Good for those who can't use their desk surface. The surface works ok but does not seem to be any more "precise" than my desk. It does protect my desktop, but this mouse pad occasionally slides across my desk when I'm moving the mouse. The mousing surface is thin which makes it relatively unobtrusive and makes up a bit for the fact that it moves sometimes. However, the colors/patterns that are available are not very attractive. Who wants a "puddle of water" on their desk, anyway?
All in all I'd say it is not a bad solution if you need to protect your desk or if your desk surface is reflective and can't be used with an optical mouse. However, I can't recommend it for general use.

Limited support for audio------------
Greetings,
Thank you for contacting us.
Subwoolfers are not supported by this KVM. It will only support a powered two speaker setup. We are changing the packaging to reflect this.
I apologize for any inconvenience.
------------
...very disappointing, as this not-so-minor detail is not mentioned anywhere on IOGEAR's website, not in the product brochure.
Aside from this drawback, the switch works as you'd expect. One minor gripe I have is that the hotkey sequence 'ctrl-alt-shift-#', where '#' corresponds to the computer you'd like to access, is kind of a pain. My previous KVM switch used a double-tap of the scroll lock key...which became second nature after using it for a while. I'm not sure why such a long hotkey combination is necessary. Granted, this is only a minor drawback. On the possitive side, setup was a no-brainer, and my Logitech wireless keyboards works perfectly (despite IOGEAR's warning that wireless keyboard and mice aren't fully supported).
Bottom line? If audio is important to you and you have more than two speakers, you'll definitely want to consider other options. If audio's not important, you may still be able to find a cheaper 4-port KVM swich which does not have audio integration.

Tasteful design, but not quite there yet. Here's data I got from their website and my comments on each in brackets:
-Work without hesitation, delay or interference thanks to QuickRF wireless technology. (Could we stand it any other way? This is the standard in all cordless mice, not the exception.)
-Programmable buttons and award-winning MouseWorks® software reduce repetitive tasks to a single click. (I don't know about MAC's but in Windows, you can program any button to do whatever you want and that is without using vendor mouse software)
-Unique shape and design provide ultimate control and comfort for right-handed users. (sweet, as long as you're right handed)
-DiamondEye optical technology for unmatched acceleration control and ultra-high-speed tracking. (hmm, something i like)
-Four mouse buttons and scroll wheel, scroll wheel is also 5th button. (standard on all mice that cost over 5 bucks)
-Guaranteed to work right out of the box with PC and Mac. (Imagine if a company was to claim that they don't guarantee to work out of box? "Gee Maam, sorry.. we dont guarantee their all gonna work. Maybe you should buy another and try again."
-5-year warranty and free technical support. (nice)
Overall not too bad, but you can do better than this. I would like to recommend the Logitech MX700 instead of this. Look at em both side by side and see who copied who, as well as what was left out: On mouse low battery warning light, higher DPI rating, rechargability.

- Kensington Edge: Ultra-compact mouse designed for easy packing, storage, and use on the road.
- DiamondEye(TM) optical technology tracks precisely on virtually any surface
- Two buttons and a scroll wheel are much more convenient and comfortable than a touchpad or pointer.
- Retractable cord eliminates tangled wires
- USB connection works with PCs and Macs

Nice mouse, if you're a traveller. At first glance, the mouse is ideal; It's optical, boosts a scrollwheel, and has a retractable cable. Also, it's extremely small, which makes it very easy to store in one's laptop carrying case.
However, the small size is also the mouse's disadvantage. I took the mouse to work today, and by now my hand is starting to hurt. I'm afraid that if I'd use this one day-in, day-out, I'll soon be left with RSI.
To sum things up: If you have a need for a non-cordless (i.e. in planes), small USB mouse that you will not use for very long periods of time, this is your mouse. For daily use though, I'd recommend getting a bigger version.

The eye of the mouse...

Great Size Keyboard but...The mouse is fine too except that I had to put it back together out of the box. It snapped back together but that seems odd. I am not going to use the mouse so I wasn't too concerned.
The keyboard has 3 buttons to control the computer. ON/OFF, SLEEP, and WAKE UP but it might as well not have them. I wonder if they are even attached to the keyboard or are just there for looks. It didn't come with any software. When I looked for a driver online it said that Windows would detect the keyboard and install the right driver. Not really, I had to do it manually myself. The buttons still don't work. Probably never will. Oh well, only $14.00.
