I PURCHASED THIS ITEM FROM AMAZON IT LASTED 7 WEEKS AND THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE IT OR FIXIT AS I LIVE IN BRASIL. ITS JUST JUNK AND THE LOCAL NEC DEALER SAID IT HAD BEEN REFURBISHED ONCE WAS NOT A NEW ITEM. IN OTHER WORDS A REPALCE AND RESHIP AS NEW. GOOD LUCK IF YOU BUY THIS OR ANY ITEM FROM AMAZON. THE NO SERVICE COMPANY.

I ordered this stand twice from TigerDirect. The description and picture would have you fooled that you can mount two LCDs. As it turns out, the kit comes with everything you see except for the base metal plate that actually holds the monitors. I guess the manufacturer assumes that you already own the base plate shown in the picture.

I reordered this item twice thinking that it was just a missing part. I also tried calling the manufacturer parts department using the phone number located on the manual, but they refused to help me since their system did not show my order number.

I bought this unit about 3 weeks ago and within one week the cuff pump doesn't pump up as it should. I checked with the seller (bought it online), she said that she has the same experience once.

I called Omron and they said that I can send it in for repair along with $5.00 for return postage. I told them that this is a defective unit (manufacturer's defect), they should not charge customer for return postage.

I feel that Omron who shipped the defective product should have the courtesy to paid for their own postage. The fault is with them and not consumers, thus we should NOT have to paid for their mistakes.

This is the first and last for me, I do not recommend buying any unit from Omron. There are many other choices, make sure that you do your research and watchout on those rules regarding warranty information.

Unhappy consumer

You are better off with an old school mercury thermometer.

I recently purchased this ...and much to my surprise, it arrived with weak batteries, I never even got one salinity check. It did have batteries as the lcd display flashed numbers. I contacted Oregon Scientific and requested that they delivery more batteries; they would not.
I expect to get some life out of a newly purchased product and I'd think that Oregon Scientific would either deliver a functioning product or say batteries needed.

Indian monitor company Planar has been trying to make inroads in the consumer market here in the U.S. Their offerings are however quite unimpressive. The PT1503nt adds touch screen to a 15-inch LCD monitor, but this extra feature makes the screen 3 times as expensive as other quality LCD monitors, and PT1503nt has a below-average image quality.

...I bought an LCD flat-panel display from them. The display is okay, but I never got the...rebate. After diligently submitting all materials and waiting months, I checked the status of my rebate online. The website said that they had no record of me, and I submitted a web form (the only way one can communicate with the company administering the rebate) complaining. They sent an email telling me to resubmit all of my rebate materials, and I would then get the rebate. I quickly did this, and waited months (again). The website still shows no record of me. I filled in the web form again, they said to resubmit everything again. I have also sent emails directly to Planar, which have received no response. The moral of the story: don't count on getting a rebate from these guys.

I have been looking for a good way to protect the screen on my PowerBook G4 laptop for quite some time, so I was happy when I found this product. It seemed to provide just the kind of screen protection I was looking for.

Boy, was I wrong.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the lack of installation instructions. No problem, it looked simple enough. The plastic sheets have a small glue strip at the bottom which adhere lightly to the screen and the rest of the sheet stays put from static cling. I peeled one of the clear plastic sheets off of its glossy paper backing and peered through it. There were several wavy lines of refraction where the plastic changed thickness. If you have ever seen antique glass window panes, you may know the kind of distorted view I saw.

Undeterred, I attached the sheet to my freshly cleaned laptop screen. When I did this, I discovered that the screen protector, which advertises its compatibility with the 15" PowerBook AND the 15" iBook, is too small for the PowerBook's screen. Not by much, mind you, but just enough to create a distracting border around three edges when you line up the fourth with the edge of the screen. Fortunately, the distorted view I had when looking through the plastic did not seem to distort the display from the screen.

Unfortunately, the plastic creates a terrible glare while installed on the screen! This was the final straw. For a product with so much possibility, I was sorely disappointed. One saving grace was that the glue strip left no visible marks on the screen. Who knows what would happen with prolonged use, however. My search goes on for a *high quality* screen protector with a good fit and *no* glare. ...

I have a 17-inch ViewSonic monitor in my office, and when I saw the Samsung 153v on fire sale at my local store I bought it. It totally disappointed. I hadn't expected much of a so-so brand but its poor image quality, especially the lack of uniform lighting over the screen and rather narrow viewing angles, totally put me off. Next to my 2-year-old ViewSonic 153v's image looks dark and unevent. I couldn't get a refund, so I just sold it on Craig's List for less than I'd paid.

I didn't even plug this baby in. I ordered it since it stated it was a flat screen. This screen is *not* flat. This screen is just as curved as a non-flat screen monitor is. If these guys think this monitor is flat, they better have their eyes checked.
I sent this monitor back and purchased from circuit city a NEC Multisync FE700+ 17" monitor. Now this is a flat screen monitor.
Bottom line...if you are thinking of buying this monitor because it is a flat screen, then don't buy it.
