Great Monitor
Absolute clarity! When comparison shopping, I checked out the specs and compared them to other 19" LCD monitors. These rank right up there in the top and the dollar value is quite reasonable. To get the same specs in other brands, you will have to pay $150 to $200 more.
I first saw this monitor in a store with other monitors to compare the picture with and this monitor stood out. There was only one monitor that matched the Neovo in picture quality and it was $900 on sale. The optical quality glass on the screen gives such sharp images that I am totaly awed.
The only thing I didn't like is the stand. While it is solid and sturdy, it is not flexable (no up/down). I removed it and have the monitor mounted on a mechanical arm that allows me to move the screen to any position including rotating it 90 degrees. My video card lets me rotate the view as well so I have full page views with a couple of clicks of my mouse.
The display adjustments are common sense and flexable and indeed, with the Neovo, I turned down the brightness a bit unlike other LCD monitors that have to be turned up to the max value.
The styling on the Neovo is impressive and gets a 10 on a scale of 1 - 10 in the "WOW!" department. This monitor seems a little pricy until you see the features and 19" size of the monitor. Then, you realize that this is a great price for a monitor with such great specs and is an attractive and functional 19" LCD monitor. The best recommendation is that I would buy it again without hesitation.
Makes me smile- It looks very slick on the desktop
- the front plastic shield has protected my friend's trade show monitor well
- it folds up smaller than the average LCD monitor (though it's not height adjustable :-( )
- You can really crank the brightness and contrast up
- It's viewable from any angle
- competetive price (free shipping from Amazon too)
- 3 year warranty, including burnt-out pixels (no burnt out pixels yet)
- cool name
I've only had it a few days but I'm happy with my purchase.

Ok for GeoCaching, good portability but poor battery lifeThe main pro for this unit (other than price) is size - it's smaller than the next products up the line and easier to just stick in your pocket.
The main con is battery life. The amount of time you get out of 2 AAAs is not so hot. You'll eat up a pair of batteries every time you go out. I counter this by only turning the unit on to get my bearings. With a device that uses AA batteries I would be able to leave it on and use the tracklog/backtrack features. I think about it...
Some other factors to consider;
Display - once you go up above the basic etrex yellow unit the garmin units have higher-res displays, which are nice.
Connectivity - you can do ok without it, but this model is the only one that does not allow waypoint download (not sure about the 201.) Experienced geocachers favor the higher-end models with more memory. They load large numbers of cache waypoints into memory and are ready to go no matter where they are in their home area. If you're a more casual hiker/cacher, then the cheaper models do just as good a job - even this one.
Mapping - the gekkos and the etrex yellow will show you where your waypoints are in relation to each other, but don't show any other features. The more expensive models can do natural features and even uploaded topo maps.
You can GeoCache with almost any GPS. The Etrex yellow is the standard, but this has served me well. Happy Caching!
Great for a runner!I used mine for the first time this past weekend!
Nothing but pleasedGeko 101:
Pros-
1. Small! It's about the size of a cell phone
2. Lightweight. Because it's so small, it should be obvious that it's very light.
3. Accurate. Even though it doesn't have WASS capabilities it is just as accurate at times.
4. Waterproof. You never know when you might need it.
5. Features. It has just about everything you need or want (minus a detailed map) including when you'll arrive at your destination, speed, elevation, and all different units of measure.
6. Ease of use. The five button configuration makes it easy to use. Let's face it, if you find it difficult,[you shouldn't].
Cons-
1. It's not the greatest GPS ever made, but what do you expect for [the money]?
2. Batteries. This unit takes 2 AAA's. Although life is not a problem (12hrs.) unless you own something else that takes AAA batteries, sometimes they can be a pain.
3. PC compatibility. There's no way to link the Geko 101 to your PC. Oh well, even if you could, it would be $...more for the software.

Nice Replacement for Your Bulky 15"I'm using it with a Mac G4 and setup was easy and straightforward. No drivers to fiddle with, just plug in all the cables and you're ready to go. The computer will find the monitor and set up the perfect screen image in terms of hieght and width.
You will have to push a few of the buttons found on the right hand side of the frame to correct the contrast, brightness and colors, but once you get them right, which is fairly easy, the image will be correct and true to life.
Image quality is good to very good. Text and images are sharp and colors are very acurate. The image is also nice and bright which I didn't see in other monitors of this class. But if you go below the native resolution of 1024 X 768 images and text will appear smudged and chunky. Ok for writing a letter, but you won't want to go below native resolution when working with your digital photos. My only complaint about image is the way that, depending on how you are sitting, the top of the screen can appear darker than the bottom and vice-versa. When doing any image correction on photos or video, you'll want to be sitting as close to center of the screen as you can.
The speakers on the side of the monitor are rather weak and a bit tinny. Better speakers would have been great to watch movies with.
My reasons for buying a flat panel where increased desk space, lighter piece of equipment, less radiation emission, and less consumption of energy. Combine this with very good image quality, and elegant design, it's a great monitor for the price and you won't be dissapointed. But act quick because the price seems to have jumped a few dollors since I bought it!

Handy gadget in the big city. The built-in model from Magellan is very nice, but built-in. You can't take it with you in a rental car, or drive somewhere with a friend.
Even after living in the Dallas area for seven years, I still only "know" a small area around home and work. I found it very useful when I was sent to a specialist outside of my area. Not only was I able to find the address easily, but I was also able to work out the route and time estimate before I left home. END
Lots of featuresAlthough there is not enough detail in the maps to be really useful, it does provide a ton of information besides just maps and latitude and longitude. For example, time of day, altitude, miles per hour, avg mph, distance traveled, time traveled, time to destination, a compass, several alarm systems and optional personal way points. It is compact and portable as well as easy to read. If you are the passenger (definitly not as the driver), the StreetPilot can be as addictive as a computer game.
A one star deduction since with the GPS prices falling as they are, this one seems a tad expensive especially since the useful optional cartridges are a hundred bucks a pop. It would be nice if the manufacturer included the power adapter and one cartridge in this price.
Why pay 550 ? versus 250 ?

Good low-cost GPS
Magellan Meridian GPS (Yellow/Black)
AwsomeBuyer be aware of just as much cost for the accessories such as the mounting bracket ($...+), the Streets USA Map CD ($...), the cigarette lighter adapter ($...), the SD memory card ($...), etc.
Still, an excellent GPS for the price.
The brightness and crispness of both text and graphics was better than I expected. I connected the monitor to the DVI port on my computer without any problem. I also really like the design of the case and the glass protective coating that allows me to wipe fingerprints off very easily.
The warranty is also pretty decent.
The only things I would change would be to make it height adjustable and you really can't read the setting buttons on the front bezel. I rarely change my monitor settings so these are small concerns.
