3 out of 5 -- Great little case, small form factor.
I've banged the heck out of my case in just 5 months and it looks like it's been to the moon and back--but I just really seem to like this case. It's rugged, it's solid, and I feel confident having hard protection for the screen. My only gripe is the cheezy plastic belt clip. To use it, you have to screw a threaded knob into the back of the unit--and then attach the plastic clip to that. That's fine and dandy, but because that metal knob is a screw, it's prone to coming out. I've had my case take a few tumbles from my belt because the screw/knob had become unthreaded. I e-mailed customer support at Saunders and was told that's normal and to just use a pair of pliers to super-tighten the knob. Strange. Anyway--I used superglue on the screw threads to hold it tight--and haven't had any problems since--until today, where the entire plastic belt clip broke into 5 pieces and the case slid off my belt. I'm in the process of contacting customer support again to see if I'm in any position to get a replacement. Great case, but awkward/cheap belt clip design.

excellent case - perfect for the zire
This case is special made for the zire 71. It is made of durable aluminum and is very light in color. kinda like tin foil except much much harder.

The flap opens to the right... for some people this is counter-intuitive but i'm left-handed and had no problems. For right handed folks it may be a little awkward to open the cover and actually use it while holding it with the left hand.

The padding inside covers every area of the zire. The expose sections are for the IR, stylus, headphone jack and palm universal adapter. Yes, it does not charge in the cradle that it came with so i bought the boxwave mini-sync which is great for travelling. I recommend it if you buy this case. I can charge and sync while the pda is in the case.

it does get a lot of attention unlike a low-key leather case but then again, i can't put a leather case in my jeans pocket. this one i can w/o any worries.

warning, be careful when stuffing your hand into your pocket with this case in it... you might cut your finger on the edges. it's not because the edges are sharp... but they are made of metal... and don't take kindly to any force applied to it...

enjoy.

Good protection
I'm sure my palm will be well protected now if it gets run over by a truck. The case offers great protection, but there are a couple of draw backs. The case makes the overall mass of the unit pretty large. If you carry this in your pocket, it really sticks out. It does come with a belt clip, but who wants to carry something that big on they're belt? Why not switch to a PDA phone then? Watch your fingers too! This thing clamps shut pretty good and can pinch your fingers! It will not fit on a Palm cradle for charging.
It is the best protection out there for the Zire 71. It's nice to be able to slide the camera out of the case, but you have to watch out not to slid the whole Palm out of the case. It is well secured in the protective case, but it can be pushed out when flipping up the camera part.
In the long run, I would recommend this case over all the other's because of it's sturdiness. It's the best protection for your Zire 71! :-)

awsome bag great room
i loved the bag it has alot of room it was great buy and if i had to get another bag i would get the same one!!! it holds everything and it looks really good too. bye this bag if u want to take good care of your portable DVD player.

Just the Right Size!
I was looking for a case for my portable DVD player, but so many of them were big and bulky. I wanted to be able to stash it in my tote bag that I carry onto the plane. I finally found this one. It is the perfect size. My 9 inch Panasonic fits perfectly in it and is held securely by a velcro strap. Another compartment has room for several DVDs. I'm going to get another one for my daughter's portable player.

Perfect case for larger portable DVD players
We bought the 9" Toshiba portable DVD player for the car and needed a case. This one is ideal with plenty of room for cords, DVD's, player, etc. Very sturdy with a built-in velcro strap to secure it. It is probably too large for 6" and under players.

OK at best
It has everything I thought it would, but it's a bit flimsy and not as wide as I'd hoped. I thought it would be the same size as a date book it's actually the same length only not as wide. There are plenty of pockets though. Sorry about the two stars, but I'm a quality freak and I don't think this lives up.

Good for the first month
The case definitely helped organize my wallet- there's a place for everything but the checkbook. However, if you have too many plastic cards for the cardholder, you might want to think twice. I've had this case for about 2 months, and a few weeks ago, the lining behing the cards started ripping, I'm assuming because of being so full.

Now that's either a sign of thin lining fabric, or of too many credit cards- but my wallet shouldn't be the one punishing me for that.

