Screen rotation
Nobody has mentioned that this monitor can be rotated by 90 degrees to give portrait orientation. That means that for a single page of text or a portrait orientation picture, it is as good as a 1600 x 1280 screen.

Wow!
Nice bright/clear display. The 18" screen really shows a nice and vivid picture. I'm only using the VGA input right now (my graphics adapter doesn't have DVI...but my next adapter will and I'm now ready for that since this monitor can handle both).

Setup was also extremely easy without any troubles.

Awesome monitor!
I've had two of these monitors for a couple months now and continue to marvel at them. No dead pixels on either one and the image quality is as good as it gets. As far as the 30ms refresh rate, I've played Madden 2004 for over 50 hours on this monitor and never noticed any lag whatsoever. It's absolutely perfect. The pivot capability is also totally cool.

17 Inches is a world a difference
I received the mx70 monitor as part of a HP system package purchase and my initial impression (that is, before I turned it on) was that this thing was probably a piece of junk. After all, it was just the "add-in" part of the package and it did have a goofy space age design and one of the notches for the monitor stand was broken out of the box.

Happily however, the mx70 proved me wrong in all respects. The 17 inch display opened a whole new world of picture that I did not get with my previous 15 inch monitor. The colors are quite vivid and the "goofy" space age design actually makes the monitor easier to view as its gray-scale colors do not draw the eye away from the screen.

In addition the menu mode on the monitor is easy to use and has a number of extra features including an advanced features menu as well as an advanced geometry menu that allows the user to change the geometric shape of the display.

Finally, the monitor has an incorporated serviceable microphone at the top of the monitor and whose connection runs along the monitor's connection to the tower.

I would highly recommend this unit.

Great Viewable Area and Resolution
I have recently purchased a new computer system: monitor, CPU, printer, and scanner. This monitor was the one I choose to go with my CPU (see my review for the hp753n system) based on the resolution of the display model in my local Circuit City. Vibrant colors and great readability on everything. Also, when watching DVDs on this screen, everything is clear and crisp just slightly smaller than watching on a standard TV:) I highly reccommend this monitor based on price and quality, an A+ model.

An Excellent Picture. . .
I recently purchased this monitor to go with a new Hewlett-Packard computer that I bought. Since I was upgrading my four-year-old CPU to this new system, I figured that I might as well upgrade the monitor, too. Previously, I owned a 15" monitor, and I was very surprised at the big difference between my old 15" and this new 17". The two extra inches goes a long way. Now, it is easier to fit documents onto the screen and I don't have to keep scrolling up and down while I am reading something. Also, the picture on this monitor is much better. The text is very crisp and clear. My old monitor looks hazy compared to how precise this one is. The graphics are much better, too. They are brighter and, again, crisper than on my old monitor. Another feature of this monitor that I particularly enjoy is the built-in microphone. I've had a lot of fun playing with it the past few weeks. Overall, the HP 17" monitor is a great product and makes for an excellent addition to your new or old computer.

Perfection
I got my ordered KDS flat panel monitor today. It took me a few minutes to hook it up.There were only two cords to plug in. When I turned it on what a surprise! Bright colors, crisp pictures and type. This is the best bargin I have bought in a long time,I had no adjustments to make.I LOVE IT !!

KDS 15" Flat Panel Monitor
I had very simple criteria when shopping for a Flat Panel Monitor. A. I wanted to spend under $1000 B. I wanted the monitor to be simple to hook up C. I wanted a sharp picture and a good warranty in case my relatively large investment malfunctions. D. I wanted it to be sleek sitting on my office desk.

The KDS VS-F15 met all of my criteria. As with most LCD monitors in this price range, it needs to be viewed head on and set at the 1024 x 768 display mode for the sharpest resolution.

If you are considering one, go for it, you'll be happy.

This Monitor Is Good
Well it goes like this my computer is very nice yet I had a bad monitor. I ordered this from this site, and since the day I got it I have been really happy. Not only is this monitor nice looking, but the sharp colors is just the best I advise any customer out there looking for a monitor to purchase this one!

Great Monitor!
I have been scouring the Internet for the past few days looking for an inexpensive monitor to replace my old 15-inch Trinitron monitor from Gateway until I came across this little gem.

I am very impressed with the picture and quality of this monitor. It is just big enough to use with a screen resolution of 1280x1024 and works fine with both Windows and Linux. This monitor has plenty of geometry and color controls and delivers fantastic contrast for a CRT monitor. I was a bit hesitant to purchase a flat-screen monitor for this price; in some of my shopping I found flat-screen monitors advertised for the same price when they were just a convex (curved) screen behind flat glass casing.

