Don't bother
I was got this product thinking it would be more comfortable for me because i am on the computer many many hours, but it did nothing. First off the pad provides very little support because when you put your wrist on it the little bit of gel that is in there goes to the side. (and there is a very small amount of gel) Leaving you back on a hard surface. Also it provides a very small surface for you to move the mouse around. To top that the very hard smooth surface gives the mouse ball no grip and you find yourself moving the mouse but it is just sliding on the surface.
IF YOU OWN AN OPTICAL MOUSE IT WILL NOT WORK on this mousepad. I have recently givin this product to a friend who ended up throwing it in the garbage!

Almost perfect except for two fatal flaws
I love the hard surface, I have not had any complaints about the mouse pad part at all. However, the wrist rest is not the best it could be. My major problem with it is the one centimeter bump between the rest and the actual mouse pad. It is raised up a little bit so it is impossible to move the mouse back to touch the wrist rest. While you would not think such a little space to be so important, it virtually renders the rest useless. I have big hands too so if it was going to work for anyone, it would be me. I find that I really have to move the mouse diagonally to get it close enough for my hand to reach while still on the rest.

The other flaw is that there is not enough padding in the wrist rest itself. Perhaps if it was up higher it would solve the other problem. I have not seen many other items that come close to this in terms of a hard surface with a wrist rest, but for [price], I think I will have to return this and keep looking.

One last note, if you have a small mouse such as the ones that came with iMac, this might be perfect, but for big PC mice, it just doesn't fit the bill.

Rough on the rodent
I have a kind of love hate relationship with this mouse pad. I bought it because my hand was constantly going numb while at the PC, and in that respect this product is a marvel. Not only did it offer a comfortable cradle for my wrist, thus stopping the numbness, it also has a nifty litle channel at the top to click your mouse cable into to stop it whipping all over your workspace. The gel is a great idea, and you can even pop it into the fridge to cool it if you already have a sore wrist from over anxious surfing. The actual pad surface is made of plastic, but is textured to offer traction, looking like thousands of tiny half-spheres, and I found no problem with the ball sliding or skipping, but in the time I've had it, two problems have arisen. The first is that because I set my mouse on a high sensitivity, it tends to be tracking over the same small area of the pad repeatedly, an area which has now worn completely smooth in less than 6 months. The second problem is that because the surface has such a fine texture, it tends to wear away the little pads that the mouse slides on, though this seems to have been more of a problem on my cheaper mouse than on mu Microsoft mouse. I'd love to see this same product with the pad area constructed from a slightly more forgiving substance, maybe even interchangeable inserts for the pad area. While it has lasted though, it has served its purpose admirably, I just don't think it will hold out a great deal longer.

    Chinese Junk
This mouse has been cleverly engineered so that the bottom cover can't be removed to allow you to clean the ball and rollers. After it starts acting erratically (which won't take long) due to dirt on the ball on rollers, you have to toss it. I'm going to replace it with a Microsoft Mouse and I suggest you do too.

    This Mouse Hates Keyboards
It really isn't that this mouse is the worst, it is just that it seems to be useless if you do not have a basic keyboard (ie: just the 101 keys, no easy one-touch access keys).

When I used my basic keyboard it worked fine, no faults. But with the enhanced keyboard it would lock up the computer or just stop functioning.

So instead of buying this mouse, you should look into the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. For only a couple of dollars more you could have the reliability and stability of a mouse that will be fully supported by a Windows system.

    Good Value Optical Mouse
I purchased this mouse to replace the normal track-ball mouse that came with my computer. The operating system automatically detected the mouse right away, and I did not have to do any further setup/installation/configuration. Scroll wheel support was automatically set, and I have no problems using it with my enhanced keyboard. A great buy to replace your current mouse!

Sorry, but is not a review, it's just some information to help you to figure out what is this product. The three star is a so-so rating, maybe it's a good product but Neoware must help us with more information at Amazon ;-).

      I am sorry
The other review was also writen by me. I wrote it before buying the product. Now that I have the pad, I learned it is really bad. It is just like a mouse pad but is long.

      The cool key pad
This is an OK pad. It is a little exspensive, but it is still a good bargain. When you type for long hours the pad helps your finger relax.

