Opened the package, read the short manual once, then followed the manual for installation. I used the included RCA cord also to connect the device to my Sony stereo. I then rebooted the computer, and then installed the included software. Made the proper changes in the Control panal, and tested it. It worked flawlessly. It completed eliminated the 'hum' that I was previously getting when connecting my stereo (Sony STR-DE845) to my Creative Soundblaster card on my Dell Dimension 4400 windows XP. This stereo is the amp for my surround sound, television, phono player, DVD, VCR. All distortion, hum, buzz, whatever you wanted to call it, was eliminated. And I had tried several different methods. An excellent device, worth every penny.

Lots of people complain about the prescott's heat output, but frankly it's no where near the worst processor I've had. I'm running with two standard fans - not special high output fans mind you - running the stock intel heatsink (not special heatsinks mind you), and the machine stays up with no problem. Can't say the same about amd MPs - special sinks, special fans (far more than 2), and still has problems if you don't do it right. Use the standard intel fan/sink, take comfort in the intel warranty, and stop whining.

This motherboard is the best because is comparate with the pentium IIII at 2,2 ghz.

I just got a new Intel board and put this chip in, and man does this system fly! 533 Mhz FSB. Fan comes with it and the thermal dope is right on the heat sink, you just clip it in.

Dude, this processor rox!! Buy it!! cant beat 533mhz bus. A quad pump 133mhz FSB is vicious!

I've had this microdrive for a few months and have not had any problems. Works great on my three computers WindowsXP laptop, Windows98 desktop and Macintosh desktop. On Windows98 I use a USB hub - and there is still enough power for the drive! Microdrives are better than those ancient floppies or zip disks and it's a zillion times faster than burning CD-RWs. I only wish I had gotten more than 128 megs...

I got a Harmony Universal Remote yesterday, and in a matter of about 30 minutes it was controlling every remote-controllable device in my apartment. Those of you who know what a gadget-freak I am know that is a huge feat. In addition to the usual DVD, CD, TV, a/v receiver and VCR I have an X Box, ReplayTV PVR, and an Audiotron digital music server. This thing controls them all flawlessly.

All you do is go to a website, enter your devices' model numbers, and answer some questions (in a wizard format) about how you have things hooked up and how you want them to work. Then you hook the remote to your PC with the provided USB cable and your PC programs the remote for you. You can even blast TV listings into the remote itself, or if you have a CD jukebox, you can load the names of the CDs into the remote. In my case I can load my mp3 play lists into the remote and start them playing on my music server with the touch of a button.

The remote works off of a concept of "Activities" such as "Watch a DVD" or "Listen to the Radio". There are a few one touch activity buttons, and a "More Activities" button which will list more activities on the screen for you to choose.

When you select an activity, it turns all the right components on and off and sets everything up for that activity based on how you told it you wanted it to work. If something isn't quite right, you hit the help button and the remote asks you questions to determine how it should behave differently in the future.

It is unbelievable how easy it was to set up and to use. Anyone could pick it up and do anything with my system now, completely intuitively. When my girlfriend got home, I tossed her the new remote and she was navigating the entertainment center with out me saying anything.

Windows XP reecognizes immediately the hard drive when you plug in via USB and so you're ready to go immediately.
The annoyance is that the device comes pre-formatted FAT32, resulting in multiple Drive Letters as FAT32 can't cope with such capacity.
So the trick is to use your computer management and then disk management to remove all drive letters and then reformat (quick) the whole device in NTFS format. Then a single drive with almost 120 Gb: Not bad !!
PS: You can not reverse to FAT32 afterwards and every data previously stored will be erased ! So if you wanna do this, do it immediately when getting the device