For the price, you cannot get a better deal. I used the Super-Saver Shipping option and it was at my doorstep in less than 24 hours from when I placed the order. The KDS XtremeFlat XF-7i 17" CRT Monitor is truly flat and makes any viewing angle comfortable; it is very easy on both the eyes and the wallet.

A Solid Choice
I bought this monitor to use with a second computer in my home. So far, this monitor has exceeded my expectations. The view has been more than adequate for surfing the internet and using general office applications. I wanted to see just how good the picture quality can be. So, I installed a Sony DVD player on the computer so that I can test how the monitor will look playing a movie. I watched The Return of the King on this system and was impressed by the picture quality. Take the fact that the graphics card on this system is geared towards the business user and you will even be more impressed with the monitor.

My primary computer system has a 19-inch Trinitron monitor. And honestly, if I am just surfing the internet and sending e-mail, this 17-inch KDS is just as nice to look at. The Trinitron monitor does show more saturated colors when watching DVDs and such, but that could be due to that system's superior graphics card.

I can find no fault or shortcomings in this 17-inch KDS monitor. I can recommend this unit, with no reservations, to anyone looking for a 17-inch flat screen CRT.

Great Deal!
The KDS Xtreme Xf-7I Flat Monitor is terrific. Great picture, great price and with no shipping charge, an unbeatable deal. Very glad to have it. Highly recommend.

Highly Recommend!
The MobiCam is a great product. Unlike my old audio-only monitor, I can actually see what my child is doing. I don't have run back and forth to check on him every time he makes a noise. This is a lifesaver!

Mobi Goes Everywhere
My wife and I are not atypical- our schedules revolve around our children; probably like yours does. Our MobiCam lets us be in two places at once. We have the outdoor camera overseeing the pool, so we can make snacks and keep an eye on the pool. The 2 year old is knapping upstairs, so we've got an eye on her. If we need to run to the neighbor's house, we take the MobiCam with us. I even used it to train the dog to stay off the furniture! The dog can't figure out how I would catch her every time. MobiCam is so easy to use, heck, even my 70 year old mother figured it out when she baby sat for us.

For new parents- you'll feel secure seeing and hearing your baby. The last thing you need is complicated stuff at that time. MobiCam sets up in less than 3 minutes.

You've got preteens? Now you can see who hit who first and bypass the litigation. At the very least, it keeps fights to a minimum if they know you're watching.

Bar none!- MobiCam is the greatest gagdget for parents since the Pack'n Play!

Very Useful Baby Monitor
I love my MobiCam. I got this as a gift thikning I would rarely use it, but it actually does come in handy. It's so convinient to have. I can go anywhere in my house, and watch my child. The color screen is fabulous!

Amazon is the best!
I strongly recommend this display. NEC makes wonderful displays, and this one is worth every penny. The price Amazon gave me was very competitive, and I had already checked out 5 other online stores. The screen is extremely reflection-free due to the 100% flat screen and proprietory glass screen treatment. That means no reflection from surrounding/overhead lights - and thats a good thing for designers who work with color. The dot pitch is .25, big-assed resolutions with my nVidia 64MB card, so you get very sharp images. Refresh rates are great, and I dont feel fatigue in the eyes even after working long hours on it.
Its not a very "cool" cabinet, but isnt bad either. Its a heavy monster weighing in at 50 lbs, but has a petite footprint. It even has sRGB support, not to mention all the regular featuers such as on-screen controls. The package didnt have a driver CD, but downloading one from the internet was a breeze (nec.com). I use this with Dell, XP and it works great.
Now for the best part. Ordering through Amazon.com was a dream. The site is great, and addressed all my questions from the very start. Customer Services is absolutely incredible, they won my heart. They are most courteous and professional people to do business with. I strongly recommend you buy from Amazon. I know I always will.

Worth Every Penny
The NEC MultiSync FE950+ has a beautiful display and text at higher resolutions is very crisp and clear. At higher resolutions, the text grows fuzzy at 85Hz, but clears up at 75Hz. This monitor is fantastic for gamers as it increased my 3DMark2001 Benchmark Test score by over 100 points. Whether used for games, movies, or just regular computing, this monitor provides an excellent, crisp, display for almost any user.

