It Works!!
Easy setup, I received this package and was eagerto install. Sharring a printer. One thing to mention it does require on regular printer cable and TWO male to male cables to hook two pc's up to one printer. So order an extra cable with it. Easy set up again, didn't have to install any HW for the printer. Seems to take jobs very fast.

No complaints at all
The Bitronics Autoswitch works just as you'd expect. I boughtit at amazon.com to switch between a HP Laserjet 6L and an HP Officejet scanner/printer/fax... the Laserjet is my main printer, but occasionally I use the Officejet to scan pictures and the like. (And note that there's no problem using bi-directional devices like scanners.)

It works like a champ. No need to install the (optional) software, no need to plug it in-- just hook up the cables and you're good to go. You just press a button to switch between the two devices.

Only thing to know is that there's nothing "automatic" about this-- you need to do the switching yourself. The word "automatic" refers to another way you can use this switch-- to hook two PCs up to a single device. I don't need this capability, so I haven't tried it.

Good product.

Great AutoSwitch, very easy to use
I bought this model last year to switch between my HP Laser and Canon color ink jet. It's great -- very easy to switch back and forth, easy to hook up. I would recommend, however, purchasing the extra AC power plug (information on ordering should come with the AutoSwitch) -- without it I occasionally had problems with glitches in the data sent to one printer or the other.

excellent value!
For a great price here's exactly what you'll get:

(1) SurgeMaster II surge protector (even has coax protector)

(1) 100FT 16 guage transparent speaker wires

(3) 2-way "F" coax splitters

(2) 3FT coax cables

(5) 6FT coax cables

(1) 6FT single RCA cable

(2) 6FT dual (stereo) RCA cable

(2) 6FT tripple (audio/video) RCA cable

All connectors are gold plated.

Okay, I admit, these cables are not "monster grade" quality cables. But still, I'm very pleased with the results I'm getting with my TV/DVD/VHS system.

astonishing deal
Got my first kit two weeks ago. I'm buying my second kit right now. You get a great surge protector. Tons of multiple types of gold connector cabling (component interconnects, cable box connectors, video cables, gold splitters, more), 100 feet of quality speaker wire. This is a steal.

So far, So good
In setting up a Home Office, I sought an easy means to switch between a WinXP box and Apple System. This gave me that and more. I highly recommend the unit for anyone attempting to cut down on wire clutter and empower themselves with a one-click method for switching in between systems and operating systems.

Go Fire wire!
I have a Sony DV TRV 250 and I wanted to transfer my videos on to my computer in a painless way because the software that came with the sony camcorder just doesn't work and the picture quality is nothing compared to this. I attached this fire wire cable and within seconds I saw my videos on the PC with the help of the DVD software. The resolution and the picture quality was awesome not to forget the fact that all of this worked within seconds! I would highly recommend the monster fire wire cable to make your camcorder experience more easier and enjoyable!

This is a must buy if your speaker cord isn't long enough.
If your looking for a longer cord you MUST get this, theres not a drop in quality of sound or anything. When I got my new computer my tower wouldn't fit under my computer desk so I had to set the tower at the side of the desk which turned out perfectly except that the cord for my speakers wouldn't reach the computer and I had to prop the computer on some folded up cardboard to get the cord to reach, but the worst part about that is that I had to reverse my speakers (and you gamers know that, thats not good espicially when your playing a game that depends on sound like Thief or System Shock)but I came here to this site and they had what I needed. Im happy with my setup now that the cord can reach. Well I don't want to take too much space but if your reading this go and get this cord you won't regret it.

Great Part for your home audio system
This is a great part of your home audio system should you decide to hook your computer or other device with a minijack plug in to it. A good long cable (other lengths are sold both in a M HP-10 and in the THX series). If you are unsatisfied with your current speakers, and have a good hifi system, but lack the digital connections such as S/PDIF out or Optical on your system, this is the way to go.

Well worth the $$$
I previously had tried to connect my PC sound card to my stereo receiver in order to play my MP3's on a real system and not my subpar computer speakers...but the sound I got from those cables, was absolutely horrendous. I quickly did more research and discovered Monster Cable's 20' minijack-to-RCA cable (perfect since my PC and stereo are on opposite sides of my room, I still have cable length to spare) and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality sound reproduction. Of course, the sound coming out of your stereo will depend on the quality of that component itself, but with Monster Cable's dual cable and single length (no extension cords to cause dissipation of the sound signal) you too will want to get this equipment...Especially, if you're an audiophile and listen to MP3's all the time, like me.