Nice organizer
This is a nice organizer. I received the organizer 8 days after the order was placed. Excellent value for the money.

Piece of Junk to the 10th power
I have a client running 8 of these drives by La Cie and they have replaced 6 of them within 1 year of purchase. They are not designed to be left running 24/7 because they overheat. My client has lost years worth of data due to the failure rate. What's with using Firewire still anyway? Get a FN clue La Cie and put a fan inside and lose the firewire, fricken MAC lovers.

OK kind of drive
I purchased it from my University Book-Store and could not return it as they had "no return" policy on opened products. The problem I face with this drive is the heavy weight ( more than 3 pounds ) and the need to attach power cord with adaptor. All this makes the hard drive not so portable. I would rather go for something which fits in my pocket and is USB powered.

Solid, easy drive
I really like the versatility and ease of use of this drive. It is a little heavy to be used as a truly portable drive, but if you're just gonna be occasionally carting it around, it works great. I use it for video editing, and the seek times are actually better than my internal HD.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that I had to format it before I could use it the first time. The computer recognized it automatically as soon as I plugged it in, but I couldn't use it until I formatted (which is a simple two-click operation, but kinda annoying because you then have to wait half an hour before you can use your drive). I'm using Windows XP - I've heard Mac users say they were ready to go immediately.

All in all a great drive. Planning to pick up the 200-GB version for video archiving - I heard the cases stack together easily, so we'll see.

Good idea. Well made. No warranties or guarantees. Expense
I recently bought this accessory for my S400. I didn't buy it from Amazon, but I should have since it's cheaper here. I was so excited to test it to make sure it doesn't leak before I put my expensive camera in it. I read the manual and filled the WP-dc800 with toilet paper for a test. I then stuck the camera housing into a sink full of water and let it soak for a while. I pressed all the well-built little buttons and levers underwater to make sure that every seal was water tight. When I took the item out and inspected it, everything checked out ok and the toilet paper was dry as a bone, just like I want my camera when I take this thing snorkeling later this summer. They ask a little much for this accessory and they don't offer any type of warranty with it at all. They warn you enough times in the manual not to let even a strand of hair interrupt the waterproof seal or it may leak on your camera, but they never tell you what to do if this item is faulty and floods your precious camera inside. I doubt Ill have any issues with it and it stood up to my tests at home. The WP-DC800 appears to be a solid product. I like how the buttons perfectly align to the buttons on the S400. Every feature is accessible while the housing is on your camera except, of course, removing the battery or CF card. The lens is double plated, anti-condensation glass. It attracts fingerprints like a magnet though. IT also comes with some sealant goop, a wrist strap and a cool Canon neck strap that shows the world how eccentric you are with your digital camera housing.
What I don't like about the WP-DC800 is the large part on the front that makes the item more huge than it has to be. This is for the added diffuser plate feature for your flash. It makes the WP-DC800 seems a little bulky
What I dont like about the WP-DC800 is the large part on the front that makes the item more huge than it has to be. This is for the added diffuser plate feature for your flash. It makes the WP-DC800 seems a little bulky. The realease to open the unit is a little hard to open. There is a push button that you hold while pulling on the top. I always fear that I might break the thing, but at least there is no worry that it will open underwater.

I love it!
I was a little scared to try this out after reading some of the horror stories posted around the 'net about it leaking. . . .

Well, just to be on the safe side, we got some insurance for our new S500, then stuck it in this housing and took it on multiple dives over a week.

I'm happy to report that it worked flawlessly!!!

Now I just need to save up for an underwater strobe. . . . .

Solid Product-Underwater YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!
I am an experienced scuba diver with some experience in underwater photography. I bought this housing on a lark, because I had the camera and wanted something small to take along when I wasn't diving for photography but wanted to take some snaps.

*WITH THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS AND CHECKS* I found this case worked and was easy to use. I definitely recommend it.

