Great for pictures -- not great for videos
Great cameraThe camera comes with batteries and a charger but no AC adapter. This is the only reason (no AC adapter) I gave the camera 4 stars instead of 5. I would recommend buying the AC adapter so you don't use the batteries too fast or an extra set of batteries so you always have a charged pair of batteries.

Dell, Compaq, and Retail
Larger Than Life
DELL P992 MonitorThis CRT monitor is a bargain as they are becoming less popular due to Dell's 19" FP TFTs. I have been given to understand that text can be 'fuzzy' on the TFTs and can honestly say I have never experienced any 'fuzzyness' with this superb CRT.
Image is stable and sharp.....a quality product from DELL.
I will wait for a while when TFTs become cheaper and DELL have ironed out the 'fuzzy' problem with text.

Look¿s good but poor TV resolution
CATV says "WOW!"
a little too blueThe speakers cabnets themselves could have been narrower, the cabnet the speakers are in are twice as wide as the actual speakers.
I wish it was in black, since my purchase I have seen it refurbished in black, but no brand new in black. wish it didn,t cost more than a big screen.

pricey but I found a cheaper alternative
Not quite an Eizo but awsome for the priceI was torn between giving it a 5 star rating for being such an awesome VALUE, and a 4 star rating for it's lack of features.
Nice Looking CRTThe first thing you'll notice about the G520P is the two tone silver and gray cabinet. It's probably the most attractive design on the market - certainly an improvement over the original G520.
As far as features go, the G520P is lacking a USB hub and BNC connectors. You'll have to go to the more expensive GDM-F520 model if you require either of these amenities. On the other hand, it does offer dual HD15 inputs, which might be nice if you wanted to hook up two machines at the same time.
Image quality is reasonably good. I found the G520P to be exceptionally bright and colourful, which is great for games and DVDs. Small text was a little on the blurry side, though this could potentially be attributed to my nVidia video card, which isn't really known for its 2d image quality. The monitor can reach resolutions as high as 2048x1536, but I found that 1280x1024 was the most comfortable for my eyes.
The on screen controls aren't bad, but navigation is made awkward by Sony's "Display Mouse". It's nothing more than a button that you push up or down to cycle through the various settings. The difficult part is that you have to push it inwards to activate your selection. It's not a terrible design, but I've certainly seen better.
Overall, I'm fairly happy with the Sony G520P. If you're interested in purchasing a 21" monitor, it's certainly worth a look. I would also recommend checking out some of the Diamondtron monitors - particularly the Mitsubishi 2060u and the Samsung Syncmaster 1200NF.
I hope this has been helpful!

Picture tube has a problemI bought the Samsung SyncMaster 700NF monitor as it had excellent display resolution and I liked it.
The problem:
The display just goes blank, with the picture tube just not working. The LED on the front goes from solid green to blinking yellow.
I have taken this very heavy 40+ lbs monitor back an forth to the Samsung service center 4 times now and this problem has not been fixed, they even gave me a different monitor and this problem still exists. Not a good experience for me. Maybe I got lemons :(
A really good monitorThe only shortcoming with 700NF is that there are two very thin horizontal lines on the screen it is said normal from the user manul, but they make me uncomfortable.
Best 17" monitor on the market
- 1,920 x 1,440 maximum resolution at 64 Hz, 1,280 x 1,024 at 85 Hz recommended
- 0.20-millimeter horizontal dot pitch

- Smart III antistatic, antiglare treatment
- Display Director onscreen controls; plug-and-play compatibility

ok monitor
Thank You AMAZON.COM!Anyway, 900IFT gives me more clear and balanced ranges of colors than my old GDM F500. On 900IFT, bright and white color balance with flater screen is outstanding. I was used vivid and yellowish tones with F500 for 3 years, so first few hours were uncomfortible with 900IFT. F500 produces sharper text than 900IFT but 900IFT "ROCKS" on 3D images in games.
I thought AG could only draw quality pictures until I found 900IFT. I was worng.
Again, Thanks Amazon.
SyncMaster 900IFTSo far, there have been no reliability problems with this unit, and it is used daily, and never turned off -- just in sleep mode. I purchased the extended warranty through Best Buy, not noting that the unit came with a three year manufacturers warranty. Perhaps, the earlier reviewers experience with Samsung's service makes that investment a good one.

Mislabeled - Max resolution 1280x1024 not 1600x1200
A Very Nice MonitorSecond, this is a very nice monitor. I'm hooked up via the DVI connection, so that might make a difference if you use the standard monitor connection. Pictures on the monitor are absolutely beautiful. Things like video clips and DVD playbacks look just fine (I've still done very few of those). Text, on the other hand, looks somewhat grainy (it varies from screen to screen), though it's still quite acceptable. I think this is actually a function of the dot-pitch for the monitor being larger than what my old CRT's was. This graininess can be mitigated by loading Microsoft's Clear Type in Windows XP and using the tuning utility. Also, make sure you adjust the Contrast and Brightness (turn the Contrast all the way up and then turn the Brightness down until blacks actually appear black (with Contrast at 100, my Brightness is at 25)). The display area of this monitor is actually somewhat bigger than what was displayed on my old 19" CRT (though the rated 18.1" is theoretically the same). So, if you want, you could also increase your font size for better viewing.
One other thing. The monitor is back-lit and comes set to 100% illumination. Unless you're looking at this thing in a highly lit room, you can probably turn this off entirely (use the "ECO" button on the bottom of the column of control buttons). At a minimum, you can definitely turn the backlighting down to, say, 70% (probably more).
One thing I do wish the monitor had is some type of swivel feature. You can tilt the angle of the display to your heart's content. But, there's no way to turn it from landscape to portrait mode. Also, and I should have thought of this before I bought it, there's no place to put the center speaker in a 5.1 speaker setup. With my old CRT, I just rested the speaker on top. Since there's essentially no depth to this monitor, that's impossible. On the bright side, there's plenty of room behind the monitor for that same speaker. :)
One final note: The "Utility" CD that comes with the monitor is totally useless. All it has on it is a DOS, Windows, and Mac version of a test screen. It doesn't even come with a monitor INF file. When I plugged the monitor in via the DVI port under XP, Windows changed over to a standard LCD screen driver (everything worked fine, it's just not fully accurate). You'll definitely need to go to Sony's web site and download the proper INF file.
Awesome monitor.
However, we've decided to return the camera. There are 3 movie modes. With a 256 MB memory stick (about $100), you get about 3 minutes of video on the best setting. On the medium setting, you get 10 minutes of video. The third setting does give you 2 hours of video, but is completely unusable. The audio is very poor and the image is blurry and pixelated.
We're disappointed that Sony didn't offer a movie mode in between the terrible 160 mode and the Standard 640 mode. A friend's Sony, now over 4 years old, has such an inbetween setting, and we figured this would be an example of the quality of this Cybershot's lowest setting. Not so!
