Good intermediate DV Cam
1st choice after lots of research!PROS:
- Compared to several sony dv cameras it has better/more responsive zoom, much better focus, and better/sharper/clearer LCD
- JVC and Cannon reviews left a lot to be desired and hands-on Sony didn't compare although they are a little smaller
- Very comfortable to hold/use -- buttons are well-placed and easy to understand
- Very simple to hook up to TV or computer to review (I recently got windows XP and it works like a dream using firewire *must purchase separate* and the associated software)
- Battery that comes with camera has lasted w/o fail...ran out of tape first!
- MPEG capability is great and all you do is hook up to computer, download and email...super easy
- Still shots recorded on tape do record about 5 sec of sound then camera continues filming
CONS:
- Instruction manual is easy to use for basic camera operation but was no help in advising on downloading to computer
You will find lots of reviews on the 252 but 352 is better resolution, comes with a flash, and a few other extras (compare closely).
I suggest getting a UV filter for lens to protect it (352 comes w/Leica Dicomar lens) a nice camera bag to protect your investment, a firewire to download, and if you don't use windows XP & aren't computer savvy, research hooking up & downloading...my desktop has windows 98 and I (novice) couldn't get it to work (too many periphials etc I think).
Last 2 suggestions...1)buy online and shop around b/c there are cheaper prices out there (I challenged Amazon on their price today b/c I got it much cheaper so watch their price the next few days); and 2) go to an electronic store first to touch/feel/examine the hardware before you buy...many online stores (esp w/cheaper prices) have a shorter return period.
Thanks for reading!

Light weight -- Big soundI was really surprised how good it is. There's an ocean of different sound options and it takes a while to wade through them. Result: really clean sound, but don't even think about using it without a sub-woofer in multi-channel modes. The bass and treble controls only work in 2 channel stereo mode. I found this mode useful for FM radio when I didn't really want the woofer pounding away.
OK.. the bottom line here is lots of clean sound but a little bright -- choose your speakers carefully (Paradigms sound great). The sound has a hint of "digital" -- not as "warm" as a good conventional receiver. You will need to play with it for a few days before you realize the sound you want.... but there seems like dozens of different options -- good thing your settings are remembered. I do miss the equalizers on my big Sony.
Great Sound! Almost enough volume to make your ears bleed -- gets a little compressed at very high volume, but no distortion (I didn't drive it high enough to see if it would start clipping). I won't miss the massive heat produced by my old receiver... and my electric bill will surely be a lot less. No doubt you'll see a lot more digital receivers in the future.
I love it!The Harman Kardon AVR125 that I had sounded 'warmer', but not as detailed or clean.
I also thought this sounded slightly better than the SA-XR25.

MarvelousI added subwoofer yamaha ( yst-sw105) to add more bass and my experience with this system is marvelous.
I would recomend this purchase.
A thunder sound for this sizePros : Good and powerfull sound for the two ways speakers

This is my favorite toyOM-4. Not that this other cameras are bad. but this pentax is such a joy to operate, It's lite, exposure is very acurate, you need to to feel and look through the viewfinder to experience the ease of functionality. I recomend this camera to anyone how loves to take photos as much as I do.
One of the very best from a long trusted brandFor the price you will be paying to get a ZX-L you are really getting a great bargain for an all-around well built camera. Don't take my word for it, go to your local camera shop and review it or go online to find out more about this camera from other Pentax owner, I'm sure you'll find it hard to beat a bargain like this.

Top notch machine changes my life dailyThis is how my life changed since I bought this machine, which is a little termperamental about what CDs it will record but is otherwise trustworthy and steadfast. It has not broken down in six years of continuous use and has allowed me to burn 250 of my own CDs and another 100 or so for my friends from CDs, records, tapes and even 8 tracks. It won't turn a sow's ear into a silk purse sonically but it gives me more control over the final product than any prior machine I used while making cassettes and CDs the past 30 years.
As a person that buys 30 CDs a month and sells about half that number, I have high expectations for my music library. This machine allows me to create CDs with Anton Bruckner, Jack Bruce and Nat King Cole mixed in or whatever fits my mood. I'm sorry Philips discontinued this model but am pleased to say they still offer live technical advice over on their web site.
It gave me everything I wanted

Awsome MP3 player1-easy to use
2-great sound
3-good looking
4-does what it is suposed to do
5-Its Awsome!
ExcellentPROS:
- very durable magnesium body (great improvement over plastic!)
- excellent sound, and LOUD.
- the built-in USB port is very handy, and it's great not to bother with cables. I have used mine in both Windows XP and Windows 2000 without having to install the software at all. It's recognized as just another drive and automatically installs itself.
- easy drag and drop file transfers.
- holds roughly 15 songs at 128k. (I like the smaller size because I'm usually never far away from my computer for long enough to warrant huge memories like the iPod, etc., and it makes the files easier to manage.)
- it doubles as a 2nd hard drive, which I never really thought I would use but boy have I ever! It has essentially replaced my floppy drive and is very convenient.
- it has an internal battery and recharges itself when plugged into the computer. Internal lasts about 6 hours, and the external battery adaptor with a AAA lasts about 10 hours.
CONS:
- the in-cord remote control takes some time to get used to. Buttons on the player itself would have been much more convenient.
- the earbuds are strange to deal with (though they produce good sound), but using the in-cord remote with a pair of regular headphones leave you with a huge length of cord to drag around.
- no LCD, but with just a small amount of songs, it's not really necessary.
Overall a wonderful little player. Highly Recommended!

- Portable and rechargeable
- 600-foot range and superior sound (900 MHz)
- Out-of-range indicator
- 2 channels for reduced interference
- Includes 2 power adapters