        Stay away from this p.o.s.
I bought this mouse for the geek factor of having a fan built into it to cool off my hand. Not terribly practical, but a neat little touch. At $15, the price certainly seemed right. There is a major problem I've had with this mouse, though, and after a little bit of forum searching I've found that I'm not the only one. Now and then, seemingly at random, the mouse will stop responding and I'll have to unplug it and then replug it back into the USB port to get it working again. Not exactly convenient when I'm in the middle of a round of UT2004 or Battlefield 1942. I would recommend staying away from this cheapo mouse and spending the extra cash to get something sturdy and dependable from Logitech or Microsoft.

Not great, but I don't regret the purchase...
There doesn't appear to be a huge market (last I checked, two commercially available) for mice with fans built in, but for those of us with hands that are too warm for comfort, these efforts are appreciated. And let us not forget the computer case modders that originally brought us the idea by hacking away at the internals of their own mice.

I'm more a fan of the typical Microsoft mice because they fit the shape of my hands perfectly, but at work where it's a little warmer in the office, I'm found using the nYko air flo. The noise level is quieter than I thought, but the level of air flow is also slightly lower than I had hoped for.

There are ribs on the edges of the mouse, presumably to promote air flow (not sure if that's for induction or not), however they do not provide the most comfortable surface for the tips of my fingers to rest on.

Mouse tracking is what I expect from any decent optical mouse, and clicking and wheel-feel is reminiscent of higher-priced mice.

A strange noise now accompanies the starting of the fans (small switch located on the bottom of the mouse, providing two speeds) after only a week of use. It tends to go away after 10 seconds or so, but it's quite audible and distracting (sounds like the fan is coming in contact with something in the mouse).

I will continue to use it, since it keeps my hand significantly cooler and dryer than normal, but I hope some improvements are made in the future. I do feel that the price was low enough to help me deal with the minor issues I have with it.

Belkin 3-Button Aerocruiser Scroll Mouse USB/PS2 with Scroll Wheel (F8E888)

          Poor value and design
The wing on the aerocruiser floats in the air, which makes it feel like it is going to break off the mouse any time. To change the colors you need to get a screwdriver and open the inside. And it seems rather pricy for a ball mouse (not optical). Finally, this mouse "for the 21st century and beyond" doesn't even come with XP drivers, so to use the optional features, you need to install old drivers. I simply used the standard mouse driver to avoid compatibility problems, but it is simply unacceptable to not offer XP drivers.

          No way!
This product is not worth anything all it does is add 6 feet of extra wire clutter. What can a 6 foot extension do for you??? If your'e planning to buy this for a serial mouse don't bother it doesn't really help I suggest a wireless. It may be ok for a monitor extension but i can't see why you would want to move a monitor an extra 6 feet.

Green Gel Crystal Mousepad/wrtransparent Mouse Pad/wrist Rest

            Clarification
Contrary to the confusing title and photograph included with this product, all that you get if you buy this product is the mousepad with a built-in wrist-rest.

The keyboard wrist-rest and the small stand-alone wrist-rest that are shown in the product photograph are not included. A more representative picture is the one used in the listing for the Fellowes blue gel mousepad.

As for the product quality, it seems fine. However, the mouse surface (which is covered with normal plastic, not the "gel" material) is a little too smooth for my mousing tastes.

              USB connection ONLY.
While it does not mention it in the specs for this product, this mouse connects through the USB port. It does not connect through the PS/2 port. The listing for the contents on the box says IBM Travel Mouse, USB connector, User's Manual. This is not strictly true. The travel mouse only connects through the USB port and there is no seperate USB connector. The owner's manual contains a link for technical support, and very little else. However the web site for MicroInnovations does not admit to making or selling the Travel Mouse, so there is no technical support available online for this product. There is no driver for this mouse. So even with an adaptor, you cannot use the PS/2 port with this mouse. While I like the shape, size and color of this mouse, the connectivity problems give it a very poor rating.

                Trackball doesn't work
If you want a cheap optical USB mouse, then this is ok. If you're getting this because you want a portable/small trackball mouse, then look elsewhere.

I tried this on three different computers (with Windows XP and 2000), and as a regular optical mouse, it worked fine, but once you switched over to trackball (read the instruction manual, don't throw it away!), then all I could get out of the trackball is a short, jerky left and right motion -- it wouldn't move up and down at all! The responsiveness of the so-called '4D' scroll ball was sluggish, when I had it in standard mouse mode.

If you want a trackball, I'd recommend Logitech. If you want something portable, Targus also makes one similar to this that I haven't tried yet.

                Good luck!
