Well I found out the hard way! This monitor does not last even two years! Am now sure I will avoid buying any product from Proview!

They blow up at two years. You have to pay to ship them to have them fix. Good Luck. You get what you pay for

Do not buy this monitor and stay away from ViewSonic. I unfortunately purchased this monitor about 9 months ago. The first monitor arrived with a defective screen. Returning this first defective monitor cost extra [money] in shipping. I've now had the second monitor for 9 months and the screen just went blank ... a sizzling sound came from the back ... and a foul burning smell came out of the monitor. Again I called tech support. Now ViewSonic tells me that they don't know when they will be able to send me a replacement P225f as there is "no stock". I have never had such a horrible experience with a monitor and with dealing with a company. You should avoid this monitor (consider the Hitachi instead) and definitely avoid this company. Their warranty is worthless.

While I was impressed with the speed (and price) in which this heavy monitor was delivered from Amazon.com, I am disappointed in its performance.

The monitor had an evident color cast across the screen. No adjusments could compensate for the color cast. Tried relocation of the monitor, using another computer, the defect was consistent in any environment.

Viewsonic replaced the monitor ( I was without for over a week as the transfer took place!) and the replacement monitor, while better, displays the same problem. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a monitor suitable for production photo work.

Don't buy this unit unless you're going to use it for a clothsline. That's all it's good for. The connections are loose and it turned my video display into a bunch of scrambled lines. I only gave it one star because zero stars was not on the drop down list.

And because it comes from Office/Tech-Depot it's not as easy to return. To bad I couldn't give it negative stars because of this.

It didn't work from the start. Bad picture and remote.

Don't get an LCD monitor, an active matrix TFT is much better.

The FP1500 is what can only be described as pricey garbage. After returning two units, I have given up completely on anything manufactured by AudioVox. Even if the TVs actually worked correctly, the user guide is apparently written by someone with English as a third language, and also omits basic (and potentially useful) information. Their customer support personnel are surly, and less than helpful. Be forewarned: steer clear of AudioVox, and especially this LCD fiasco.

I purchased this monitor extention and tried it on my NEC LCD monitor but the screen flashed when it was hooked up. I tried another one with the same results, so I unplugged it, dragged my CPU up close to my monitor so it would reach with my old 6' cord, and began searching the net for a better cable.

I have purchased this moniter 3 months back and I am not at all happy with it. It worked fine for the first 3 weeks and then the troubles have started. First one side of the screen had slight flicker and later after a week or so the flickering had started on the other side of the moniter. Finally it just stopped working last week. Now I am sending it to BENQ to get it repaired.

I purchased this cable as a replacement, and it is far worse than the original I had. There is noticable "shadow" distortion. My advice is to buy a higher quality cable w/ ferriete beads. This cable was not useable.

I purchased this LCD for my kids computer at Christmas and it has failed within 6 months. Shame on me for saving a couple of bucks instead of a Viewsonic or Samsung.

When I was looking around for a glare filter for flat panels I thought that the Kensington models were specialized for flat panels. But when I received the product I was disappointed. The glare screen is made of some kind of film rather than solid glass or plastic -- what that means is that if you poke it even slightly with a pen or your finger, you could actually tear it! But that was just the beginning of the problems. The glare filter came with velcro that was the least sticky thing I have ever seen. I had attached the filter to the flat panel and two days later it fell off. The sticker used was simply not up to par. Finally I returned it and went and bought the traditional glare filters by 3M used for desktops. That works much better with flat panels.
