Buy Xerox ink cartridges instead of clones. Here's why...Unfortunately, I discovered that the REAL difference is the ink itself, and it really matters. The ink in the clone cartridges suffered from two serious problems that made it a really bad buy: 1) It's way too watery, and so it causes the paper in solid colored areas to get wavy, and 2) It dries far too slowly, so while the Xerox cartridges can print, say, text on a light grey background, trying that with the clone cartridges resulted in the text bleeding badly with the background, becoming almost unreadable.
Learn from my mistake - the Xerox cartridges are worth the difference, and Amazon's price seems pretty good. I'm only buying real Xerox ink cartridges for my M940 from now on...

A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY PRESENT!Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo doubt this is the best keyboard, or should I call it "Digital Piano", that YAMAHA's ever made. It's incredible how it sounds, so you'd like to check out the audio samples on YAMAHA's page, www.yamaha.com
COME ON!
Tremendous InstrumentWhat interested me in the Yamaha DGX500 was the educational software included since I'd been away from the piano for several years. Plus having 88 keys to play Jazz was also an added bonus. ....
Once assembled, I turned on the instrument & amazed at the sound from a digital piano ... It has a beautiful blue LCD display that indicates both treble & bass clef & also shows all the keys on the piano so when you play you can instantly see where each key is & what note you are playing. Also included are over 200 songs (complete w/sheet music) that can be easily learned via the display. The educational software makes learning (or re-learning) music fun since it can teach you right hand-left hand techiques, timing, etc.
All in all this instrument is well worth the money even if you pay retail ...P>If you are an inspiring student or someone like me who took a hiatus from playing, take a serious look at this piano before choosing a more expensive instrument.

- 80 GB server supports wireless music transmission to anywhere in the home
- Communicates with MCX-A10 digital audio clients
- Functions as high-quality CD recorder with CD-R/RW compatibility
- CD-MP3 playback for high-quality music compilations
- Built-in CD recognition database and easy-to-use graphical interface

Another TIVOUsing it is also so straightforward that my kids were able to use it after only a couple of minutes of coaching...they all have their own playlists now which they just love. I actually moved out of my house for a remodel project and set it up in the temporary housing without incident. Also I've gone through one product firmware upgrade and the addition of one "client" also without incident. I have two "clients" in the house and they kids love the ability to play their playlists at the same time in two different rooms.
A couple of things to note...you really need a TV monitor hooked to the server to effectively navigate the menus to do anything more than "play" or "record" (which most people will likely do anyway). Also be aware of the "recording" and "burning" rules/constraints before buying so your expectations are set appropriately if you like to "burn" playlists to CD's for use on portable devices.
