The most ridiculous "pointing device" I've ever usedWhat a USELESS device! The track-pad tends to be sticky and difficult to use, the buttons, though appropriately placed, were not nearly enough for "web racing," as I found myself having to resort to my keyboard as often as I used the WebRacer.
The included software worked decently, but was still not enough to make up for the inadequacies of the WebRacer itself.
My advice: stick to your mouse and keyboard!

ARGHHH!!! REALLY A BAD MOUSE!Please dont buy it. Choice a Logitech or Microsoft one, because the diammond tech is not good at all. Kessington, try to do more research in optical technology and release a good product.
An excellent value for an optical, wireless mouse.

WRONG Keyboard2) The product photo (white keyboard) that you see here on Amazon is NOT the keyboard that you will receive. The white keyboard photo is for the 64330 keyboard, not the 64350 keyboard. For a detailed description of the "64350" keyboard that you will receive, go [online.]P>3) After promising a full refund (including shipping), and after returning the keyboard, Office Depot did not even refund the full amount of the keyboard plus taxes! After calling up and complaining, they again said they would offer a full refund.
4) Over a week has gone by and Office Depot has not corrected the incorrect keyboard image on this web page.
Excellent repalcement keyboard for USB Apple computersThe Kensington 64350 is a great replacement for the old style compact iMac keyboard and standard Apple USB keyboards.

Unstable
TrackBall Comes Of AgeThe wireless version works, for me, as well as a wired version, but with more flexibility. You need to keep the main trackball unit within a reasonable distance of the wireless receiver (within six feet, according to the manufacturer.) If you merely want to eliminate the wire, this is great. If you want to sit across the room, the Turbo Mouse Pro Wireless may not be the answer.
Setup is fairly straight-forward. Connect the wireless receiver to a free USB port on your Mac. Make sure the channel-select switch is set to the same position on both the receiver and the Turbo Mouse. (There is a two-position channel selector, in case of radio interference.)
The trackball uses AA batteries. If you are going to leave your Turbo Mouse unused for more than a few days, you should probably remove the batteries. Also, check periodically to see the batteries are sufficiently charged.
Kensington has also been working on the MouseWorks software. You will probably need to download an update from the Kensington web site. The version I received with mine was still beta. I have since downloaded a few different updates and it works fine with Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther).
There are a total of ten buttons and a scroll-wheel. The four buttons surrounding the ball itself are for mouse click and dragging options and can be customized to suit your needs.
There are also six programmable buttons lining the top portion of the Turbo Mouse Pro. These buttons can be programmed to launch any application or jump to a favorite web page.
If you have never used a track ball before, this can take some getting used to. However, once you become accustomed to the feel and operation, you won't want to go back to a traditional mouse.
Pros: Flexible, easy to use, programmable. Scroll wheel is a nice bonus. Wireless. Smooth and precise tracking.
Cons: Large and awkward at first. OS X version of MouseWorks software still lacks some of the features of the original Mac OS 8 & 9 versions. No low-battery indicator.

- Enjoy ultra-precise, ultra-smooth operation thanks to the improved MX Optical Engine
- Zip back and forth between open documents with the handy Quick Switch button
- Use convenient buttons to navigate forward and back in your web browser
- Control tracking, speed, and button programming with Logitech's gaming-tuned MouseWare software
- Compatible with Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, 2000, Me, XP; Macintosh OS X

If you buy this, prepare yourself for lots of aggravationThe drivers provided are insufficient in themselves and those of you that got your computer with Windows 98 preinstalled will find it difficult to insert the Windows 98 CD that the Install Wizard requests (it says it cannot fine some hidden usb system files on the C drive - though I did find them in an archived zip format. Upon extracting them to the prompted file, my computer crashed. I used Config Safe to get things back to normal - though I am still not sure if it could get rid of the problem this "compatible" mouse was causing.
Maybe I am an amateur -- but the bottom line is you will have problems with this.
Great product, great price!

DisappointingSorry, if you need to use the middle mouse button (the ball doubles as middle button) a lot, especially by holding it down, then forget this mouse. In addition if you're using it in trackball mode the scroll functions are tranfered to the optics in the bottom and the slightest movement will shift your cursor off target. This problem is compounded by the stiff button action which means you have to grip the mouse firmly while pressing the buttons.
Also the tiny trackball doesn't have much range, something that might have been solved by the drivers but I really needed something that could be moved to different computers without installing drivers all the time.
End result, an essentially unusable mouse. I'm very disappointed.
Another winning no name brand productThe first time was almost 6 year ago- a vendor was selling a mouse without a ball. It had 2 small pads that could detect X & Y motion. I have 2 of those and it still works great today. They require absolutely no cleaning. I remember seeing those mice back in the mid 80s as part of workstations sold by DEC. I always wanted one of them and finally someone sold one- not the main stream vendors like IBM or Microsoft- but a small no-name vendor.
Fast forward to the present when optical mice are finally affordable and plentiful and often all designed in the same way... it is refreshing to see yet again a small vendor has taken the idea and innovated on it.
The track ball on top of this device is surprisingly usable. The accompanying software lets you control the ball in a variety of ways - e.g. as a 2D scroll ball or as a up/down scroll ball + page back and forth for easy web browsing.
You can also press down on the ball so it serves as a 3rd button that you can bind to other functions like, opening new apps or zoom in on the screen.
The ball is removable so that it can be cleaned- good thinking on starlogic's part.
Installation software comes on a floppy. I recommend you copy it to your local harddrive first before installing.
There is no company web site. So help comes from either a 1800# or email to support.
I use it under WinXP. Docs indicate it works under all Win OS'.
Also it does not come with a USB to PS2 connector.
