DEFECTIVE Monitor and an AWFUL Company
Do not buy this monitor and stay away from ViewSonic. I unfortunately purchased this monitor about 9 months ago. The first monitor arrived with a defective screen. Returning this first defective monitor cost extra [money] in shipping. I've now had the second monitor for 9 months and the screen just went blank ... a sizzling sound came from the back ... and a foul burning smell came out of the monitor. Again I called tech support. Now ViewSonic tells me that they don't know when they will be able to send me a replacement P225f as there is "no stock". I have never had such a horrible experience with a monitor and with dealing with a company. You should avoid this monitor (consider the Hitachi instead) and definitely avoid this company. Their warranty is worthless.

Viewsonic P225 Professional monitor disappoints
While I was impressed with the speed (and price) in which this heavy monitor was delivered from Amazon.com, I am disappointed in its performance.

The monitor had an evident color cast across the screen. No adjusments could compensate for the color cast. Tried relocation of the monitor, using another computer, the defect was consistent in any environment.

Viewsonic replaced the monitor ( I was without for over a week as the transfer took place!) and the replacement monitor, while better, displays the same problem. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a monitor suitable for production photo work.

512MB Apple Ibook 2001 Pc100/sodimm Low Profile
Made by MEMORY UPGRADES

    Average review score:

    not for an iBook.
Although this is listed as iBook memory, mine (a dual-USB) doesn't recognize it. I've checked everything I know to check, and can narrow it down to one of two problems: just a bad chip, or (more likely) that it's not compatible. According to the Apple support website, "... some third-party RAM (memory) may no longer be recognized by the computer after installing the 4.1.7, 4.1.8, or 4.1.9 firmware updates for iBook."

    They describe the problem:

"When purchasing RAM modules for use in Macintosh computers, make sure that they conform to the JEDEC specification. Check with your memory vendor to ensure that the RAM module supports the correct timing modes and that their Serial Presence Detect (SPD) feature has been programmed properly, as called out in the JEDEC specification."

Since I couldn't easily locate the manufacturer (try doing a web search for "Memory Upgrades"!) or technical information on the chip... For whatever reason, it simply isn't working.

      I didn't find drivers for mac OS's
The description say "(PC/Mac)" but I did'n find anhywhere drivers for MAC OS's!
I wrote a e-mail to DR and they said:
"I have checked with everyone I can around here, no one has ever heard of a DRUSBmodem, in fact, DRT does not sell any modems."

      Bad product for MAC's

Bad card, bad support. Don't but it.
I've got the card to connect my Ipod (Win) and so far have been unsuccessful. It turns out that the card is not 100% OHCI compliant and windows keep scrashing every time I plugin iPod to its firewire port.

I would recomend to buy a true 100% OHCI (Open Host Controller Interface) compliant card.

        I'm returning this one.

Tell KB Gear to Jam IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the worst piece of crap since Ishtar the movie....At any price it would be too much. And to think it orginal sold for $69.99. One word of advice...do not buy this item for anyone over the age of five...anyone older would not enjoy it. 3 minutes of muffled sound, followed by crummy software, and a bably synced pair of lips. No wonder KB Gear is out of business....they suck!

          Painful to use
          * Took me 10 mins to figure out how it works. Not a very good design.

          * It is easy to lock it so that the combination indicator/arrow points downwards - which means you cannot see the combination to set to so that you can unlock it. If you land up in this situation, the only way is to lift the laptop along with the lock and set the combination to unlock the lock - while you are lifting the laptop.

I know - my second observation is hard to understand unless you actually experience it.

Dump this Kensington lock. Instead, go with the Targus DEFCON CL Cable Combination Lock.

My Bike is locked to my Rack with a malfunctioning lock
From the beginning I wondered why I always had to do the lock combination more than once to get it to work. I kept thinking it was my concentration or something. Then it started to jam right before the last number of the combination. I was on vacation and started to worry that I may lock it to a bike rack and not be able to get it off. Well that didn't happen, but it's still locked to my car bike rack.

I'll let you know how it goes. But right now, it's very inconvenient. The lock is totally not functioning and it was almost brand new. I'm just glad my bike is safe at home, although attached to the car rack and not useable until I figure out how to get this thing off.

            Do NOT buy these headphones!
When I opened the package, one of the leather ear cushions fell off. Luckily I was able to put in back on. Also, when I plugged them into my iPod, the sound was horrible. Then, the worst part of all, when utilized the noise-cancelling function, the internal microphone caused a horrible, witch screaming high pitch noise that was extremely painful to my ears. My ears hurt for over an hour after it occurred. Please save your money and do NOT buy these headphone. The earbuds that come with the iPod blow these away.

              total piece of junk
i have had this shoddy product for about a year and i have never once gotten a good picture either with a cable connection or an antenna. just static noises and a fuzzy screen. the software is awful, and none of the updates have improved it significantly. i have an ibook running 10.1.5, and the tuner requires an audio in, which ibooks and powerbooks dont have. you can send the sound to speakers, but then the recording option is useless because theres no audio. the housing for the product is also terrible- the ports move around when you try to plug in a cable and you can hear the card moving around. i would not recommend this product at all. the only reason i havent thrown it away is because it was given to me as a gift.
