The AMD processor is much cheaper than the pentium and runs just as well, if not, better. It took me some time to put it in, it won't be easy for someone new to computer hardware. It was a good upgrade from my AMD Athlon XP 2400+.

Great processor if you want the fastest PC. Out benches all P4's even the 3.2GHz running backwards in 32bit mode

AMD's Athlon XP is an amazing processor. The architecture is so superior to Intel's Pentium 4 that in this particular case, it runs 1.60GHz, which is 300 MHz slower than Intel's P4 1.90GHz,and yet it still crushes the P4 1.90GHz in most everyday tasks. That is why AMD was forced to call it a 1900+, because even though it is 300MHz slower, it performs BETTER than Intel's Pentium 4 1.9GHz. Pretty impressive.

I am a big fan of AMD becuase they sell great processors at afforable prices. The only reason that Intel has lowered their prices is due to the efforts of AMD. It is simple competition that drives dowb the price. The Duron whicj was the "cheap chip" has become a better chip than the Celeron could ever be; even when the Celeron has a faster bus speed. The Duron's L2 Cache and graphics capabilities are only matched and exceeded by the Athlon Xp chips. I used to have a 1200 mhz Duron before I upgraded to an Athlon, and it was great.The only reason I upgraded was to prepare for War Craft 3 ( SO im a gamer, I admit it, lol). I never had any problem, but I have heard that a minimun of 300 watt power supply is needed and 350 watt or more recommended. My friend has had one for the past four months and had no problems at all and he can keep up with the Athlon when it comes to large on line gaming. The Duron is an excellent buy for the first time computer buyer or a second computer for the home. Getting a Duron now and an Athlon a year later is a great way to save money and advance your computer experience.

Set up a Photoshop workstation with this board, one Opteron 244 processor, and four 512MB Buffalo registered PC2700 dimms. Well... this setup works wonderfully. Can't believe it has processor rated at only 1.8GHz speed; really shows how memory bandwith is most important, not clock speed when processing large files.

If you want only one cpu buy (148 model) beacuse (2) stands for support for 2 cpus, if you put 2 cpus in 148 model in motherboard it will not work. You must buy 248 model for Dual CPU.

This product makes it so much easier testing ATX power supplies. It definately beats trying to fumble with probes to test each individual line. This product has yet to not correctly diagnose any power supplies I have tested. I think this product is a great value for the price.

This is a nice product if you want USB connections on the front of your computer and don't have them. Make sure that your motherboard has a 10 pin connector to hook it to before you order. Works great with my ASUS A7V8X motherboard...

These are great little toys. Why just deck out your computer with LEDs when you can add some effects to your desk too? They have a cool adjustable sound-sensitive effect that causes them to flash with the beat of your music, a great effect if you're a DJ or you just enjoy listening to MP3s. The overall brightness is nice, but the total length of the USB cord isn't too long (about 5 feet). I use a USB hub just for these lighting effects (for a total of 4) and people tell me how cool they are all the time.

I bought mine on NewEgg for only 5 bucks, but this deal isn't bad either. The only big draw back is the sound-sensitive mode that could be stronger, but still works great. I highly, highly suggest this product. I also suggest you get the longer stick also made by Antec.

I really had no intentions of buying a new case for my Athlon XP system until this one practically hit me in the face while surfing the net. The cool styling caught my attention instantly, and after checking the spec's at the Antec website and reading some of the reviews out there on this baby, I knew I had to have one.

This case is built like a Mac truck, very solid heavy gauge metal. Not cheap & flimsy like most other cases out there. The drives "snap in" from the front with side rails, and it comes standard with a relatively quiet 300W P4 ready power supply & an 80mm case fan.

This case is only about a 1/2" taller than my previous ATX case, but I guess that was enough to bring my CPU temp down another 4 degrees under the same conditions (horizontally mounted PS, rear mounted case fan, etc.). Now maybe that doesn't sound like much of a temp difference to the average user, but most Athlon builders will do just about anything to lower their CPU temps by another 2-3 degrees (ever hear of water cooling - yikes!!).

If you can afford a couple of extra bucks for a really nice case, I HIGHLY recommend this one. I am sure that you will not feel the little extra money you spent was wasted.

I really doubt I'll be looking to upgrade from this one........until they change the ATX standard anyway.
