Bluetooth rocks!
I've never had a wireless headset before, so I decided to get a small one. It's really easy to work and since it is Bluetooth enabled, I can be in completely different room and it still sounds clear.

One of the Lightest Headsets in the world
I got this device last month and connected to my Nokia 6820 and it worked fine , only some times you will have to manually reconnect the device after idle times , the headset is very light and small, be carfull if your will use it on Nokia 6600 which I tried and found that it doesn't support it.

Performance alright, Physical functionality lacking
All lan cards wireless or not are about the same. They either work or they dont. This one works, and it's a brand I once admired so I thought I would give it a try. Driver installed fine. The only thing I dislike is the xjack antenna doesnt retract while plugged in. So I have to remove the card to put the antenna in, and then reinsert it. I suppose it's better than having it stick out all the time like other cards.

    Ideal replacement for broken original...
Ideal replacement for users with 3C574-TX or 3C575-TX laptop network PC Cards. The only thing preventing a 5 star rating is the fact that 3Com uses properietary connections, which generally preclude the use of "generic" cables. Then again, considering the inexpensive nature, I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

      No Pain installation, works perfectly
This is a perfect unit as part of your home wireless system. This was the easiest install I had in a long time. I purchased this card together with 3Com wireless OfficeConnect Gateway. The installation process took less than 10 minutes.

      Positives;

      - Very easy install
      - Low packet loss
      - Works well in brick house with many interfering signals (Microwave, cabling...)

      Not so good:

      - Thirsty. Using the PC Card with my laptop made my battery life decrease by 50% (worse than even a normal modem)
      - Short product support (30 days...)
      - Range not so good.

        Cybex vs Avocent
Hmmm. Either Avocent bought Cybex or visa versa. See my review of this product under "Avocent 4 port Switchview".

          USB Hub Meets Expectations
This is a small USB hub that can be put in almost any out of the way place. A piece of Velcro keeps it solid when you plug in or take out your USB devices. I suppose that you could even mount it on a wall, if you needed the space.

The device is small. It has lights on each port letting you know it is up and running. There is a power in-put line for your power hungry devices. It can run just on USB power if your power demands are light.

There is no set up or software to install. Just plug it in and you're on your way. I have had no problems at all, however, I am not using any high data rate devices like a camera. I use it for gaming devices, a scanner and a keyboard.

Very nice overall. I like it and am satisfied. It has simplified my computing since I can leave a lot of things plugged in all the time now. The price is very fair for what you get. I recomend it.

          Fully functional on OS X
I'm using this product to connect a PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.2.8 with a Nokia 3650 telephone. Though Apple certifies only the D-Link Bluetooth adapter, I have found the Asante FBT100 performs well, and its documentation is more complete, especially for Mac users, than that of any competing maker I have found. I have tested the product for file transfer in both directions, synchronization, and GPRS modem connectivity. The configuration can be tricky, but that has nothing to do with whether you get the Asante or another adapter. Also, the adapter has a connector stem that is 1.3 cm (0.5 in.) long, which is too short to guarantee a solid contact in a deeply recessed USB socket, such as that in a Macally keyboard, for which you would need a midget USB extension cable; but no competing maker of USB Bluetooth adapters seems to solve this problem either.

My only quibble with Asante on this product is that its published support policy (on its Web site) appears finger-pointing*. Making this product work involves 4 companies' products interoperating, for example Asante, Apple, Nokia, and ATTWS. It's reasonable for any of these to insist that the others support their own products, but most of us users usually don't know whose product is defective or misconfigured when they don't interoperate. In selling to Mac users, Asante has to face the fact that Apple certifies only D-Link as compatible. The best way to do that is to (1) guarantee compatibility and (2) offer to help diagnose and fix problems even if it might turn out that they are the fault of one of the other companies.

By the way, of these four companies, ATTWS has done the most to provide step-by-step Web pages detailing how to configure both the Nokia phone and the Mac OS X computer to work together with ATTWS's GPRS service. (See its document ATTW8604.)

*The Asante policy on this subject is: "In order to use all the services of the cellular phone - such as Internet access through Bluetooth - please refer to the cellular phone manufacturer's manual. Asante does not provide training or support for third-party products or software."

            good and bad
This card kicks but with SolidWorks but the DirectX support is not complete even though it's suposed to be. I tried several drivers with no sucess. ATI's tech support doesn't have much to offer on the issue either.

              Doesn't include cables
Quick warning: This product doesn't include all the cables needed. The reason is simple, it could require either PS/2 cabling or older AT style cables. To save you some time the part numbers for PS/2 mouse/keyboard (modern cables, both are round with 6 pins, usually color code) is A3X982 and for AT Cables is A3X939 (serial mouse (9 pins), larger round keyboard connector) both kits include a 15 pin connector for the monitor.

There are other cable part numbers too (in case you have something that doesn't match this) all listed in the docs that come with this switch box itself.

The box itself works well for a small number of computers (this model is 2 out of the box but you can daisy chain multiple OmniView boxes) though there are better solutions for computer racks with very high numbers of CPUs. You have both a button on the switch box itself and keyboard hotkeys that will let you change from one CPU to another.

I do think this box is probably a little overpriced for a home user who only intends to run 2 computers off this box, but for anyone needing some ability for future expansion this is a wonderful choice.

              Ergonomic Design, But Not Sturdy
Awesome design and looks, however it has trouble standing up. Double Sided tape won't even make it stand up.

Other than that, very sleek, works great and is worth the money if you want a Firwire Hub that performs... Also works w/ or w/o power.
