I wuv my cordless keyboard and mousie!
Totally pleased.Anyway, the cordless thing is the issue here. I set up the little box under my desk by plugging its 2 wires into the keyboard & mouse ports on the back of my computer (you can use USB for either or both if you prefer), put the batteries (supplied) into the mouse & keyboard (2 AAs each), slid the CD into my PC and with Windows XP, set-up was nearly automatic. Total installation time (including my attaching the little box with velcro to the underside of the desk) was under 10 minutes.
Accuracy is 100%. Range is more than adequate (i.e. better than your visual range). Battery life has been about 2 months for the mouse and about 4 months for the keyboard. Now, it may cost a little more, but the convenience of never having to get those 2 wires tangled anymore has really been great.

Fantastic for laptop/portables...but not for desktops.I would definitely not recommend this device though for use with a desktop system because of the fact that the chord would probably not work in a desktop setting.

for any artist!i use the wacom tablet daily! i use the mouse as a regular mouse on the tablet and it works great! it's so customized that even other people have trouble using it because they do not hold their hand in a certain way! the only negative thing is that i have not yet found how to program the middle scroll button using the included wacom program.
the BAD: the pen is too easy to knock off the stand when upright, cord is way too short [buy an USB extension cord], mouse could be more ergonomic and lightweight
Excelent tool!

A fantastic addition to my existing input device arsenal...I purchased the tablet primarily for my work in retouching photos and creating web graphics. However, I have found myself using it as my primary GUI navigation (web browsing, drag & drop) device, as well. I find it extremely natural to hold the Graphire's stylus, although after prolonged use I do tend to periodically switch back to my Intellimouse to prevent cramping in my hand. This is more an ergonomics lesson -- you know, the "Take breaks every 15-30 minutes" one no one follows -- than a negative aspect of the Graphire. :) I would have bought the Graphire even if it had not come with the wireless mouse which, while I have no doubt is precise, I do not find as comfortable or useful as my Intellimouse (I love its browser "Back" button capability and the smoother wheel operation).
While I had never seriously used a graphics tablet before, I have been a PDA (Casio Cassiopeia E-115) user for almost 2 years so I am very familiar with stylus-based input. I enjoy the natural feel of the Graphire's stylus so much I have taken to using it instead of my PDA's stylus when I need to update info. on my PDA while it's docked at my desk.
I'd recommend "test driving" a graphics tablet before buying as you will either love it or hate it. I'm definitely in the "love it" category... but it doesn't replace my Intellimouse entirely.

love the options and transportabilityNo matter what platform you are on, as long as you have USB connection this product will fit in your case as you transport.
I am a computer graphics pro and art director and use this tablet with my portable mac, plus at my workstation with 23" monitor. I love the versatility of the pressure-sensitive pen in Photoshop & Painter software. The cordless mouse option is a MUST when I am giving presentations.
Buy it and LOVE it..
great valueA great product, with great extra software too!
I was hesitant about the size, but once you get use to it it is great!
I have had this on the desktop PC at home for a year and it's operated flawlessly. I couldn't be more pleased.
