No XP Drivers Either
Enjoyed the mouse while running WinMe. When I upgraded to XP, the mouse wheel and three side buttons did not function properly. If you are running an operating system before Win2000 or WinXP, this is a good mouse. Otherwise, save yourself from the hassel and spend the extra money for a newer mouse.

Works with XP
A great mouse. When I upgraded to a new Dell I was worried my trusty IBM mouse wouldn't make it to XP. With a little google search, there was the drivers for it. I've had mine for over 2 1/2 years and it still going strong. Get it and the lastest Mouse Suite and you're in there. You could pay more for a new, fancy USB mouse. But why use a USB port when the ps2 is just as good.

Great Mouse
This is a great mouse. I've been using it for nearly a year, and I couldn't be happier with it. The other reviewers claim it can't be used with Windows 2000 or Windows XP, but those are the exact operating systems I'm using now. I've got all buttons and software working without a hitch. You may need to download the newest drivers

Download the IBM Mouse Suite v1.8 (Windows 2000, Windows XP), and it works perfectly.

Not for the Absent Minded
This combo works just fine as a mouse and keyboard. However, I ended up replacing my original in a very short period of time because I kept dropping the mouse off the edge of my desk. The mouse was sturdy but it could only take so much abuse before it went to mousie heaven.

The other problem I had was a tendency to wander away from the desk while holding the mouse. Later, after a half hour of frantic searching, I would find it on the file cabinet, in my pocket, in my brief case. It was harder to keep up with than my ink pens.

I eventually bought a wireless Stealth keyboard with a pointing device built in and have had it for the last two years without a problem.

6 feet more like 20
When I was in the store I looked at the 6 foot radius this device was supposed to have , and I did not think it would be enough space for me to do what I wanted to do. Guess what even though the box says 6 feet it is seriously more like 20 or so feet. Comparing it to other products you will find there is nothing this good this cheap on the market today to compete. The intel setup looks pretty good , but it is much more money, and the wireless hub is much bigger then the logitech hub. This is the device to have , kudos to logitech.

One thing to watch out for is the connect button on the hub. If you press that button you have to take the batteries out of the mouse for it to work again.

at last....FREEDOM!
I rec'd my Logitech Cordless Freedom pack today. Hooked it up immed. Loved it from the get-go! This product is great for those who like to sit back and relax while working on the computer. Gone are the days of hunching over the desk typing or mousing around websites.

I found the range of the keyboard and mouse to be more than 20 feet though I would have settled for 6. With the unexpected distance achieved I'm eager to buy a 19-21" monitor.

If you are undecided, put your fears to rest and buy this set. You will love it too.

Overall pretty good
I bought this mouse because I was tired of the corded mouses and having to clean out the ball every other week. It's really nice and smooth and no cleaning out any ball. It runs smoothly and it looks nice, however, you need to change the batteries constantly. I change my battery about every 3 weeks and it uses 2 AA batteries, that adds up. This mouse alsmo isn't ideal for gaming, as it doesn't run smoothly in games; you'll be better off with a corded mouse. Overall, it's a good mouse, just pricey to maintain. I would suggest getting the newer versions where you can recharge the batteries.

Not bad
I had Logitech's top model and it went bad after one year so I got the next one down in price (this one)It took some getting used to because it gave me problems scrolling down for about a week. Now I really like it and would recomend it especially for games because it's so comfortable in my hand.

I absolutely LOVE this mouse!
I have had this mouse for almost 2 months now, and not had to change the batteries once. As a matter of fact, I've not had any problems with it at all! It moves easily, works perfectly, and feels great in my hand. I highly recommend this cordless mouse. It's less expensive than most of the others, and with the mail in rebate, you can't miss!

Not for serious graphics
I am not a professional graphics artist and mostly draw for pleasure. But still I find that the Graphire series is NOT for drawing purpose. I usually use Corel Painter to do my work and that Graphire series does not support tilt sensing(also limited sensitivity level compared to Intuos Series) puts major limitation to your artistic expression.

