however it did not work. QPS customer service was difficult to get hold off and when I did connect wasn't of any help. I then downloaded v 5.5.8 from NERO and it did work. Then I had problems with the drive not ejecting the CDs and sometimes turning DVD-RW into a DVD-ROM despite using the right software (InCD) to transfer data. On the whole, I am fed up and I am getting ready to return the product. It wasn't worth the trouble.
It's slow, but it worksI found this product especially difficult to buy. That is, I had to read through a lot of material both before and after my purchase to fully understand what it was I needed, who made it, and where to find it. The easiest part was finding the lowest price.
The difficulty lay in the fact that DVD standards have not yet settled down, and there are several to choose from. These include DVD-RW, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-RAM, and possibly others. There are also single layer and double layer media as well as single sided and double sided media.
Here's what I needed:
·a low cost machine
·that can backup computer files
·and burn DVD's playable on home players
·with appropriate software
What I found was that QPS basically puts a plastic shell around a Pioneer burner thereby making it "external." They bundle it with software and sell it under their own label.
What I got was a machine that can store 4.7 Gb of data or video on a single sided, single layered media using the DVD-RW or DVD-R standard. QPS' bundled software, InCD, conflicts with DirectCD, so you must uninstall DirectCD first. However, I can read my DVD-RW disks in my other DVD-R/CD-RW drive as well as in my DVD drive on a different machine that still uses DirectCD. So I'm quite satisfied.
Software:
InCD works well enough, though you can only eject the media through the software and not through the drive's eject button. I can also create DVD-R disks playable on any of the DVD players I've tried.
On the other hand, I found the software which creates movie DVD's wholly inadequate. When one creates a movie DVD, one wants an application which helps create box covers, disk labels, navigation screens, movie chapters, etc. For an additional hundred bucks, I purchased DVD Complete Deluxe which does all that through a very easy to use interface. If you dream of making your own movie DVDs, you'll want to spend the extra hundred bucks.
Performance:
In addition, QPS' DVD-RW formatting and data copying processes are "slow" (slow being relative). It take about an hour to format a DVD-RW disk, and longer to convert and burn a DVD movie. If you don't need speed, and you're prepared to buy your own DVD burning software (or are willing to settle for less), then this machine does a great job!
Other:
I was happily surprised to find that one can chain multiple firewire devices through this machine. However, I was disappointed that the included six pin to six pin firewire cable was not compatible with my four pin Sony VAIO port. I had to buy a four pin/six pin cable for another twenty or thirty bucks. The additional two pins simply provide power to devices that don't have their own power source. This drive, as one might expect, requires its own power source. No big deal, though. The product documentation "prepared" me for this, and I had the appropriate cable in hand by the time UPS delivered my machine.
Now I just have to hope I bet on the right side of the "standards" battle.

Not for new ipods
Tim Robertson MyMac.com ReviewEnter the FlipStand from Speck Products. This is a nice solution as both an iPod case, as well as a desktop stand. The case is all plastic, with a piece of clear plastic over the iPods display. The FlipStand completely protects the iPod in a somewhat durable plastic enclosure. There is a hole at the top of the unit so that you can slip the headphone jack in, and it is wide enough to support the volume control extension the 20GB-iPod ships with.
The top of the FlipStand folds open, so that you can slip the iPod down into the unit. It also flips back to reveal the FireWire port and the Hold button.
The first thing you notice is how the iPods control wheel is hidden behind the plastic, dark Grey door. This door actually flips around behind the iPod, turning the FlipStand into a stand for the iPod. A case and stand, all in one attractive solution! Once you move the Grey door, you have easy access to the spin-wheel of the iPod, as well as Menu, Forward, Back, and Play/Pause. Larger fingers, however, will find pushing the buttons a little more difficult while using the FlipStand, and the buttons run right up against them.
Also included with the FlipStand is a detachable plastic belt-clip, so that you can take your iPod with you more easily.
All in all, I like the concept and design of the FlipStand. It seems well built, and in the two weeks I have used it, I have had no problem at all. Getting the iPod out of the FlipStand is no quick task, though. At least my 20GB unit fits very snug in its new housing. This is a good thing, as you don't want the iPod to be able to slip out easily.
For thirty-five dollars, you will enjoy the FlipStand. And while I have a few more iPod cases coming for review, they will be hard pressed to make me give up using the FlipStand on a regular basis.
Pros: good protection, great concept. Blends with the style of the iPod well. Multi-functional as both a stand and a holder.
Cons: somewhat cheap construction. A full years use will probably result in something breaking on the FlipStand, either the top flip-top, or the Grey door. Plastic joints around the movable parts do not look too sturdy for long-term use.

Protect The Environment, Get Horrible Print QualityIt consistently prints like a cartridge with a dirty head--complete with streaks and smudges--yet cleaning it has little effect except to waste ink. Apparently, the remanufacturer does little to ensure quality. They just fill it with ink, maybe dip the head in some cleaner, pack it and ship it: I guess. It would take a lot of convincing to get me to make another go of refurbished inkjet cartridges no matter the cost savings.
Don't waste your time and money!
Fantastic product
I managed to, on multiple occasions, get it in there so that the printer would actually take the paper, but then the paper always got jammed. I tried printing with lots of paper in the feeder, with a normal amount, and with just one, but none of it mattered - it jammed every time.
The software that comes with this is also extremely annoying in that it tells you it's printing, that there's no paper, and that the paper is jammed in a loud computer voice. A simple popup window would do, but I guess this is for those computer users who are blind and need to be told in a loud, annoying voice.
I could not print a single page from this printer, so if that's what you're looking for, go for it. Otherwise, get a printer that actually works.
