Drains batteries in Fuji S7000I bought the memory yesterday and put it in my S7000. It's been less than 24 hours, and I have had to replace the batteries twice (I've taken about 10 pictures total with the camera turned off most of the time).
Other than that the memory seems to work fine in the camera.
Note, I cannot comment on other cameras as this is the only one I've tried the card in. I believe this is a known problem in the FujiFilm S7000 camera, that some compact flash cards cause battery drains -- this is one of those cards. If you're looking for a 512MB CF card, consider instead the Lexar 40X 512MB WA card (CF512-40-380) as this works fine in the camera. I've also found that a SimpleTech 512MB works fine.

- Scan 35 mm slides, filmstrips, or roll film without cumbersome holders
- Sharp 3,600 x 3,600 dpi optical resolution, 3.6 dynamic range
- 32-bit color, 12-bit grayscale
- Dual USB/IEEE 1394 interfaces
- PC and Mac compatible

Pacific Image PF3600ProMy original scanner was sent back to Pacific Image for replacement because it was loud and had trouble scanning film. Plus it was scratching the film. You could see scan lines at 3600 DPI.
The replacement just ate one of my strips of negatives and is also has a problem seeing scan lines at 3600 DPI. So now I wait for my second RMA.
It has the option of feeding strips up to 40 exposure of 35mm film or single slides. Forget the slides. It's a lousy slide scanner. Scans are way too dark.
My suggestion is to get a Nikon Coolscan IV or 4000. They cost about $ and $ respectively.

HorribleI followed the tech support format and emailed them. Giving them benefit of possibly being busy or email issues I emailed four times over four weeks from seperate servers. They do not respond through support.
Now the hardware failed, I repeated the email attempts with no response and have phone support three times in two weeks to give up in Cue after 45 minutes. No 1-800 number.
Now I have a very high phone Bill coming and a useless QPS device that I will eat also.
Please don't allow companies like this to thrive, which they all too commonly do in todays market.
Buy elsewhere.

Thanks for the ... antique!Well, when it arrived, I was aghast to see that it was ancient! It is -- get this -- SERIAL. The last time an Apple shipped with a serial port, Bill Clinton was savoring his re-election victory.
Now I need to buy an adaptor so I can actually use this beige hunk o-junk. If it cost me [more money] with shipping & taxes? No way.

Overpriced, under-performingMultiple prints are lightning-fast.
Black and white text prints or line drawings are beautiful.
The negatives:
-Noisy, and heating element is smelly.
-Frequent long, slow warmup periods.
-Terrible color-management & color matching.
-Terrible software settings frequently overridden by panel default settings.
-Awful color image resolution for photos even at highest settings w/ Xerox supplied papers.
-Terrible customer service.
-DON'T belive economical 'consumables' data - this burns it's very expensive toner much faster than advertised, on even simple prints. This is EXPENSIVE to own.
-At 8x the price, NOT laser quality - this is an LED printer.
-NO WHERE NEAR inkjet quality for photos.
-Frustrating to operate. If you're prone to yelling at badly designed inanimate objects, you'll chew the ears off of this printer.
-Lacks color management features and plug-ins that come standard even on the lowest of low-end cosumer printers.
BOTTOM LINE:
-If you want black-and-white speed, get a good laser printer with a fair amount of memory in it - it will be a lot cheaper and every bit as good.
-If you want color quality, get a good $500 Photo inkjet (Epson or Canon). This printer is an embarrasment w/color, especially photos.

Regardless of the warranty, repair means shipping off the monitor which causes costly downtime for a small business owner. I lose enough money in the downtime to buy half a dozen or more of these monitors. I expect hardware to last longer than a few months, especially NEC's since it's often costlier than other brands.
