- 2 Buttons with programmable functions
- Connects to serial port (also includes adapter for PS/2 port)
- Works with Windows95 or later
List price: $52.95 (that's NaN% off!)

Great alternative to the standard mouse!Cons: must still sit off to the side of the keyboard, requiring user to reach off to the side to use the device
I have very small hands and am required to mouse most of the day for my job as well as in the evenings when I game and work with photo editing. I was constantly having pains not only in my arms and shoulders (from reaching for the mouse) but also in my hand and fingers from having to hold the mouse for so long.
This touchpad has solved most of my problems! It was very easy to convert to the touchpad and I am finding (now that I am use to it) that I have more control than I did with just a standard mouse!
For those of you having arm and shoulder pain from reaching the mouse: this is probably not the solution for you; you might consider a keyboard that has a touchpad integrated into it (like the Adesso Truform). While this touchpad eliminated the hand and finger pain, it still has to sit off to the side of the keyboard. I use the touchpad at home for gaming and photo editing because I can hold the touchpad right in my lap and not be concerned with the keyboard for those items. At work, I have switched to a keyboard that has a built-in touchpad so that I can avoid reaching across my keyboard tray to mouse.
XP Users: there are no drivers for the touchpad's advanced features. You can still use it just like a standard two button mouse, but if you are looking to use any of the touchpad's with the advanced internet buttons, etc, you won't be able to do so. Word has it that Fellowes is working on a driver, but it's not out and there's no date as to when it will be.
Overall, I love the touchpad and think that it is much more useful than a standard mouse.

- Changes between Pen mode and Mouse mode at a touch of a button
- Compact and light - Perfect for notebook users
- Ergonomic design - Engineered for your hand

Great product! Somebody should have thought of this sooner.First of all, the mouse works great; it can be used on almost any surface (except clear glass or white paper). The pen's a little "full-bodied", which makes it difficult to grab, at times, but other than that, it's a nice tool to have. I can hardly wait until they release the wireless version(s), but the cord dangling off it is not too bad.
Second, their customer support is GREAT!!!!! When my I-Pen arrived, I noticed that the right mouse button was sticking, and I could only get it to work about half of the time. I went to their web page and got a response back within a few hours indicating that my unit was defective, and another one was on the way. The second unit works great, and thus my faith in capitalism was restored :)
As for the carpal tunnel, I'll keep you posted....
UPDATE: Just wanted to let you know about the carpal tunnel issue; this thing has really helped me. I now have writer's cramp, but that's another story (j/k). Seriously, I love this product. I'm still waiting for the wireless version, but I have found that this simple tool has really helped me be more productive for longer periods of time.

Reasonable item for the price warWell I've been impressed since then. It runs perfectly fine, and I haven't had any problems since I bought it all those months ago. If you're looking for an optical mouse but you don't have the resources to get one of the $30 and up models (like I can't) then I would definately suggest you get this.

Excellent Mouse at Excellent Price

If you like your laptop keyboard, you'll like this productUnlike some other combination keyboard/pointing devices, this one works very well. They keyboard feel is quite good, with a very short, sharp throw on each key, and a well positioned and easy to use pointing device. The only problem with this keyboard is that it is laid out like a laptop keyboard, which means that some keys are too small and oddly located.
In all, its a good choice if you want a keyboard on your desktop that matches the keyboard on your laptop

Great concept, didn't work with my laptopMy advice, check your computer/laptop before buying this. It'll save you from having to buy another mouse.

PPT interface: Great; Laser: so-soThe laser is rather weak. If you have a white background, the audience cannot see it. The laser is well collimated, so it makes no difference if you are 1 foot from the screen or 30.
The flash memory key is a good idea on paper, but our group has only been hampered by it: Windows (by default) sees this device as an empty floppy disk, so if the numbskull that is giving the talk decides to reboot the PC, the reboot freezes until you remove the key/flashmemory/antenna. (It took me way too long to figure THAT one out).