Not sure if it's worth the money? Read on.
If you're like me, you are probably wondering if these little cables are actually worth the money. I was using cheap thin wired connections before, and my receiver would have LOTS of background noise and buzzing, so I thought I'd go ahead and give these things a shot. Afterall, I listen to MP3's all the time on my computer through my high end receiver. I'll tell you what, these things work great, and are worth the extra money. Now keep in mind, I'm an audiophile who is very picky about sounds. So for the casual listener who doesn't mind occasional background hissing or lack of crystal clear sound transfer from your computer to your receiver, you might be able to find a cheaper connection. But once again, I think the extra $$ is well worth it and I HIGHLY recomend these. Your only concern here is an economical one. As far as the product is concerned, these things are top notch. Get the 20 feet if you have to go across the a long wall or room to connect your computer to the receiver, otherwise the 10 ft should suffice.

don't trust them
i've tried to use this on two macs. terrible results

m-audio does not have forums on their site.

there is a reason. their drivers are unreliable and highly incompatible.

absolutely refuse to provide any documentation nor do they accept returns.

if you value the stability of your computer, stay clear. stay well clear.

so easy to use
I have been using this interface with both a Mac and a PC and it works well with both. Great product!

Great for home use. Install the driver for your Mac!
This is a good adapter for home use. Having been a roadie, I can pretty confidently say the Midisport Uno's build quality isn't roadworthy -- the attached MIDI cables are about as thin as the RCA cables that come with most home audio equipment, nowhere near as tough as patch cords for a stage rig. But the average home user, who's not plugging and unplugging in a hurry and stepping on the equipment and such, should have no worries. I have one, and it works fine.

A note about appearance: My Uno's body (the oval part, smaller than an average computer mouse) is a deep translucent blue, rather than the opaque color in the current photo here on Amazon. Also, the cables are all one color, black, though the IN and OUT plugs are clearly labeled in molded lettering. There are three green LEDs: one that lights up when the computer recognizes the adapter, one for MIDI in signals, and one for MIDI out -- handy for troubleshooting.

I bought the Uno to connect my Roland alphaJuno-2 to my PowerBook and play with GarageBand. I took it out of the packaging (a rare treat: a molded clamshell-type plastic package that isn't heat-sealed, so it doesn't have to be cut to shreds to open) and hooked it up, and nothing happened. I initially thought that Mac OS X would recognize it automatically, so it took me a few minutes to realize I needed to install the driver software. Although there are drivers on the included CD-ROM, I downloaded the latest version from the manufacturer's web site, installed, and the Uno instantly lit up and GarageBand informed me (because I already had the Roland powered up) that a MIDI device was now connected. It's worked flawlessly since.

Simple to use; no extra cables to attach -- I think this is the perfect USB MIDI adapter for GarageBand users or anyone else connecting one MIDI keyboard to a computer at home.

Nice Small Remote, but Keyspan has bad Customer Care.
I found this remote easy to install and set up with my iMac G4. You can customize the buttons on the remote to do virtually anything from moving the mouse cursor to keyboard commands to quiting and opening different applications.

The only problem I have had was when I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.3 Panther, the volume buttons no longer operate the system volume anymore. I have sent MULTIPLE emails to Keyspan with only a reply saying they will respond in 72 hours, but THEY DONT! Everytime I try to call nobody answers the phone.

In conclusion, this is a great remote for controlling everything on your computer from a few feet away, but beware if you need any technical support because they may not be there to help you.

Does exactly what it should
This device makes it much more enjoyable to watch DVDs and listen to music on my computer. I use Windows XP, and it was very easy to install the software (which can also be downloaded from the manufacturer's Web site, by the way) After this I plugged the infrared receiver into a USB port, and started using the remote immediately. Commands for about 25 applications are pre-programmed, but you may have to do some configuring with the remote's software to control some other programs. I had to do this for iTunes for Windows and WinDVD, for instance. It did take some time and concentration to do this extra programming, but the manual is comprehensive and well-written, and the manufacturer seems to offer good customer support on their Web site, if you should end up needing it. Now that I've got it set up, it works perfectly.

With latest drivers, it works with both mouse and keyboard!
This is one of the cheapest and best remote controllers available for the PC today. It has 17 buttons, that are fully configurable. The key mapper software packaged with this remote is pre-configured for a number of different software applications - Cyberlink PowerDVD, ATI multimedia center, ATI DVD player, MS Powerpoint, CD Player, Winamp, and many more. Of course, you can always add an application yourself and configure the buttons accordingly.

You can configure the buttons to hit keystrokes - single or repeated with configurable repeat frequency and number of strokes - or cause mouse movements and clicks (yes!! with the latest version of the keymapper software, mouse movement is possible). You can ensure that Ctrl, Alt or Shift keys are accompanied with any of the key strokes or mouse clicks.

The battery in the remote control is a standard camera battery, and it runs for a reasonably long time. I am using it extensively since last 1 year, and the batteries aren't even weak yet. The remote control works even when it is not exactly pointed towards the IR receiver. In fact, it works over a really wide range of angles.

The only complain I would have with this remote is that the buttons and the remote itself are too small! For a small presentation or for occasional use, it may not mean much, but if you're going to be watching DVD movies on your computer and you like to change Volume at every scene (like me) then you may feel uncomfortable holding the small thing in your hand for too long!

All in all, a definite buy for anyone who uses their computer for multimedia purposes.