If you are going to use your tablet for photo editing or quick simple writing board for presentation purpose go with the Graphire. But if you are going to be drawing Intuos is the choice. I hadn't realized how important tilt sensivity is before using Corel Painter.

Concerning the size, 4X5 will work for a lot of purposes. But then again, if you are into serious drawing I would recommend 6X8. I own 4X5 Graphire tablet and the small size does not allow me to drawing straight from the computer. So I usually have to go through scanning. Take note that the area of 6X8 is actually twice that of 4X5.

perfect for my Ibook
I bought the Graphire3 to work with my Ibook. It is a perfect addition to a laptop as its very portable and easy to install. It also replaces the annoying mouse pad and button most laptops have. The only complaint I had was that I didn't have the most up to date operating system on my Mac so had to install the most up to date software for it to run. Unfortunately Wacom was very unhelpful, and I had to figure it out myself. Although this tablet is perfect for somone on the go with a small desk space, it is advisable to get the largest wacom tablet possible as the actual working area can be limiting.

Great!
This tablet is great! The installation was super easy and had absolutely no errors/problems. This is great for beginners or advanced. I use it for Flash cartoons, I use it a lot. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to draw or edit photos or whatever. The erasor on the pen is very useful and the buttons are fully customizable. Everything has worked out great.
PS: The shipping was very quick!

Very comfortable to use
I had never used a trackball for any long period of time before using this one. That was because all of the other trackballs that I have tried seem a lit akward to control. The Logitech Cordless Trackman FX Optical Trackball solves this problem by placing the ball between your thumb and fingers allowing you to be able to use either your thumb or your fingers to control the pointer. This made it a lot less akward for me to use than other trackballs, especially for more precise movement.

The trackball also has several buttons that can be programmed to perform a variety of tasks. These buttons are placed conveniently and are comfortable to use.

The only drawback that I found was I think it could have offered a better method of wrist support.

BETTER than the cordless OPTICAL MOUSE!!!
Very nice design, sturdy, comfortable, and most importantly it controls the cursor very smoothly and accurately!

I've also tried the Logitech cordless OPTICAL MOUSE, but for some reason, it is not as accurate as this and will skip often -- try moving the wireless optical MOUSE very quickly with sudden change in directions, and you'll see something isn't natural (but the optical TRACKBALL won't skip like this!).

The Logitech FX Optical Trackball controls the mouse cursor very smoothly and ACCURATELY (I say it is better than a corded mouse) even with quick sudden movements. I think/suspect that it's because of the fixed pattern laid out on the trackball so the optical camera can better detect movements; if you move an optical MOUSE on a glossy (one solid color) surface, you'll see that the mouse cursor just SITS there when you move the mouse (u see what I mean, right? I'm telling you the optical trackball actually works better than the mouse!).

I like the way the large trackball is placed right where my index and middle fingers are. It is much easier to control than using just your thumb. I use those two fingers to control my handwriting, so this design feels very comfortable for me.

The only drawback is that it does not have a good scrolling wheel. Well, you can assign/program two of the four buttons to do this, but a wheel is much better. No big deal though.

The single battery you place in it literally lasts for months without skipping -- I use the cordless trackball about 4-5 ft away from the computer/receiver unit.

I dropped this mouse several times from my chair armrest to a hard wooden floor. Worked fine each time afterwards. I knocked it down from the top of my raised 19" monitor to the hard wooden floor about 4-5 feet down! I thought it was dead for sure. I have a tiny little scratch, but the unit still works great! And that's when I decided to write this review. What can I say, this is superb quality.

This is the trackball for me
I've had this trackball for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I have small hands, so I was worried that the ball would be too big. In the past I've always used a Microsoft trackball that had a tiny ball in it.

I work a lot of hours on the computer and ergonomics are an absolute must for me. This trackball fits the bill. The shape of it is strange at first, but my hand cups over it more naturally than any other mouse type product I've ever used. I also love having four buttons! They're programmable so you can set them up any way you'd like.

