This is a beautiful looking TV, with excellent sound and a mesmerizingly crisp bright picture. It works very well even in bright light and even when viewed from a sharp angle. It has some nice thoughtful features too, such as when you press the MUTE button, the closed captioning automatically turns on. You can mount the TV on the wall, on its stylish stand or on a swivel arm, so it fits easily in any space.

I bought this monitor after first trying out a cheepo GEM one, and I am very very happy with it. It has no screen lag problems, and has very crisp, and clear images. It is just as good as the Sony monitors, but costs much less. It is also much better then the cheepo GEM I tried which did have huge screen lag problems. A DVI connector would have been nice, but I can live without one. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone who is looking for a 17" LCD.

I received this screen from Insight and am very pleased. No dead pixel, image as good as the specs said. I use the screen as monitor for my desktop and laptop. It's very easy to use and the image definition, brightness and crispness is much better than screens i've seen from Cornea, AG or even NEC.

The only downside is that it's hard to find and the price is a bit higher.

Great picture with excellent sound and lots of input options. This television has many features for its price range, pricing several hundred dollars cheaper than comparable sets. Find this set and buy it; you won't be disappointed.

I bought the E200 in December 99 and it has been a great monitor. This was my first Sony. I've previously owned NEC & Viewsonic. The flat crt screen, (new then but common now) works great with text. This monitor has great contrast, bright colors and good screen geometry. The single button menu control takes a little bit to get used to, but once you get a feel for it, the menus are easy to navigate. The best thing in my experience with this monitor is the reliability factor. It has been absolutely rock solid. The PC I use basically runs 24/7 and the monitor is probably in powered up/in use for 8-9 hrs avg. per day. If this monitor is still available at a fair price, I would highly recommend picking one up if your in the market for a 17" Flat CRT. However, I have heard that the E210 is the exact same monitor with a 3-yr factory warranty vs. 1-yr with the E200. So if the price difference is negligable, I would go with the E210.

Sony monitors have been around forever, but I've been working with different generations of Sony monitors for the past 4 years, and the latest Trinitron is nearly perfect. The image is sharp and clear from center to edge, and if there's any curvature in the screen vertically or horizontally I can't detect it.

They also finally got the controls right; a four-direction button adjusts brightness/contrast by default, and is also used to adjust the other settings when the on screen menu is active.

A detachable monitor cable would have made this monitor perfect, but it's only a minor annoyance. It's not the cheapest monitor around, but it's a Sony, and you know the Trinitron CRT still will be looking great long into the future.

This monitor is perhaps one of the best CRT's that we still have on this planet. I own one and it has been my pleasure to own it. The colors on this screen are superb and dazzling and that encouraged me to design a website in as many colors as possible. Its non-glare flat screen is soothing to the eyes. The resolution is perfect and after the light weight flat-screen monitors came to the market, the only factor goes against this monitor is its old fashioned weight. The quality is so good that it is not a serious factor at all. The only reason for me to replace it would be another Sony with a bigger screen and lighter weight.

I love this monitor. The color and picture are wonderful. I also love the fact that it's not very big. Most 15" monitors are so huge, but this one fits on my desk just fine. I love it so much I bought two, one for each computer. Great picture, compact size, what more can you want?

We absolutely love this TV!! When we decided to buy this, we were not quite ready for this purchase. But we were in the city a couple months ago in the ABC Home Store and in that same building there was an electronics store we happened to bump into. What caught our attention were the cool selection of flat panel LCDs (we previously had expressed a mutual interest in one and were going to invest at some point). While there were quite a bit of cool ones, we spotted the KLV23 and immediately liked it. The 23" viewing area was perfect for us, not too small and not too big. We loved the way the picture looked and we liked the sound. When we got home, we did some research on it. So the next day we ordered it and received it the Friday of that week. It was very easy to set up. We ordered the wall mount for it, and that was easy to install as well. It looks awesome on the wall and the picture is just as good as we saw in the store. And the sound! This tv has an awesome sound especially when you set the WOW system on. We have it hooked up to an amplifier and speakers, and the combination of the sound is outstanding...it's really like having a mini theatre. But the tv holds up really well on it's own sound w/o the amplifier/speaker system. Also, you can set up different screen formats. We usually prefer the Zoom format, unless we're watching a movie with subtitles. Sometimes, depending on the movie, all the subtitles can't be seen. So that's where the Normal format comes in handy. Another of it's many features that we appreciate is that the remote control has a System Off feature which means that pressing that one button will turn off the tv, dvd player and amplifier at the same time. Pretty convenient. It's a vey clean installation overall. What we did is we got a cable tube to conceal whatever cables were visible now that we have it mounted on the wall. All I can say is that we have no regrets and this was money well spent. We love the way it functions and we love the look. Not too many LCDs have a cool black trim. And it being a Sony, how could we resist! I say read up on it thourouhly and if you decide to buy it afterward, you will not be sorry. It is one awesome toy!
