Kentuky fried switch
I bought the predecessor to this switch (the PN108ES) and it literally went up in smoke - a chip near the power jack burned to the point where it melted itself off the PCB. I've been hesitant to buy another Hawking switch...

    check carefully
I have this camera and it is in the box. It is an ok camera but I had so much trouble finding a memory card that I gave up not to mention the flash burnt up 1 hour after I had it out of the box, also I could not figure out out how to work the inet button which is supposed to connect you to the internet. I contacted Polaroid because the user manual said nothing about it. Polaroid said that they had discontinued this camera and all of the models they had were reformatted to be used the same as the pdc 640 cameera and the inet button had been disabled and was of no use exceot as a review button for pictures. So check carefully with Polaroid before buying. I now own a PDC 64o ptotmax and it is great for point and shoot and has more features that this camera including a tv out so you can view pictures from your camers on you tv, the picture quality is better and the price is much cheaper. CHECK CAREFULL AND SEE IF THEY HAVE RECONTINUED THE MODEM IN THESE CAMERAS BEFORE BUYING IT SO YOU DON'T PAY FOR SOMETHING YOU DON GET.

    Mouse Trouble
This KVM works as expected except for two problems. Sometimes the mouse will stop working for me as if I was to unplug and the replug the mouse from the machine. I guess there is a slight glitch in the electrical connection when the KVM switches between computers. It's really annoying because when this happens you must reboot the computer to get the mouse functionality back. Also, this KVM beeps a couple of times when you switch between computers. I have not been able to turn this feature off and I would rather just have a silent KVM switch. But, it isn't a complete piece of crap. Most of the time it does it's job ok.

Also note that the KVM does not come with a power supply. Theoretically it can draw all of it's power from the PS/2 keyboard connection of the computers. But, in practice I've found that not all computers are able to deliver enough power. You may have to buy a 5V-9V DC power adapter of your own, I did.

      Modem great, cord is terrible.
Installation was easy and it seems to work perfectly. However, the cord is a pain. It has a lously little connector that easily gets pulled out of the socket if you brush up against it, and that happens really often since the cord is only 3' long and its always hanging in mid air. This is a really crappy design and a pain to work with, I am going to switch to another brand.

        Deceptive marketing
One of the two reasons I purchased this modem was to try the Modem-on-hold capability of V.92 technology. (It is clearly marked on the box as a selling point.) What is missing is the NetWaiting utility. After 5 days and four e-mails to tech support, I was finally informed that the software for the Modem-on-hold does not exist and that they are working on a beta.

It delivers faster connnectivity and speeds higher thatn 56K but if you want the modem-on-hold, go elsewhere.

        Battery dies quickly
This looks the same, and fits the S330 which I have, but dies a quick death compared to the original Canon battery. The price is great, but you need at least 2 of them to equal the 1 Canon battery, so it's really no deal at all. I am very disappointed at the performance of this battery. I bought 2 and I regret it.

        It runs out too soon.
I purchased this battery as a back up for my Cannon NB-1LH Battery Pack but it ran out so quick within one hour. If you're looking for a back up battery for your camera, please don't buy this one. You will be very disappointed.

        Don't buy this battery
I bought this battery because it claims to be compatable with the Canon S330 camera. We'll the battery doesn't fit the camera without shoving it into the camera, which will probably result in long term damage to your camera. Stick with pure Canon products.

        Not Ready for Prime Time
Wireless functionality for Palm is still a hit-and-miss game (at least with the MIK and Palm Vx). You may or may not have much success in getting the connectivity you seek, depending on the vagaries of your ISP, your wireless phone, and the actual site you're trying to connect to. My recommendation is to wait another year or two before pursuing this. By the way, Palm itself provides almost no support for this product.

        Very limited features
I Purchased this item hoping that it would allow me to get both home and work E-mail (using Psion 56k Travel modem). The modem works great, but ...

The feature set list is misleading. It states that one can access POP3 "accounts". Bun in reality one can only access one account with the MultiMailPro 2.26 provided in MIK. Also, upgrades are not allowed on this version of MultiMailPro. One must make a new purchase to get the useful version 3.x.

The upgrade to OS 3.5 is nice, but also does not have very many enhancements.

I didn't try the web-clipping or mobile phone applications. But if they're like the mail app, then you should plan on being disappointed.

So in my opinion, the MIK IS a waste of money.

P.S. I temporarily solved my E-mail problems with a freeware package called ProxiMail, which gets your E-mail from up to five accounts. It puts the E-mail into the mail application in ROM. But the bulit-in mail application also has many limits. The developer's of ProxiMail have gone out of business, but if you look hard it can still be found on the web.

        Best Data A56FW-PCI modem
Please, do not purchase this modem. It is a piece of junk. I have two and neither work. When I tried to call Tech Support I found out they did not give from support. The first thing they ask for is a credit card number and they refuse to take back the modem and replace it. They claim it had to be improperly installed and the tech support doesn't have a clue on helping. All they are concerned with is how long they can keep you on line to charge for the call. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THIS MODEM, WHICH WE GOT AT OFFICE MAX! THE STAR RATING SHOULD BE A MINUS 10. IT IS A PIECE OF CRAP!

        no problems - so far
I didn't buy this modem through Amazon. I got it at a Yahoo auction for 9.99 including shipping. I installed it with no problems with the drivers cd. It seems to be working fine. I have not expieranced any of the problems described by others. I have had few modem installs go this smoothly.

Great price, easy to install and use
I've installed about 20 of these for my friends and neighbors.Never had a problem. The price is great for this modem. All the systems were pentium 233 and 300. One of my neighbors ran into a conflict when we were setting up his system and we called the tech support. It cost 7 bucks but in 15 minutes we were up and running. Not bad for a call at midnight on a sunday !

I got it to work and still hated it.
I have a Nokia 5190 from Cingular and eagerly ordered this unit. Cingular charged me a flat rate of $... a month just for datalink service, and then minutes on top of that, but that's not too expensive for wireless internet access.
I got it installed and running in about 45 minutes and proceeded to try it out. I got so annoyed with the speed, the bulky cable, the connect time (~30 to 40 seconds) and the intermittent service, that I gave up and returned it.

        Don't bother.

UPDATE on Do NOT buy & COMPATIBLE WITH THESE PHONES
Not until I was putting the darn thing back in the box did I see the sticker on the box. This module is compatible with 8, count 'em, 8 phones. The Xircom website does not list them when you click for the listing (it takes you to their 56k modem module page instead) and the Amazon site simply says that it is compable with Nokia phones.

According to the sticker on the box: "For Nokia Handsets. This model is compatible with the following handsets: Nokia 6110, Nokia 6130, Nokia 6150, Nokia 6190, Nokia 5110, Nokia 5130, Nokia 5150, Nokia 5190"

With all the different mobile phones out there, why any company would make a product that was compatible with only 8 of them is the ring of a poor business plan.

        GSM Phones
Alot of stuff for Nokia is GSM only. Pull off your battery, and take a look at your Nokia phone. The older phones that alot of people carry is TDMA/CDMA, like the 5185. Guess what? It dosen't work.

PPC2003 Driver for Belkin BT CF Adapter
I use a driver downloaded from Dell or Philips. It works fine, only is unable to establish bluetooth dial up modem connection.

No driver for Pocket PC 2003
Although the product looks OK and I guess it should work OK, I haven't been able to make it work yet as Belkin has no driver for Pocket PC 2003 yet ! When I contacted the technical support, they said that they had no date for release of a compatible driver !!
Better purchase another bluetooth adapter if you are running Pocket PC 2003.