The design and position of the ball allows you to use your thumb for control, or any of your other four fingers on the opposite side. When I first started using it I actually used all fingers for better control. I like a sensitive trackball, but I found that this one is the most sensitive I've ever used. With others, I would have to set my mouse speed as high as it would go to get the sensitivity I wanted. With this trackball, I had to set it at a medium speed instead, because high is *really* sensitive.

In short, I love this trackball and expect to use it for years to come.

    It's ALRIGHT
I just wanted a cheap wireless mouse and this was the cheapest Amazon had. It's great in battery life and durability but not with the mobility. If the mouse isn't in the direct path of the base thing, then it won't react. You have to be concious while working on the computer to not move the mouse too far. It's cheap and you pretty much get what you pay for.

Wireless mouse is disadvantage if you are clumsy
I liked the feel and functionality, and so forth. Plug and play worked fine. The connection was maintained even through 3/4 inch pressed wood. After a few days however I found that the problem with a wireless mouse is that it has no wire! It fell to the floor several times a day because there was nothing to constrain it; it was awkward for me because there was nothing for ease of retreival (I have somewhat limited mobility). So if you are at all clumsy like me, beware.

    woohoo!
It's cheap and works great. I've dropped it a few times and it keeps on ticking. This was the cheapest wireless mouse I could find on Amazon. It works perfectly and is as of yet, indestructible! Highly recommend it.

It is great and easy to use!
I have had mine for a week. I have the Model GP 9110. No problems what so ever. I haven't tested it out to 30 ft but to about 10. The mouse is awesome! I don't find it slow to use it against any surface. And to use it in the air takes no brains, just hold the trigger. Let off the trigger to park the cursor. The mouse is ergonomical for my hand and probably for almost everyone else's. The keyboard it small and light. It is also pretty quite to type on. Some people might prefer a bigger full size keyboard. The only critism I can make is that it wasn't cheap. Installation was a breeze. Thanks Gyration!

Wonderful mouse, OK keyboard, good overall
A gyroscopic mouse takes a few hours to get used to but once you get the concept it is very simple to operate. I use it for HTPC so ability to operate without desktop surface is very useful. The keyboard is somewhat small. Keys are smaller than IBM Thinkpad keys. The small keyboard size works very well for HTPCs.

When I installed a receiver station and trained with a keyboard only it was giving missing keys problem (the same as for one of the reviewers). As soon as I trained a mouse AND a keyboard problem disappeared completely and keyboard did not give a single failure or missing key.

Overall a very good package with attractive price.

I was considering two new Logitech Bluetooth keyboard/mouse suites but choose Gyration due to a mouse that can be operated in the air. No regrets so far.

Computer professionals would not like location of the left Ctrl key. It is next to Fn key in the left bottom corner. The same as in Thinkpad laptops.

The definitive presentation mouse (once you get used to it)
The Gyration mouse is your average optical mice, but with one big difference: a gyroscope inside the mouse that let's you operate the mouse 'in the air' and without line of sight, up to 25ft. Personally, I prefer a normal desktop mouse when I have a desk, but in 'deskless' situations, such as surfing the net from your couch or in boardroom meetings, this is the definitive solution. There is a 2 hour learning curve with this mouse, but it becomes natural after a while.

A wireless, tiny keyboard also comes with this combo. The keyboard is *very* light and also has excellent range, although it is a little too small for comfort as it has the exact dimensions of a typical laptop keyboard. Great if you have very tiny hands and are used to a laptop , but I much prefer the big desktop keyboards, and my fingers are a little slimmer than the average male's.

Aesthetically, the keyboard/mouse combo also look very nice.

