Doesn't even work half the time
It is all in the title. The first time I tried to use the slim keyboard it wouldn't work. I tried a number of time here and there but never could get it to do anything when I typed on the keys. I tired it again a few months later and the miracle is that the keyboad worked. Then I recharged my ipaq and tried the slim keyboard again and again it didn't work. I have tried a number of thing thinking it was perhaps me who was stupid. Turns out it is the key board that is stupid. Go figure. Well HP looks as if you have done it again.

Good hardware concept - poorly executed software
Keyboard is well designed and fits solidly to Ipaq. Keys are well defined and provide positive feedback when pressed. A see-through plastic cover like the one that comes with the basic unit is attached to the keyboard and serves to protect the screen if the unit is in your pocket or briefcase. Overall good ergonomics for the hardware.
I'd like to say I leave the slim keyboard attached all the time and use it regularly, but I don't because it doesn't deliver in performance. The software is buggy and conflicts with other programs. Sometimes it works fine, other times it types random characters - other times it doesn't type at all. Despite HP's updates to the driver, it is still buggy, so it sits in a drawer until HP releases another update, then I'll try it again. I also have the HP folding keyboard which I use regularly without any problems, so I have to conclude it is a problem with the slim keyboard. Attempts to bring the problems to the attention of HP resulted in no reply to my emails.

Buy a Logitech
This mouse is nice and comfortable, the scroll wheel is smooth and thats about all that is good. The mouse falls asleep like the other reviewers said and it is extremely annoying to try to get it to wake up every five seconds. I just bought a Wireless Logitech mouse for my laptop and have tried my friends Logitech mouse and they are both smooth and dont fall asleep. You move it and they move right away. With this IBM you have to click and click and wait then it decides to wake up. Horrible.

Amen to that One Fatal Flaw
As has been discussed in other reviews, that "fall asleep" attribute is extremely annoying. Sometimes you feel like you need to slam it against the wall to wake the blasted thing back up. I returned mine for a refund.

I suppose it's a "feature" to preserve battery life. I think I can afford to buy a few more batteries, thank you. If the manufacturers really want this "feature," then they should have provided a mechanism that allows the user to configure it. E.g., "go to sleep" after 15 minutes of inactivity instead of 2.

I should add that the software package that comes with it has problems as well. In particular, there's a "sonar" feature that locates the mouse pointer for you when you press the "Ctrl" key. Unfortunately, this feature "breaks" too easily, especially if you try it after the mouse has "gone to sleep." Then it won't work again until after a reboot. (My system is Win98 1st Edition; obviously your mileage may vary on other versions of Windows.)

OK, except for one HUGE flaw
At a first glance, this is a good mouse just because it's wireless and optical. It's comfortable, and the scroll wheel is just smooth enough. Unfortunately, it has one big problem which forced me to return the mouse and exchange it for the far super Logitech MX700 mouse. The problem is this: the mouse falls asleep if you leave it alone for a minute or so, and then you have to move it quite a bit before it wakes up. So, whenever you want to move the mouse after leaving it alone for a bit, it just doesn't respond for several seconds. This is incredibly annoying. So I wouldn't recommend this one.

Junk, period.
This is the worst gamepad I've ever seen in Logitech's line up. There are few very buttons, making it useless for almost any game. There is no start button which many have gotten accustomed to nowadays. The buttons on the right are so tiny! They feel odd and qwerky when pressed. Logitech has been known for making some of best game controllers out there, and I don't see why they went to make this so poorly. I'm very dissapointed in this product, thus do not recommend to anyone.

Junk
Brand new, won't even calibrate properly. Save your money. Logitech should be ashamed for putting out such a piece of [junk].

D pad is horrible
I bought this to play Nascar 2002 mainly so I thought this would maybe be O.K. Not so...Action is terrible...worse than a 20 year old Atari controller. So unless you like to crash or get your...whipped in fighting games ...spend a few more bucks.

NOT WORKS
I tried to use this item with 3 types of PS/2 mice and never works.