The warning is:
* TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS
* MAKE THE PROPER PRE-DIVE CHECKS
* YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN
* GET FLOODING INSURANCE OR DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES

I was advised from the beginning to take a course on underwater camera maintenance and use, and to get flooding insurance. I still accept that despite my best efforts, I'll get flooding. The insurance will protect me. You *cannot* assume that a manufacturer will warranty an underwater housing against leakage. It's not possible. Even a tiny bit of sand on an O-ring can cause a leak, and at 60 feet the leak will let in water at twice atmospheric pressure.

Fancy underwater housings for $1000+ cameras are *not* warranted against flooding. Don't expect that a $170 housing will be. Don't blame manufacturers for your complete lack of knowledge and experience in a very specialized photographic discipline that most divers take years to learn.

Get flooding insurance. Learn how to protect your camera. Test the housing. Ask other divers.

The only possible limitation is that the rated depth is only 100 feet. But considering this housing is only $170, and an Ikelite pro-level housing is $500+, this little gem is a great deal.

Not for Visor Prism
This is a nice little case - compact and holds the Visor nicely in the plastic clips. When I owned the Visor Neo, it was indispensable. Unfortuneately, when I upgraded to the Visor Prism, I no longer had a use for it. I was hoping to find one with the slim design and plastic clips that perfectly conform to the Visor, but I just ended up with another one of these that had been mislisted as being for the Prism. Ask questions before you buy if looking for the Prism model!

Snazzy leather
This is a great item to protect your Handspring Visor's screen, but unless it is the only item in your purse or briefcase, it's going to get banged around and your PDA will not be protected from dust.

Every time I pull mine out of my purse, it's covered with lint from tissues or one of the other 9 million items I've got flying around in there. The slot for the stylus is not secure as it is in the Handspring itself, so if you put a stylus in there, chances are that it will fall out and be buried in the bottom of your handbag.

The leather is supple and fine quality, but if I was going to look for a new cover/protector for my Handspring, I would get one that would enclose it completely and protect it from dust, moisture and jostling.

Warning is NOT for all Handspring Visors
This is a nice case but it is not advertised correctly. The ad states that it fits all Visor Handhelds, it does not, and it clearly states this on the box. Do not buy this case if you own a Visor Edge (as I do) or the Vison Prism

Cut off the belt!
I cut off the weird belt... Now I can slip my own belt through the little slits put in the case (on either side) for headphone access. It is a bit fiddly but works fine. The case is nice and small (compared to other CD player carrying cases) and now I don't feel so conspicuous when I wear it.

Small belt
Be sure of your waistline dimensions when you order this item. The length of the belt should be disclosed so those with mature figures don't order something that has to be worn around the neck.

A positive review
I jog with two dogs so hand-holding my CD Walkman is not an option. In the past I've carried cassette Walkmen in my pocket, and dropped them regularly. When I purchased my first CD Walkman I wanted a better way, and this CD Carrying Case is it. The unit fits snugly in the case and the belt fits snugly around my waist. The unit is secure, and if I ever do drop it (which has not happened yet) there is an extra layer of padding. The downside is that all controls are inaccessible except the start/stop button. I solve that problem by setting the various controls in advance, hitting the Hold button to lock them in and prevent accidental change, and using headphones with volume control on the cords.

As to the looks, who cares? I mean, if you're serious about exercise you're out there in a ragged tee shirt and shorts, your hair's a mess, you're covered in sweat and you smell bad. You're not going to win any beauty contests with or without a carrying case.

I was expecting the kit
I wasn't aware when I ordered this that I would also need more and should have ordered the kit.
As far as the label material and the way it looks after printing onto the label, it looks great....but wish I would have know to order the whole kit.

Well earned 4 stars
I must say I have had few problems with the "Fellowes NEATO CD/DVD Labels." I haven't used many different types of lables so my 4 stars could be based on ignorance. Basically they do what they say they do: You burn a CD, you print a picture on the lable, and then you put the lable on the CD. (My favorites include pictures of national parks, fantasy style battles/dragons, and various other scenery.) I haven't had them cause a CD to not work. Good product. Good price.

100% Satisfied.
I have used other brand name labels and find this one to be the best so far. Good quality...perfect thickness, stick well, no smudges or smears. They work well with my CD burning program. I didn't have to buy another program in order to use these labels. (As someone else stated in another review.)