One of the very best...
The NEC FE950+BLK is a striking addition to any desktop's decor, having a small footprint for such a large picture, and the black case... mmm. Beyond the aesthetic appeal of the case and slim, ergonomic design there are details like the cables in the rear (being installed vertically) which save a couple of inches of space behind the monitor... and keep cables from being smashed against a wall, etc.
OK. The picture. Wow, what a picture it is. Crisp, clear, bright, and very nice contrast. THIS is why people seek after flat screen monitors. The colors on-screen are some of the nicest I have seen, being true-to-life colors, which is important to me as a designer. This monitor will push higher resolutions than most in it's class, and it does so with ease. Viewing for hours on end is easy on the eyes, too. What a pleasure.
There are two extremely faint lines on the screen (I dare you to look) from the support wires for the aperture grill that are barely visible. IF you notice these, you can easily get used to, and forget all about them. They certainly are not a distraction and as I mentioned, are barely visible.
This is a keeper. All in all, I am very impressed - and this after trying several monitors first. My wife's NEC FE950 is what turned me on to this one. A nice little investment that I can only think of replacing one day in the future with the NEC 1250+BK, the 21" big brother to the FE950.
Highly Recommended.

Once you go Plasma you will never go back
I purchased this TV in August after returning a Sony 32 inch(not plasma) that had taken my small apartment over like a huge silver box. I live in a studio in Manhattan 12 feet wide and rather long. The body of the Sony stuck out like a sore thumb and the picture just didn't suit me. I saw this Panasonic Plasma and went for it. HD, I was told, was the way to go but if your cable company doesn't upgrade to it what good is it. Your TV is only as good as the cable service you have and this TV is to die for. The stand on this model is rounded so that it fits on smaller tables, I didn't opt for the wall mount as I like to turn the TV left and right depending on where I sit. Everyone said it would be too big but no way. I could have gone for the 50. This EDTV is the best purchase I have ever made. I haven't even touched the extras as yet. I still am in awe everytime I walk into my apartment and turn this baby on. Go for it. Worth every penny. How can anyone watch those "little" funny rounded TVs? Once you go Plasma there is no going back. I did have some audio problem in the beginning and had to turn the stero audio off because it was too "wavy". The sound would go in and out on the music portion of the show butI believe this was due to my cable. I have had no other problems and I can't even tell it's not on the stero the sound is so amazing. The only draw back is when you travel you can't take it with you.

Great TV--you may not need the speakers
We've been very happy with this TV--even more so now that we finally got HDTV from out cable company. The picture is excellent. The built-in speakers are pretty good, but you're probably going to want to go to a multi-speaker system, so you might consider saving a few bucks and getting a panel with no speakers.

Superb
This TV is absolutely outstanding. The contrast of this generation of Panasonics is class leading and it provides a truly awesome picture. Panasonic make their own panels and imo they make the best panels. For those of your worrying about the EDTV vs. HDTV issue then be assured that a HDTV signal looks fabulous on this screen - my Time Warner install guy who hooked up the HDTV box was drooling over the Discovery HD Theatre picture. It is true that HDTV signals will look slightly better still on a higher resolution set (though I cannot tell the difference) but on the flip side ordinary TV (and we will all be watching a lot of that for many years to come) looks a lot better (less grainy) at this resolution. DVD's also mate perfectly to 480p and look amazing. This screen really is the best of all worlds.

I cannot recommend this set highly enough - it has every conceivable input (even coaxial for those without a digital cable box), great sound and a very contemporary look. It is especially suitable for those who cannot be bothered with a home theatre set up with all the extra speakers that entails - the simulated suround sound it provides is really very good with only a few bass hicups. Amazingly, even the wife likes it (though she struggles to admit it!)You will not be dissapointed.

Hard to find retail, but worth the hunt online
This is a great monitor, better than you will see in the usual computer chain stores (they claim not to have heard of it). We have one of the early digital graphics cards in our computer but ran into incompatibility of the plug (different DV standards exist)and have had to go analog because of it. Check your DV plug if you are buying it for that purpose. We had a one pin difference that caused the problem. I like it as well as my 21 inch CRT at work. Looks good as part of the work area, nice asthetics. Can't go wrong here. I researched the specs a year ago when I bought it, checked the reviews, and it remains a standout even a year later.

Excellent in DVI mode, okay in analog.
I first connected this monitor to my old analog VGA card. It looked good, but the text looked very "anti-aliased", which is to say that the edges were a bit soft. I went out and purchased an NVidia card that had a DVI output, and connected the Samsung to that. What a difference! This is what computing should be about. The 17" monitor is big enough so that the native 1280x1024 resolution is very usable. Fonts are easily readable, and this is so crisp I can hardly go back to a CRT when I go to work every day.

If you need to use an LCD in analog mode, look at Viewsonic instead. Their analog to digital translation has always been great. However, if you can get a DVI video interface on your PC, this is the monitor to have.