PS/2 to serial? No, just wiring
Don't expect this device to work for all types of mice. After you've got one, as you may find soon if your mouse does not come with a PS/2-Serial switch, then this device means money wasted. No internal hardware, except some wires connecting the 6pin Mini DIN connector to the 9 pin serial connector is all this adapter does. If your mouse hardware interface goes out PS/2 only, then this device is not what you need!

    undependable
mouse is undependable- choppy and this can be a real problem when playing games.

    Dirty Mouse Balls!
Sure it's wireless, but no where does it mention that it is optical?
Why cut the cord and still have to deal with a mechanical device? That is SO 20th Century!

    No more dirty mouse balls!

Inferior Product. Do Not Buy this product.
While the wireless keyboard works OK, the rechargable wireless optical mouse has a ton of problems. To name a few, the rechargable mouse doesn't charge all the time. So you often end up with a "dead" mouse even if you leave it on the charger overnight. The mouse also has a EXTREMELY POOR range. It only works within 2-3 feet of the receiver WITHOUT ANY OBSTACLES. Furthermore, the optical sensor on the mouse often can't detect movement. So you can move your mouse any way you want and the pointer on the screen just sits there. Last but not least, the mouse goes into "power save" mode too fast ans too often. So you constantly have to "wake up" the mouse in order to use it. I tried to contact technical support from Memorex about the inferior mouse, and I was told that "It's normal. They are all like that." So I gave up and bought myself a "lo-gi-tec" one and this one has no problem so far. In conclusion. The Memorex RF6000 has a extremely poorly made mouse which should not be marketed in the first place. I am very disappointed about the product.

      dont get it
reception with this thing is lousy. It periodically 'stalls' when you're moving the mouse. very annoying. I have it on a desk right next to another (different brand) cordless kb/mouse, and that one works fine.
I highly suggest you buy something else.

      Software Loading Problems?
No matter how many times I tried, I could not load the software successfully. Every time, somewhere along the line, there was an error message.

Then, as the prior reviewer noted, the two-button function seemed as usual for any other mouse. However, if I put it in 'pc' mode, it would lock up, or, if started there, would not even be recognized. Only by setting the switch to 'ms' mode would it recognize.

Like the prior poster, I could not make the middle button do *anything* - even though the setup page was quite complete with all the options shown, I could not make the button do anything.

The lack of documentation is appalling. Nowhere did I find any reference to how to make the scroll function work. The scroll button seems to be only a one-way (forward end moving, rear hinged) possibility, but the setup page refers to both axes - without any mention of how to engage it or reverse it.

It goes back tomorrow if I can't find their site to download a new set of drivers to test.

I *did* like the ps2 with serial adapter feature, as I have machines with both, and that's usually an extra-cost item...

      MicroNet 3 button mouse # PD971
The left and right buttons function as any other mouse would normally do @ any price range, however.......the middle scroll button refuses to respond at all! Software for this item has been loaded and unloaded several times and it still fails to do what the product info claims it will do! Would not reccomend this product at all!

Targus PAKP003U Wireless Keypad and Mouse Combo
Disappointing performance. Frequent re-install necessary because it loses its linking ID. More trouble than it is worth. I went back to cords.

      Run Away!!!!
Wireless mouse did not reach more than 1 foot from receiver; also not clear that the mouse and keypad are much smaller than standard; hard to type on keypad, mouse difficult to manipulate.

        PIcture totally misleading
This item is not what is appears to be from the picture. The picture shows a wrist rest which appears to be connected to a mouse pad. This item is actually only a small wrist rest- there is no mouse pad attached. It is also a totally different shape and is smaller than even the wrist rest in the picture.

          These cables are JUNK!
Don't buy this unit unless you're going to use it for a clothsline. That's all it's good for. The connections are loose and it turned my video display into a bunch of scrambled lines. I only gave it one star because zero stars was not on the drop down list.

And because it comes from Office/Tech-Depot it's not as easy to return. To bad I couldn't give it negative stars because of this.
