The beautiful metal surface of the iPod scratches just sitting on the desk (I'm not kidding). The Jam Jacket does the job of protecting the iPod surface but it's ugly. Plastic wrap (also called cling wrap, seran wrap, glad wrap) provides an alternative handy cover. It can be wrapped around the body, leaving the top and bottom open. The keys are touch sensitive through the plastic and it fits inside the carry case that comes with the 20 and 40Gb. It's not an elegant solution, but it's cheap while you find a functional case that has some style to it.

The Jam Jacket is just a rubber jacket that is supposed to mold around your Ipod. Don't waste your money, unfortunatly I already did. I mainly needed a cover for the Ipod that will cover the screen to eleminate scratches; the Jam Jacket does no such thing, it barely fits. Everytime that I even touch my Ipod, I have to resituate the jacket to line up with the screen and buttons. The Jam Jacket gets 1 star from me because of it's crappy material, lousy fit, ugly color, zero screen protection, and being a more of a pain in the ass than useful!

I own a case just like this but a different color. It's a great case. Totally protects your iPod from any damage. Even a little squishy in case you drop it.

As mentioned in a previous review, these cases simply cannot be taken apart. To clarify, the tray where you would put a CD will crack (best case scenario) or completely shatter (more likely) the very first time you try to open the case. I tried opening many - each one was damaged regardless of how quickly or carefully I tried. I even spend five minutes on one - being as careful and slow as humanly possible and it still cracked in multiple locations.

Unless you just want a case that you will never open or you don't care if your CD cases are cracked and damaged, I would wholeheartedly recommend you NOT by this product. In fact, I have to say shame on Maxell for putting such an inherently defective product on the market.

This type of jewel case cannot be taken apart, so therefore you can't put what was the original back cover of a CD into the back area of the jewel case. As far as CDs you burn yourself, you also won't be able to put a back cover of you own making into this type of jewel case. These cases are made where you simply cannot take them apart.

A clear disc tray is a lot more brittle than a less rigid solid color plastic one. This will require that you take extra care to remove the clear tray from the back of the jewel case.

This can be done by very gently twisting the two pieces apart near the spine that has the hinge. You pull the back of the jewel case from the tray with your thumb and that allows the popping up of the disc tray one corner at a time, which you then slowly pull off at an angle. (Never try to just quickly yank the clear disc tray directly off the back.) Once I mastered this little trick the cases have given me no trouble at all.

I tried using these CD's with the Philips Jackrabbit CD-Rewriter and they don't work.

Don't waste your money on these CD-RW discs. They don't work on all high speed labeled CD-RW drives. Won't work on (name brand) Creative Labs high speed CD-RW drive. Works some on NEC drive, but if you record music on them they "lock up" and and won't allow you to re-write the disk again, it just shows disk error when you try to erase it. I have had no problems with other brands of high speed CD-RW media from Yamaha or Imation.

These worked well for my cd-r drive which is a 12x10x32 Lite-on. Mine burns cd-rw @ 10x and it works at that speed. Pretty good! Of course, almost all cd-rw disks read at much slower speeds than cdr disks. Most of the time cd-rw read at 8x (depending on your drive). Most cd-rw drives do not specify the speed at which it reads cd-rw, if your doesn't, it's probably reading cd-rw's @ 8x. These memorex disks are the first CD-RW disks with both, 700MB capacity AND high speed 4-12X. If you have a drive that supports higher than 12x, you should purchase memorex's "Ultra high speed" cd-rw which allow writing @ 12-24X. They come in red box instead of blue.

I need a case for my Zire 31...so ive been looking around and recently came upon this little gem...

ok, not really a gem. actually, a piece of cheap, cheap plastic that has a piece of velcro inside. Who wants to stick a piece of velcro to their pda? Not me! Can you imagine how uncomfortable that would end up being, holding your pda and feeling the velcro on your palm (excuse the pun) all of the time? Honestly.

Dont buy this...dont even think about it. I moved on after seeing it with my own two eyes...dont take your chances.

It is way too expensive for what you get...i mean, although it is called "hard case" there is nothing hard about the plastic. It seems really flimsy.