      The Mouse
      ------------------
      Pros:
      - The gyroscope works extremely well when you don't have a desk or are in a deskless situation (ie. your couch)
      - You can use it on a surface like a normal mouse in addition to 'in the air'
      - 25ft of range is accurate (worked great for me at 20ft through walls)
      - *the* boardroom/presentation mouse

      Cons:
      - Battery drains a little faster than conventional wireless mice, and will require a charge every two days
      - you will have a hard time with games in 'gyroscope' mode, unless you're very accurate in making small movements with just your wrist
      - Does not have the conventient 'back' and 'forward' buttons other mice have
      - Mostly convenient when one needs to do tasks without a desk

      The Keyboard
      -----------------
      Pros:
      - *very* light
      - good operating range
      - small
      - looks nice

      Cons:
      - because it's small, it may be uncomfortable for some with bigger fingers
      - The media keys are not configurable, and there is no software/drivers for it

Overall, I'm very pleased with the mouse. I rarely use the keyboard, however, due it's small size that is less comfortable as a full sized keyboard. I would immediately recommended it if you're really need it for deskless situations, but otherwise if you work at your desk most of the time, a conventional wireless with more features is the way to go.

Hint: Double click the trigger button to go into 'triggerless' mode

You Don't Want This Mouse - - Avoid
This mouse is not sturdy! This thing is delicate and feeble. Accordingly, please search for a better alternative, [I would seek any other minimal mouse]. There is no value in ordering a mouse that is:
      1) Too Infinitesimally Tiny
      2) Too Frail
      3) Too Pricey (Relative To Other 'Mice' In The Basic Class)

Not the Best, but Good Enough
I wanted an inexpensive mouse for my laptop and this was it! At less than [money], you absolutely can't beat this price. The mouse works perfectly fine. However, I would prefer the internet scrolling to be an actual scroll rather than a third button to click. Otherwise -- great deal.

      {Inexpensive}, Easy, Reliable
I bought this to give away when I sold my old Gateway PC so I would not have to part with my Optical Mouse. Its a great {inexpensive} alternative and the person who bought my 5 year old Gateway doesn't know any better anyway. I used it a bit and liked its solid feel and steady action.

      Worked for a week
This setup lasted a week, then the keyboard stopped working. I probably could have RMA'd it, but I didn't want to waste more money on shipping a bum product. When it did work, there was a very annoying ~1/4 second delay between typing/moving the mouse and when the motion appeared on-screen. Horrible for gaming.

      Great Product
First off, I just want to say that the Memorex RF5000 32021440 does not have an optical mouse. But, it still is a great product. I've had it for almost 2 years now and I bought it really cheap at Oddlots, so I wasn't expecting the set to last very long. In my opinion the set is perfect for anyone who wants a wireless set but doesn't want to spend a fortune for one. It is good enough for the average user and by average I mean 4 or so hours a day.
The keyboard works about 10 feet away and the mouse only worked about 6 feet away.

      surprisedbythequality
I purchased this item at a close-out price (about 25% of retail) from J&R MusicWorld, so I wasn't expecting much. I've only tried to use the mouse and keyboard from about 10 feet away from the computer, but at that distance they have the 'feel' and performance of my IBM wired ones. The hot keys work nice, and
      are appropriate.

      To small for normal use
This mouse is good for a laptop that you have to carry with you if you are tight on space or for a child. For most adults it is to small, and it is hard to control.

      Great for off-desk computing
I got one of these about a year ago for use with my laptop, which I often use in the living room in an easy chair. Sure, trackballs aren't for everyone, especially when thumb-driven, but really, folks, it's not that hard to get used to.

I've had to clean out under the ball a few times, but not really anymore so than with a conventional mouse. The trigger button gets a little tricky after prolonged use - it seems the spring is dead or dying. That's my only complaint with it, and a little side-to-side shake once in a while keeps it going, though I am about to buy another one.

      Great if you hate touchpads
All too often you barely have enough space for your laptop, let alone a trackball or mouse. If you don't like using the touchpad (like me) this is what you are looking for. It's easy once you get used to it and let you work almost anywhere. I wouldn't suggest it as a best solution for game play, but then again, it might work for that, too, after to get a feel for it. However, for the usual day-to-day stuff like work processing, I wouldn't consider using anything else.
