One of the simplist installation of a modem I ever had. Running Win2000 just installed the board and followed the on screen prompts to install the driver. Had it running in five mins. Would have to recommend this modem. Speed seems to be faster than my old modem blaster which findly gave out.

I was surprised to be able to get such a great cordless phone for the price I paid. The Phone works great and some of the features I liked most was that it came with a HEADSET, had an illuminated keypad, modem connection monitor and much more.

I found this phone to be more than I expected. It had great sound and features for the money, in fact it even came with the headset.

I'll admit it -- I'm a networking moron!!! Even so,
the setup of the D-Link DWL-6000AP was fairly easy
(I also purchased a DWL-AB520 wireless NIC for
my other computer). The "setup wizard" to configure
the Wireless Access Point is straightforward -- just
make sure your proxy server is turned off, or you
won't be able to access it!

I did have a couple of problems, so I called tech
support twice. Even with my limited networking
knowledge, it seems that the tech support person

knew less about this product than I did!

At $...(after $...mail-in reabte), I could not
pass up this WAP! The 802.11a mode works
flawlessly in my house, even though the signal
goes downstairs, and around a couple of
corners to get to the 2nd computer -- and we need the
802.11a, with 2 teenagers who constantly use
our 2.4Ghz cordless phones constantly!

Having used others, and as a computer manufacturer whose clients do not call at 3 A.M. with failures, I strongly recommend this modem in particular. It connects properly, can be used as an aswering machine, and fax, and it really excells at all it's functions. You can surf for hours at a time without loosing your connection, (as long as your internet service provider does not cut you off.)

I installed the card within 5 minutes. Really simple installation even though they state installation as being difficult on the box. I popped the card in and after that Windows XP took over and configured my network and automatically detected the card. And for the price you really can't beat it. I would recommend this to people who do not want to pay a lot of money for a wireless card. It also has a green led light on the card to let you know it's connected to the computer.

For those who need to share a dial-up connection, this hardware solution is a life saver. This box connects to the network via Ethernet, and is always ready to establish a connection. It is not necessary to have a 'connection sharing' computer always on to dial out. Physical installation was very simple: connect the box to the network and power, and connect a modem to it. The software is simple to install and configure if all you want to do is share a connection. It also offers very advanced features. It will stay in place even after I get a cable or DSL connection, as a back-up.

As a firm believer in Hawking Technology products, I ordered their newer CardBus 802.11b wireless network cards for a small office network. The newer cards are very compact and simple to install and set-up. I ordered 10 cards to install in various IBM ThinkPads that supported CardBus. Hardware detection is automatic and the included drivers and utilities make set-up quick and painless. WEP security with 128 bit keys helps to make the network secure. This card is a great buy for the price when compared with its peers.
