I purchased this monitor recently and have been very pleased with it. Ordered on Sunday, received on Wednesday. Price was reasonable and the picture quality is great!

This is a GREAT monitor at any price. I recently built a system for my brother and bought a cheap flat-panel MAG monitor to go with it. Well, the color produced on the MAG was all washed out. And if you looked at it at any angle other than straight on, it was much much worse. Which is typical for flat-panels, but on the MAG is was excessive.

I took it back and carefully looked at all the flat panels, and this NEC was the ONLY one that looked great at every angle. And the color reproduction is simply jaw dropping. DVDs look great, games play great, and it's real easy on the eyes.

If you want great graphics at pretty good price, this is the one to get!

What can i say? nothing beats a 20" viewable flat panel monitor. If you get this you will never need to get a monitor again. This flat panel monitor can fit anywhere in your house. But you must be willing to spend $$$ if you want something like this. think about it long and hard, that's what i did plus i had the money to spend. so choose carefully but i really recommend this monitor to everyone.

I have always had large screens, starting with black/white models in the early 1980s. For the past several years, I have used a 21" color CRT. I've wanted a large (20"+) LCD monitor for a long time. My search revealed that only NEC offers them right now.

The NEC LCD 2010X monitor is flatter and, I think, has richer colors than the CRT. It is lighter, does not emit UV rays, does not glare and does not refresh (flicker). Most important, it takes up a lot less space on the desk. I run it at 1280 x 1024 and can get two nearly-full pages on the screen side by side. On the other hand, at this resolution, the LCD screen seems slightly grainier than the CRT monitor.

The panel can be easily rotated or raised/lowered 3". The screen measures a full 20.1" diagonally. It appears the 2010X is the latest model; it came out about November 2000. As advertised, the screen may be viewed from the side. It is legible at 85 degrees and readable at about 60.

Stop suffering with inadequately small screens. Professionals need the best tools. The NEC 2010X is the best.

I have avoided using LCD monitors since I first saw one in my local Best Buy. Why? Because I use my PC to play games, and I have believed in the myth that all LCD monitors have that "ghosting" problem, you know, when things move across the screen but leave a fait "ghost" where they were. Ever since I saw the NEC-Mitsubishi Multisync LCD2010X-BK Black LCD Monitor I've been promoting LCD monitors to all my friends and family. I seriously and strongly recommend this outstanding monitor to the casual user and hardcore gamer alike!

I never thought the monitor mattered much, but when I needed to fit my computer onto a tiny desktop in my kitchen a flat LCD monitor became a necessity. The Mitsubishi Diamond Point V50LCD is not only appealing to look at when off but offers brighter screen images than any previous screen I owned. It is simple to set up, takes almost no space and can in fact be mounted on the wall-something I am considering. The colors are brighter and truer than I thought possible. This is well worth the money, especially if space is an issue.

This is a *nice* monitor for the price. I'm using it with a PowerBook Titanium which has a direct DVI output on the back - so the video signal is digital all the way. Very crisp, sharp, and *bright*. I was worried that it wouldn't be bright enough after comparing it to the 1560M, but it's *plenty* bright - I only have it set to 47% of the possible brighness now, and that's just fine. At full brightness it blows me away. Also, I was worried that 15" wouldn't be big enough, but it's plenty big after being used to a 15" laptop display.

My only complaint is that it was a little tough to get the color properly matched between the laptop and the new display - probably due to the new display being much brighter. ColorSync to the rescue though - I have it pretty close now.

I can't comment on how this would work with VGA since I haven't tried it - but it works very well with DVI. Beware though - the cable is not included - you'll have to buy one separately.

Firstly, the missing specs: <[local website]P>I finally replaced my NEC 21" CRT after 8 years and three CPU's. It still worked, but CRT resolutions at 1280, even at 21", are fuzzy. At least in comparison to an LCD.

Brand loyalty, 1600x1200 20", black frame, no stupid speakers (I *hate* built in speakers), and no embossed, saturated color logo (*yuck*), led me to the single choice of 2080UX-BK. My high expectations were exceeded.

This monitor is top quality and it's all about screen. The thin, black frame does not creak when adjusted. Beyond the pixel contrast that I expect from a quality lcd, I was most impressed with the 'lazy susan' swivel in the base. The swivel avoids force for the most common left-right adjustment.

My advice: Put your money into the monitor. It's the only component that really lasts.

The monitor is attractive and easy to set up. It has very good brightness and contrast. The response speed, which can be a problem with LCD monitors, is the fastest I have seen. It had only one bad pixel, which is about as good as any LCD monitor I have seen. I am seriously considering replacing my last CRT monitor with another LCD5V. Great job NEC!

Any time I think about ordering LCD monitors or TVs, I immediately worry about stuck or dead pixels. This has especially been the case recently as my friends continually buy LCD monitors from Dell and get angry when they receive a monitor with several bright-colored stuck pixels (it's sad that this is considered within manufacturer's specs). So with this thought in mind I still pulled the trigger on this NEC/Mitsubishi. I held me breath as I powered it up and guess what?.... It's perfect. No dead or stuck pixels and very little light "piping" from the edges. This is the second NEC/Mitsubishi LCD i've owned (this one is replacing a 15") and they were both free of bad pixels. Very, very pleased.