I use this monitor under RedHat 7.3, and it works great.

breathtaking
Not much to say. The screen is breath-taking. You must run it with 1280x1024 resolution, since that's how many pixels it has. Otherwise it tries to scale things, and the first thing to go is the text.

The screen seems huge. It has low power consumption. It turns on instantly, so you don't wait for it to warm up like a CRT. It installed effortlessly on Windows ME and then again on Windows XP.

Great kitchen or desktop TV!
After having lusted after LCD TV's of this size for some time, I was lucky enough to spot this model as a close-out display unit at half-price. This TV has excellent picture quality with only a slight loss of brightness and color intensity as you move your viewing angle from side to side. The sound and stereo imaging effect is actually quite good, considering the overall size of the unit. It has any type of sound and video input you could desire, including video from a PC that can be used in conjunction with a regular TV signal as a picture-in-picture display.

I purchased a pivoting and extending wall mounted arm that is designed for Sharp and Samsung TV's of this size. This allows it to be mounted under a kitchen cabinet and can then be pulled out and pivoted at any angle. This requires the (easy - four screws) removal of the standard base. It can then be pushed up against the wall when not in use to maximize counter space. The on-screen menu allows for a full range of video and audio setting changes, including standard, movie, and custom modes. Overall, this is a great TV.

Happy Customer
My 65-year-old mom is concerned the radiation produced from "regular" TV. She wants me to get her a less priced flat panel TV in her 45 by 50 room. After three month's intensive searching (local store visiting, internet surfing), I decide to get her a Samsung. I was intent to get her the Samsung LTM-1775W 17", but I'm not ready for the price, yet. I saw the LTM-1555.... The 15" has surprisingly better viewing quality than her four-year-old-brand-name 25" CRT TV, though the sound quality is not that good(better than the old TV, of course). Now, my mom is using it as TV and computer monitor. She's happy with the clear pictures and I'm happy that the setting interface is easy. It's a BEST BUY.

A great little TV
This 15" Samsung HD liquid crystal television is great for someone who doesn't mind the small screen. The picture is fantastic. I pluged mine into a normal cable and the picture was better than a satelite connection. Movies are also top qualitiy. It isn't heavy, so you can easily move it from room to room. My only complaint is the sound quality. I paid over a thousand dollars for it, including the warranty, and expected it to have BBE high definition sound, but it doesn't.

This thing is unreal...
This TV is amazing. Its less than 3 inches thick and perfectly built. All quality, all top of the line. The remote sucks but once you turn on the tv you dont care anymore. HDTV is crystal clear, itll blow your socks off. Dvd's on progressive scan look great, but digital tv is a just little fuzzy but you learn to deal with it, because HD and Dvd are superb. you wont be dissapointed if you buy this.

Digitallll......SAMSUNG is DA Bomb!
Yea thats right samsung is da bomb. when i opened the box i was surprised that the TV was quite big (in a good way of course). Turned it on it was clearly one of the best looking TVs i had ever seen. Put in Finding Nemo DVD via Component cable.....Just blew me away with is clearity..This display rivals a Front Projector DLP! The sound is great with virtual DOLoby Surround sound all you have to do is connect a subwoofer and your good to go. The LCD is rich in featurs and conections. With DNIe technology that helps diliver the great images. The DVi, 2 component and Composite, + one s video inputs, and a subwoofer input. You will have a place to put every ELectonic device into the TV. The other way this TV shines is in its video game support. The component cable is a must have if you own a Xbox the graphics will blow your mind away! Every detail is shown very great experiance....GOOD JOB SAMSUNG nice TV....I Mean GREAT TV!

Great product
Superb image with 720p HDTV and computer graphics..........excellent audio with impressive spatial effects,,,,,,,beautiful 480p pictures from DVDs...........very wide viewing angle, very bright, high contrast, fast response LCD with no smearing, very crisp display......geometry in both 4 to 3 and 16 to 9 widescreen modes is superb.....test patterns from Arvia calibration disk reveal virtually perfect linearity, gray scale, tracking, and totally orthogonal raster with no pincushion or barrel distortion with extremely precise centering..........watch out Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, etc.......this set is terrific.....Minor nits ........remote is laid out badly, not backlit, and only has codes for limited 3rd party compatibility.....my HDTV cable box from Scientific Atlanta is not supported.....actually NONE of the Scientific America cable boxes are supported.........also, picture in picture limited to only a few modes which cannot mix, for example, computer images with component video from cable box, DVD, etc...........Longer warranty would be a nice plus........No audio output jacks except for subwoofer output (really!) and headphone jack........