I was using the original black case and was annoyed with it. The PDA turned on and off when it was inside the case because the joystick was pressed and the power button was exposed. Then I decided to try the Palm hard case but it didn't fulfill my expectations-I am returning it.

Pros:
- Keeps the PDA well protected.
- Avoids constant turnings on and off while in the case.
- Looks very cool.

Cons:
- When opened it is very bulky.
- The attaching system is awful. Very uncomfortable when detaching the PDA every time I need to Hotsync. This is the strongest con.
- It is difficult to access the stylus.
- Cannot plug the headphones when the PDA is in the case.

That was the only thing that surprised me when it showed up. it looks like it could be something else from the picture. Maybe that was just me, I have seen palm cases that look like some type of metal but now that I have gotten used to it I am glad it is plastic. It protects my Zire, it fits perfectly and has the coordinating colors if thats what you are into. Its pretty affordable I have seen it as low as $10 and you would want to spend at least that to protect your palm. Not crazy about the velcro attachment but at least it is detachable.

I bought this product only to find out that it is way too small to fit a mini disc player. It fits only very small MP3 players, but would never fit a mini disc player.

It's pretty and made of a really good material. However it's too small for a minidisc player, maybe could be fine for a mp3 but not for my sony minidisc player

I give this a one star rating and no Title because I have not been able to use it. It says that it is not compatable with Windows NT... I dont have NT or 2000 for that matter. I wanted to get it for a lil extra security, so I can take the big ugly chassis locks off of my computer... I got it for $19.95 as well......

I'M SURE THIS IS A GOOD PRODUCT.BUT I HAVE WINDOWS "ME" AND IT WILL NOT RUN WITH WINDOWS "ME".IT WILL RUN WITH WINDOWS '95,'98 AND '98SE,BUT NOT "ME".IT NEEDS CERTAIN DOS FEATURES THAT "ME" DOESN'T HAVE.THE TECH SUPPORT AT CURTIS WAS VERY GOOD,SO I'M SURE THIS WILL WORK AS STATED.

This case is advertised by HP as fitting the TC1100 tablet without the keyboard (slate only). That is not correct. The plastic hooks in this case are designed for the keyboard and will not fit the slate.

Amazon's photos of the case show that the hooks are "T" shaped, similar to the hooks found in the HP case that came with the TC1100. These "T" shaped hooks will only secure the keyboard; the slate will slip out easily.

I think its a good product with good materials but it's big for the ipaq 1900 series. I also have a HP jornada 545 and the case is perfect for that big pocket pc. Maybe targus can do another small case.!!!.

Comes with no documentation of wiring, or bracket and hardware layout. So you are left to guess what the designed intended.

Its ok if you don't mind fiddling around.

I got this bag for my 14" iBook. I'm a fan of quality and love well made products. I looked at Brenthaven's website and decided they were all about quality and that the $80 price for the Mobility 1 was well justified.

I was wrong. First I will concede that this bag is made with good materials, built to hold up to heavy use, and does in fact shield a laptop very well. HOWEVER, at $80 there are some serious design flaws that keep this bag from being really cool.
1. Bag is perpetually lopsided. When loaded with a laptop this thing will never stand up on a table top (flat surface) etc.
2. With this lopsided-ness the carrying handle becomes twisted in your hand whenever you use it. It's too thin and flimsy.
3. Now put the bag on your shoulder and it's still lopsided, but if you're talented you can make it work.
4. You can't remove the shoulder strap, and it doesn't have "swivel" hardware to keep it from getting all twisted up.
5. The front strap that holds the clasp for closing the front flap of the bag is not adjustable. This means if the bag isn't stuffed full the front flap can't be cinched tight. This adds even more to the bag's lopsidedness.

It appears Brenthaven rushed this bag to market in response to Apple's request for a small laptop bag. While it will protect your machine, you'll soon be pestered by its many design flaws.

Yes this case looks nice and it has nice quality. However the felt inside really rubs into your ipod and stains it. It leaves an ugly black smear streaked across it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!
